| If a store is closed for preventative action or because Admin suspects they are
a scam seller or otherwise not legitimate, please (a) disable that seller's ability
to send invoices through the BrickLink system, (b) clearly note such fact on
the Order Details and Buyer's Orders Placed page; and (c) send all buyers with
pending, processing or unpaid orders an email from BrickLink stating that the
store has been closed and why.
I applaud Admin for acting so promptly in closing several recent scam sellers.
However, multiple orders were placed by buyers before such action was taken and
many or most of those buyers may not be aware the store was closed before sending
their payment. Implementation of this suggestion will help to minimize the damage
that can be done by such scammers.

Agreed.
Although I think it should be clear when you look at the stores and with the
communication that affected people receive that these things are being looked
into only (ie the suspects are not guilty until admin says so) if you get my
meaning.

I disagree. If Admin has closed a store due to "preventative action" he has already
looked into things and found enough concerns to justify closing the store. I
do not believe Admin investigates things further afterwards and, as such, telling
buyers these stores are being looked into is not entirely correct.
BrickLink is not a democracy, nor does guilt or wrong-doing need to be established
beyond a reasonable doubt for Admin to take whatever action he deems appropriate
to protect BrickLink and its members. In fact, each member agrees when registering
for BrickLink that Admin can revoke, suspend or limit their buying and selling
rights here for any or no reason. Thus, this insistence upon being proven 100%
guilty before Admin can take action is misplaced.
I trust Admin to do what he thinks is fair and beneficial to the community. I
do not insist that he determine guilt or wrongdoing beyond a reasonable doubt
by, among other things, waiting for members to actually be harmed before taking
action.

You mean they do not already do this?
Interesting, I am sure it is by oversight, not intentional design.
I once had an order in a store that was closed.
I got an order cancellation, due to store being closed.
I thought it was automatic.
It was not one of the recent scam stores, and I have no idea why it was closed.
Maybe NRS reports, since the order had been out there for several weeks, with
no response, although I never filed an NRS.
