Please make changes to the following inventory: [M=cty889]

* Delete 1 Part 973pb3100c01 Blue Torso City Jacket with Diagonal Lower Pockets & Pen over Creased Sweater, Orange Stripes Pattern, Printing on Back / Blue Arms / Yellow Hands
* Add 1 Part 973pb0551c01 Blue Torso City Jacket with Pockets & Pen over Sweater, Orange Stripes Pattern / Blue Arms / Yellow Hands

Comments from Submitter:
Purchase the set 30357 Road Worker Polybag new last weekend. Opened it today. The inventoried Minifig "cty889" does no match the supplied minifig. Specifically the torso differs from the inventory. it lacks printing on the back, the lower pockets are horizontal rather than sloping down toward the hips, has three rather than four buttons sand has matching button holes or snaps on the other side of the jacket, also there is no wrinkles visible on the light blue sweater midway down the torso. Lastly the supplied torso match the image of the minifig on the polybag and the two images of the minifig on the included set instructions. All of this implies that the inventory minifig "cty889" is incorrect.

Minifigure inventories are typically not changed. Instead, they are marked for
deletion and new entries created.

In this case my coworker Marek, an inventories administrator, inventoried the
set and his inventory was confirmed by a very reliable source. Therefore, I
consider it incredibly unlikely to be incorrect. The torso/figure only comes
in this one set, BTW, and Marek's photos are proof that the figure and its
torso exist and came in his set.

The set did definitely also come with the older-style torso as you have discovered,
though:

Therefore, what will happen in this case is that an alternate minifigure will
be added to the set inventory. Unfortunately your change requests will not be
approved, but we do appreciate your bringing this to our attention.

The particular alternate figure which needs to be added to this set is not in
the catalog. Please add the figure to the catalog or post a photo here so that
the figure may be added. Thank you.

My two cents to this case as a submiter of this minifig
Lego evidently updated printig of this torso. New torso

Part No: 973pb3100c01 Name: Torso City Jacket with Diagonal Lower Pockets & Pen over Creased Sweater, Orange Stripes Pattern, Printing on Back / Blue Arms / Yellow Hands
*
973pb3100c01 (Inv) Torso City Jacket with Diagonal Lower Pockets & Pen over Creased Sweater, Orange Stripes Pattern, Printing on Back / Blue Arms / Yellow Hands
Parts: Minifigure, Torso Assembly, Decor.
has
new part color code 6219626 and yes I found it in polybag set

Set No: 30357 Name: Road Worker polybag
*
30357-1 (Inv) Road Worker polybag
54 Parts, 1 Minifigure, 2018
Sets: Town: City: Construction
bought in Europe.

BTW
When you look here https://brickset.com/sets/containing-part-6219626 you will
see also on Lego render photo these changes in printing.
Intersting is that Lego list this toros for four sets, so it loks like will be
exchange of old torso in sets which are in production. Now are three more sets
with possibility to have alternate minifig with new torso print.

Old variant of this torso

Part No: 973pb0551c01 Name: Torso City Jacket with Pockets & Pen over Sweater, Orange Stripes Pattern / Blue Arms / Yellow Hands
*
973pb0551c01 (Inv) Torso City Jacket with Pockets & Pen over Sweater, Orange Stripes Pattern / Blue Arms / Yellow Hands
Parts: Minifigure, Torso Assembly, Decor.
https://brickset.com/sets/containing-part-4548877

The most interesting is this case is https://brickset.com/sets/30353-1/Tractor
when looking into official LEGO inventory of this you can see both torosos listed
I think this is the first case when I see in LEGO replacement parts service
both variant together in the same set. Usually after variant change LEGO lists
also for older sets with this part newer variant there.

Looks like I should have paid more attention to the details when I verified the

My set has this torso.

So am I the only one who notice and found updated print of this torso?
Difference is not so small old one doesn't have back printing, new one has,
beside other differences.
