col247 (Inv) Cute Little Devil, Series 16 (Minifigure Only without Stand and Accessories)
Minifigures: Collectible Minifigures: Series 16 Minifigures

I remember the first time I came across this figure, I searched "devil" and nothing
came up in the search because the figure name back then was...

"Imp - Minifigure only Entry"

So I thought, "well, I wouldn't call it an "Imp" but I'll remember that
going forward"

Then, I encountered it again more recently and searched "Imp" only to find no
results again because the figure name is now...

"Cute Little Devil - Minifigure only Entry"

When making a change to an item name, can the old name be left as part of the
name when possible/ feasible so that users can find a figure/part that they took
the time to memorize?

This is a perfectly fair request and we'll keep it in mind whenever possible.
In the case of that figure, I'm sure it was changed to match TLG's figure
name.

The flip side is when an item title is obviously wrong in one or more ways.
In those cases it wouldn't be appropriate to keep the incorrect portions
of the title. But BrickLink does have a history of keeping mistakes for the
sake of convenience (hence some of the past reluctance to get rid of items marked
for deletion for 10 or 15 years).
