| Just a suggestion for Bricklink 2.0
I thought it could be useful for sellers to know if someone has item(s) in cart
without actually showing which particular item(s), so that no foul play is done.
The reason I bring this up is so that the seller could time closing te store
(for maintenance, time off, etc reasons) when someone is not in the middle of
shopping.
This could be done with a simple message on top of My Bricklink and on My Store
Settings page.

| Currently if a seller closed the store at same time the items stay in the cart.
Buyer can just e-mail the seller for bypass.
Which i would prefer to having tons of useless e-mails when someone is shopping.
Especially since many shoppers don't buy. I myself often shop stores and
make a cart...but if i can't find enough items or the right items i clear
the cart and move to the next store and try until i find the right store with
qty and items i need to make it worth paying the shipping and handling fees.
but I understand why you suggest it... if they do make it please allow a seller
option to TURN IT OFF.
thanks

I would not want e-mail notifications either. Just a simple screen visual icon
or simple message in the store settings page would suffice.

The problem is the cart is stored on the buyers machine. Bricklink and the seller
have no idea it exists. Try putting stuff into a cart, then go onto a different
computer. It won't see your cart. Go back to the first one and it's still
there.

Good point Bret. Maybe this change can be implemented with BL 2.0, by storing
the cart contents on the server so that one can start shopping on a mobile device,
take a break then continue shopping on a computer. It would useful, because I
doubt I am the only one that often switches between different computers/devices.

Email your cookie to yourself on your other device.
As for the Suggestion, meh. I frequently fill carts but seldom buy.
