But I can't find any connection between the 2... Is it incomplete catalog,
or doesn't the catalog do this kind of relationship connections?

I noticed a store who is selling Torso's as NEW with description "pants are
glued to Torso".

I checked the same Torso from other sellers, and no other described it as glued
with pants.

Are Torso's and pants sometimes factory glued without the rest of the minifig
parts also glued?

I agree with you.

However, some stores has "instant checkout" which let's customers know the
shipping price in advance. If you prefer this, then look for stores with a lightning
bolt icon.

for the USA: https://images.brickset.com/library/Catalogues/c82usdc.pdf

Does anyone else of a certain *ahem* age remember what it was sold as back then?

Is there a reason BL settled on calling it the "Car Chassis" (which I think is
the name it was sold under in the UK)?

I bought and sold one a couple of years ago. I think it was named Car Chassis
on the box. NO version

part like an accessory that was in the picture of the fig, like a shoulder piece

new but incomplete or complete because BL never was set up like that. So BL
deleted my fig post saying it was against the rules but of course no explanation.
Do we really have to list a brand new fig as used, or as parts when it's
missing something like a cape or skirt???

When it gets deleted so quickly, does that mean that another member reported
it quickly to admins to get it removed? Someone said it's the new BL algorithm
that did it automatically, but that can't be true because I see other sellers
figs that are missing parts but still listed as new. So am I being singled out
by someone following me and reporting anything I do just to be a jerk?

Thanks in advance.
James

A companies decisions are based on my factors. Most likely this decision is based
on what benefits the most.

For my store minifig parts sell easier than complete minifigs. Don't worry,
parting out should be fine

Btw, local kindergardens love to get those yellowed parts

Is it possible for Bricklink to improve the method of requesting insurance for
an order?
Currently one has to add a comment to another area, which I am not sure if the
seller sees.
Also when doing instant checkout through Paypal, there is no way to add insurance,
as the order gets paid for before the seller even sees it. (To the best of my
knowledge, as I am not a seller.) I do add the comment anyway, but it seems
kind of pointless once the money has been sent.
Not sure if I am in the minority with my consistent request for insurance. If
so, then it is more understandable why this may not have been addressed previously
and/or may not be addressed soon.
Thank you for your time and consideration.

I think this depends on the sellers setting. I have instant checkout in my store.
Insurance is a checkbox at checkout.

I list a lot of used stuff, but I would wager that I'm not very efficient
at it, so hopefully others can give you better answers. I probably spend 20 hours
a week or so on my store between everything.

The hard part, I think at least, is once the numbers started to really pick up,
I don't have time to list/sort anymore like I used to. Something to consider
if you are limited on time.

You might find you can only expand/sell so much before you have to quit your
job to continue growing.

Thanks for your feedback currently about 7 hours pr week is spent on my shop,
but I keep my store closed half of the time to catch up on orders. I'm considering
to hire someone to work 8 hours pr week, but I'm not sure my shop is profitable
enough. I need to measure time and do some calculations. I think now is a great
time for hiring as many people lost their jobs

Thanks for your feedback in private messages guys

Bricklink recently moved all torsos with pattern into a new category, which resulted
in avsearch not finding them.

I've fixed it now by adding an option for plain/decorated torsos. Enjoy:
http://avbricks.no/#/avSearch

avSearch is based on goatleg by 62Bricks with some additional input from mfav.

For your information, the new nougat colors are not yet fixed, but I am aware
of the issue.

I'm considering to take my store from being a hobby into something more,
and would love to get some feedback. I am planning to find out how much it costs(how
many hours) to sort and register used-bulk-lots. Did anyone measure or research
how much time you spend to sort bulk lego, and what is the best strategy? My
current strategy is:

1) sort everything into 10 self-made categories
2) sort each category into specific pieces or narrower categories
3) repeat previous step until everything is sorted by specific pieces
4) sort each specific piece by color
5) Add to my inventory.

I plan to check kg/minute speed for each of my steps.

