Hi friends---

I submitted this to BL as a bug report with the new facelift but was told it
was user error.

If you set up your store to have quantity breaks, then all the divisions will
show, even if your actual quantitiy is below one or more of the breaks. See the
screenshot from my store.

The solution, per BL, is to never have a quantity break set up that exceeds current
quantity. There are two problems with this solution.

1. A buyer doesn't have to buy the entire lot. A buyer could leave a lot
at quantity 1 and afterwards, all the quantity breaks would still show.

2. The XML mass upload proceedure requires sellers to set up three price breaks
or none at all.

So I propose that quantity breaks should be hidden when the actual inventory
count is lower than any relevant breaks.

Please weigh in! Thanks!

I agree. What you want is how it used to display in the old design.

In your experience, do you think this is something that is on anyone's radar
to fix? Or should I accept the change and rewrite my XML generator? Thanks.

Definitely not user error, but I wouldn't call it a bug. Just poor programming
on the part of BrickLink. As a seller, tier pricing is good because it encourages
buyers to spend extra, and as a buyer, it's good because it allows you to
save money when buying in bulk, so I don't feel like this should be one of
those "suck it up or don't use it" kind of things. But it's never really
bothered me, anyway.
