Hello,

I recently bought a set 7839 from 1989 advertised as new, however there are about
10 pieces not in packaging. The seller indicated not all peices were packaged
- did lego not put all pieces in pouches back then? The unpackaged peices all
seem random.

Larger parts are often loose in the box and not in plastic bags.

I bought a MISB one a few years ago, the parts not in bags are those in the Brickshelf
picture

But I've also bought vintage MISB sets with torn bags (but sealed boxes),
how does your bags look?

Nice set btw!

Cheers,

Ole
