| For parts that have no pic available in the specified color, would like to see
the 'image not available' pic instead of the part in white. Having the
white image is confusing when pulling orders.

| I'd still rather see an image of the part vs. no image at all. I don't
know the nomenclature of every part offhand, but when I see an image I get it
almost immediately. How about something like, show the white image, but add
a stamp across it saying "color not shown"?

Some marking might prevent errors.
On one of my first orders, I bought parts in a wrong color when I thought I was
buying white. On a few occasions sellers sent me white when I ordered something
else.
If it goes wrong in about 1% of my orders, then other buyers and sellers must
run into the same problem.

Yes, I have seen those. And because there is an image it might take some time
for the seller to notice that error. I suspect those items are difficult to sell.
I think the problems with orders are more important though.

I like this modification to the suggestion. I rather have a picture in the wrong
color with a stamp or something like that, than no picture at all.

I like this modification to the suggestion. I rather have a picture in the wrong

The problem with having an image is that it doesn't stick out like a sore
thumb that the site needs an image, so there is less likelihood of it getting
filled in. I would rather have no small image, since one can always click on
the image to see the large one.
