I think it would be a good idea to add a "Total Cost" column to this page: http://www.bricklink.com/wantedShop.asp

This column would total up the cost of what it would be for the desired qty for
all the items wanted in the store. That way, you could see which store has the
most number of wanted lots at the lowest price. The min buy is helpful, but
knowing how much all the stores would cost for all the wanted quantities would
be more helpful instead of having to click on all the stores and doing calculations.

Having the lowest price doesn't mean it's the cheapest store to buy from.
This is probably the reason why it isn't already there.

True but it might be a nice starting point for buyers.

It could be problematic due to some sellers selling multiple lots of the same
part. I know you can already sort by unique lots, but even then some stores
who list multiple lots of the same piece are high on the List.

If you can get the function to only count the lowest price if there are multiple
lots of the same piece then it might work.

What about used vs. new (if you don't specify in your WL)? Does it default
to used, if a store has both conditions of an item?

Despite all this nay-saying, I like the idea, and hope it could one day be implemented.

I don't see how this would work.

Let's say I have ten different colors of 1x1 plates, and also a particular
minifig on my wanted list.

The stores with the minifig would get pushed to the bottom of the list because
it is more expensive than the plates. So the stores that have MORE of the items
that I want, even if they have the best prices on the low-cost items, would not
show up on the top of the list.

I think this is a good idea, but would best be implemented after the feature
for instant payment on check out, that way sellers are forced to disclose there
shipping & fee's first.
That way a seller who really does have the cheaper parts and ticked the free
shipping box would show up first & so on.

I just thought it may be helpful to buyers that have a lot on their wanted list,
and want to get the most bang for the buck without having to search through all
the stores first...trying to knock the most items off my wanted list, for the
lowest possible price. But yes, I agree that shipping/handling might make the
final price different.