Thank you very much for your feedback I've fixed most of it Here's
the current status:

pitz8008:
The way goatleg used to do this is not possible anymore due to security fixes
on bricklink. I have some ideas how to make similar solution, but I need to know
how you want to use it. What is the purpose of searching, what is your next step?
List the part in your inventory?

mfav:
Regarding loading time. There's 2 main reasons for this. Servers are located
in Frankfurt(Germany), Filesize is big because of a library I am using. However,
once loaded everything should run fast. I've looked into it, but didn't
find a quick fix for slow loading time. I know a fix for it but it'll take
some time. It is not currently prioritized. Let me know if it is too annoying

FIXED: Search for Yellow Head, Any Stud Type, keyword: scar. Returns zero results.
FIXED: Search for Black Torso, Blue Arms, no hand color selected. Returns zero
results. (I got 9 results, but it seems to be correct)
FIXED: It appears that for any search all dropdown options must have an active
selection to function.
FIXED: At narrow screen widths the wrap is malformed or something
FIXED: It is returning blue arms, sand blue arms, medium blue arms, etc. Not
just blue arms.

User request not yet implemented:
- Loading time is slow in USA.
- Wish the search functionality was available in same window as bricklink (Need
clarification/user story etc)

I had a crazy week last week and didn't get a chance to manually pull my
Brickarms inventory before Lego kicked it off the site. I was hoping it would
be somewhere that I can still see what I had in my inventory. Does anyone know
if this is possible? Otherwise, I have absolutely no way to find them in my shelves
without access to the old listing details. Am I just going to have to stumble
across them over time as I pull other orders and see them? I was hoping they
would go into stockroom with no option to relist or something like that, not
just completely disappear. I should have screenshotted it so I had a record of
my previous inventory and its location, but didn't get a chance to between
when I saw the notice and when they pulled the listings.

Did you ever download your inventory? (Download button at the bottom of the page)

I can't help myself from returning to this topic.

It is not right to erase people who have contributed to the catalog and turn
them into a meaningless number (and a username that rhymes with "loser.").

The first attached image shows people who have contributed a set inventory to
the catalog. For each person it was only one inventory, but it was time they
took out of their day or week to make a contribution.

The second image shows people who have added items to the catalog. One person
added 113 items. Another added 97 items. Yet another added 87 items. And so
on down the list.

Some of these unregistered users are no doubt dead. Some have moved on to new
pursuits. Some may be in a coma or in prison. Who knows why any one person
hasn't logged on or may never log on again?

BrickLink wants contributions. BrickLink wants an involved community. But when
BrickLink treats former contributors so dismissively, by erasing them into meaninglessness,
it makes me think they have no respect for contributors.

BrickLink contributors deserve better treatment than this. Anonymizing people
who have contributed to the catalog was a poor decision. It was a careless and
heartless decision.

I urge the site to reconsider the decision to anonymize any former catalog and
inventory contributors.

It is probably related to privacy laws. If someone deletes their account it is
for a reason, and many want their info removed. This is a guess based on related
issues on other places.

Respectfully, Yeah, no. That happens, I’m going to have issues with two of you.

Andrsv, you want to take the two hours to write yourself your version based on
the instructions I’ve posted, then fine. Don doesn’t want that old version out
there and neither do I.

Also, be aware you may have maintenance issues with the code, and you’re probably
going to need to update regularly for colors.

He linked to my page from goatleg.no. What makes you think he don't want
someone to host it?

Why don't you want it out there? What's wrong?

Btw, I haven't used it myself, I just noticed people wanted it.

I may update it on request. Also I plan to put a tool there which combines duplicates
in your inventory. Currently I'm running a lot of self-made tools locally,
I needed a place to host it

I've bookmarked your instructions on how to create search function. It was
too long to read, so I didn't have time yesterday. Is it better than goatleg?

I have my own copy of the mini-figure-outer site that I always found to be far
superior. Could not get used to a frame above (goatleg) unless I rotated my
monitor to portrait mode. I'm a tab person.

Nice part is with your own copy you can move things like the colors yellow and
light flesh to the top of the list under head colors. I also ripped out the
color headings and tweaked it to make it as fast as possible (for me anyway).

Wanna share?

I'd pay $5-10 for a months access. Personally.

I don't use it too often, but when I do, I need it a lot all at once. So
I'd rather not have to sign up for a whole year.

I've hosted it here temporary:
https://avbricks.s3.eu-central-1.amazonaws.com/web/index.html

I just ordered a proper domain, so it'll move soon.

I think the costs for running this will be less than €20 pr year I'll
serve it for free for you guys, enjoy

It seems like this should contain "green baseplate", not "bright green baseplate"

Please show in the order details, the set from which pieces were ordered. As
a seller, this would be hugely helpful in finding the ordered pieces and sending
the order within a reasonable time.

When parting out a set you can choose default remark. I always set the set nr
as default remark. Would this solve your issue?

