I’ve got some vintage Star Wars Trading Card packs, I’d like to gift to a few
Dads. I mean, what father doesn’t like Star Wars or trading cards for that matter?
I’m lucky enough to be a father, and have posted my share of bragging about it
over the years here in the BrickLink forum. So…

If you’re interested in one of these 3-card packs from

As a gift, I’ll handle the postage anywhere worldwide.

(I’ll be gifting a limited amount, don’t know how many yet. But I will try
and get them in the mail before we leave on Thursday)

Happy Father’s Day, Dads! You're loved and appreciated

Gifting one more. I'll then try and get them all in the mail by the end of
today. Hopefully some will make it by Father's Day on Sunday

That is very very generous! Thank you so much! Happy Father’s Day to you too!

I would very much appreciate it! I’ll take you up on this amazing offer! I will
send my postage address privately! Thanks again! Happy Dad’s Day!

Got your address, Bricks of faith. I assume you're a father?

Yep! One teen boy and a 6 year old girl!

Very nice. Thanks proud father!

Thank you! It’s actually my son’s old collection that is being sold in our store!
He does most of the listing and I am just there for moral support 😂

Very nice. He's doing a good job, let him know for me. Your gift has been
packaged and will be mailed tomorrow.

-Thanks

  Hello, helpful people!
I have a quick question on how Bricklink charges fees. If a credit is applied
to an order after it has been placed (but before it is paid), will the seller
still be charged BL's fee on that amount, or on the final total?

Thanks!

It's a good question, the terms covering this can seem ambiguous.

As I understand it, seller fees are applied to what is itemized as “Order Total”
within the transaction's details. Straightforward so far, right

When an order is credited via the use of a coupon during checkout, it remains
the fee’d amount. But if an order is credited retroactively by the seller, then
the “Order Total” though still the fee’d amount, is now on the wrong side of
itemization and therefore fee-considerations.

The use of the term "love" is a particular peeve of mine. Don't take my input,
wrong Words carry weight among us

Wonder if it's just us English users, who over-utilize those weighty four
letter words. The commone consumer usage "Like it, but don't love it. (Won't
buy it.)" And if that's his opinion, Stuart can reasonably say he loves his
Lego.

Trade you a pet peeve for a pet theory? I think, through characterizing love
as three unique emotions, that you can figure out your true feelings - based
entirely upon how sleepy the subject tends to make you feel!

The Three Love-As

Attraction: Adrenaline and androgens (Decreased serotonin, less sleepy)
Attachment: Oxytocin and vasopressin
Affection: Dopamine and norepinephrine (Increased serotonin, more sleepy)

Always fantastic input, Caleb!

Interesting too. But your premise misses the point. Thanks nonetheless

  Hello Everyone,

Today we have another change in the Community Experts Program - our Catalog Associate
Randyf has been promoted to Catalog Administrator:

A credit to BL's administrative acumen.

This means he will have privileges on both sides of the BrickLink catalog admin
system - he is only the 4th BrickLink user to ever have that honor.

Increased privileges, another way of saying more responsibility?

Randy has worked tirelessly in the catalog area this past year, and we are confident
he will fill this new position well.

Here's me wondering and hoping that such tireless effort holds reward beyond
that of forum accolades and title, for the entire catalog team that is. I'm
sure it does.

Please join me in welcoming Randy to his new position!

Welcome to your new position, Randy

They need you to consider "once-a-day announcement posts" which ironically might
benefit your efforts here.

So you’ve no doubt been feeling it coming like a head-on freight train, inflation.

If you’re smart, you’ll not conflate the indexes of all consumer pricing. Prices
of necessities, i.e. energy and food (heavily linked) or fixed consumer goods,
will continue to rise to uncomfortable levels, that's a certainty. Which
will cause the non-essentials to deflate some and for now, such as toys.

(Yes, despite their recent public announcement to damped the inevitable)

For those in the resell game, keep in mind, it's timing and nerve that will
set you apart.

The other of our Costco warehouses sold their (pallet loads) for $15 per unit.
If I were still in the game, I’d get a manager to offload their inventory to
me for $15 per unit, matching the other Costco. I’m not, but maybe you are?

Just one example of what I’m sure are many more to come. Cape diem, resellers!

I just rely on my wife to provide for me.

A kept man?

It will certainly be interesting to see how it goes. LEGO has already indicated
it plans to hit the larger adult sets with higher increases than smaller sets.

Sure, go ahead and bite on that. I used to count on it my competitors ignorance.
The same Costco warehouse today, had the larger SW sets too

And even larger sets, newly moved to the floor with discounts that will no doubt
as is the pattern, be discounted much further soon.

I'll post when they do.

Here, the better off that typically buy multiple adult sets a year probably
won't notice or care. Maybe they are right to target those sets, so sales
of the kid aimed sets are not hit as much. At the weekend I saw one woman buying
a £80 piece of beef, which put my £5 pork belly to shame.
