Hello,
I have just tried to build the 8097 with bricks collected with the inventory
at Bricklink.
I found the first wrong parts at page 10! (dark bluish gray slopes 4x2... the
inventory says 3x2!)
Did I make a mistake??
Until now the bricklink-inventory was my "bible", I have collected several inventories
so far and never met any problems!!

So what was my problem?

Greetings,
Jens

There’s two versions of the set/instructions.

The inventory shows both: one with all the Regular items, and for the other,
you need to replace all the Regular parts with a MatchID of 99 (rightmost column,
MID) with the Alternate parts with the same MID.

It’s explained at the end of the inventory:

Redesigned during production.
There are at least 2 different versions of instructions for this set. The differences
for the second version are indicated in this inventory in the Alternate Items
section with Match ID 99.

Quick overview of redesign: Extensive design changes were made to strengthen
the base and internal structure. The early version has a piece count of 573 and
the later version has a piece count of 569.