My want lists have a place for the bricks I have. It would be nice if the pieces
I purchase through BrickLinks would automatically show up in the haves so I can
keep track. Is there a way to allow this to happen?

You can use «Apply order» button in your wanted list

The best I can do using the bricklink site itself is an advanced search (https://www.bricklink.com/searchAdvanced.asp)
with these initial parameters.

Item Type - Minifigs
Min Quantity - however much you are trying to get
Sort by - lowest price
Keyword = -custom -statuette -microfigure -duplo -bionicle -"minifig stand"

Once you get to your results page, you can use the negative search indicator
to filter items. Unfortunately though - that one only appears to allow use of
one more negative search term, as far as I can tell...

I can't figure out how to exclude those stupid custom minifigure stands from
the search results, unfortunately.

I'll sell cheap used minifigures if you want to buy hundreds of them

You can find cheap minifigures here https://www.bricklink.com/v2/search.page?q=Minifigure&brand=1000&st=1&tab=M#T=M

I'm working on my own webshop and want it to synchronise well with my Bricklink
store. My software seems to work pretty well, but now I'm wondering, does
it happen that names/numbers of parts change on Bricklink, and if so, how often
does that occur? I want to gauge how necessary it is to do some extra coding
to accommodate for this.

I'm eager to hear more about your webshop. As far as I've understood
you've been dreaming about it for quite some time now, and finally your on
the way. Do you have something to show? Screenshot? Do you have a markedplan?
How do you decide which features to add? How big development team have you managed
to put together?

Good luck

  Hey guys,
Is there a listing option here to check which complete sets could I be able to
build using the parts in my inventory? If the answer is yes, can I exclude the
parts from my inventory that belong to a complete set I wouldn't want to
take apart for the purpose? I have a crazy amount of spare parts, I'd like
to check wether they could add up to some nice, complete sets

Don't get your hopes up. I've bought a lot of bulk lego (from Norwegian
site finn.no). Many claims that "all parts are probably there, but I can't
guarantee". Out of 100sets, there could be maybe 3-5complete sets. Most sets
have unique or rare parts, so it didn't help me much to have 5000 unique
spare parts. Rebrickable.com is great for finding what you can build, but you
will probably need some spare parts from bricklink 😉

2years ago I was doing what you probably are doing now. Then I got this idea
that it would be fun to have as many unique bricks as possible so that I could
build whatever I want whenever I want. Doesn't seem like it is going to happen,
I'm at about 10.000 unique now.

Have fun

Thanks, yeah, I see those tips now when I view the 3D part in "Quick Help Tips:",
dunno how I missed them before... I was slightly confused before that though
because when I was looking at a set inventory, part 3023 in black had a ! beneath
it but the same part in light grey didn't have one...

How is it confusing? Everybody knows that an asterisk is the symbol for "large"
and an exclamation mark the universal symbol for 3D, right? Can't see why
new users complain Bricklink is not intuitive

Then you were very lucky with this lot.
The color is really Dark Green, so you do not have to doubt it.

Probably this person has ever bought at a LEGO Store pick-a-brick.
Nice find!

... But it sold a total of 79 during the last 6 months, so you probably will
have problems selling yours for that price, especially since you have no other
bricks for sale.

Maybe you are better of selling it in bulk to someone here

I just bought a MacBook Pro and it is very fast! But it has got me wishing that
Bricklink had a seller feature that would automatically have the average price
(or what ever price you set it as) put in the box while adding items like brickOwl
does. I also love how brickOwl has the option to add the same part in multiple
colors at the same time and I really wish Bricklink had the same! I also like
it that if I posted a suggestion in the BrickOwl Forum for a new seller feature,
it would be done in a matter of a few minutes (most likely). I hope this seller
feature suggestion can be acted upon quickly and not years later to never.

I agree 100% with everything you ask for!

I used Brickstock to Load my stock into the store but the Price Guide that BL
has is a wonderful estimate to what I would do using Brickstock.

However, a piece of the parting out could be pushed to one degree further if
only you were able to have the BL system tell you what the items are that you
do not have.

In the attachment, off of a random set, I have the majority of the lots in my
store, but do not stock 4 of them. This is where it would be wonderful to have
a quick way of knowing what those 4 Lots are. Is there a way this already exists?
The only want I know of to check on this is to run an upload from Brickstock
into BL, take it to the verify screen and review the items that are not being
consolidated. Is there another way that is helpful?

Thank you

You will also see it when you do an inventory part out on bricklink
