Sorry if my questions seems dumb, but I wonder:

Stormchaser, who is a Catalogue Administrator, is posting to the catalogue requests
topic. But who is in charge of approving/denying those requests? To me it seems
that he is posting to himself?
Same for inventories requests (Hygrotus).

Can someone please explain:
- what is the purpose of these requests?
- when you are an administrator, like Hygrotus or Stormchaser, who is the person
that approves/denies? As far as I know there's not a Super Inventories /
Catalogue Administrator paid by BrickLink who has the last word.

Who's the boss?

Everything is here
https://www.bricklink.com/memberAdmins.asp?utm_content=subnav
"Inventories Administrator
Verifies and approves new catalog inventories. Makes corrections to existing
inventories by adding, deleting or adjusting items in inventories. Gives and
revokes Registered Inventories Verifier status to and from other members. Has
auto-approval on inventories additions. Can edit Inventories help topics."

I can approve my own submissons in inventory change requests and my own inventories
and I do it and use this privilege. Some inventory changes are required to be
visible through the forum some may be done without it. Check blue squares here,
these are all changes behind the scenes not posted on forum https://www.bricklink.com/catalogInvChangeItem.asp.

Admin Russell is the boss in catalog and inventories activity

Maggie, Ronald, and I are responsible for these.

To me it seems that he is posting to himself?

I post in that topic to reply to members.

  Same for inventories requests (Hygrotus).

Inventories requests are done by administrators so that there will be a record
of the reason a change was made to an inventory.

  - what is the purpose of these requests?

I no longer need to make catalog requests, so I don't. For inventories requests,
the purpose is to document the change.

  - when you are an administrator, like Hygrotus or Stormchaser, who is the person
that approves/denies?

Administrators can approve or deny pretty much anything they request.

Yes, there is:
