I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong, but it appears that there's
no way to add an element ID until a part has been approved by a catalog administrator.
It would be awesome if it was added to the page where we add items to the catalog.

Voted yes. At the very least, it should aid in verification purposes, as images
do.
