What sizes (pixels) are required for the small and large pics? In my previous
submissions I've only sent in one size picture, most near the 800X600 pixel
range.

It varies depending on the item type. Look at the bottom of the image upload
page and it will tell you the minimum and maximum sizes allowed:

Change the item type to see the different allowable sizes.
