My question is, is there a way to add the parts back into my cart from the quote?
I had over 3000 parts and over 150 lots, it took a significant amount of time
to add all those parts to my cart.
|
Go to your Quotes made page:
https://www.bricklink.com/myQuotation.asp?qtype=Q
Select the one just got cancelled and open it, at the bottom there is a button
to add the contents to a Wanted list. Do it and then return to the store, go
to the wanted tab Shop tab and click Wanted Lists, then select the Wanted list
you created on the left and with a click in "Auto-Fill:[Min" (once per
page) you should easy add back all your items.

I can't figure out what that hidden trans red item is. Your change request
results in 2 sprues. The inventory shows 2 dishes. Besides the hidden item I
see 1 sprue and 1 dish.
Diana
|
Can you please confirm that this seller has 2 of these sprues in the sealed bag
and / or add a zoomed in image if it shows that hidden piece better. For I only
see one and I prefer not to ask a seller the same thing twice, if not necessary.
Diana
|
The hidden piece has to be the other dish.
|
| One sprue is extra and was not in this specimen. No direct evidence that the extras were on a sprue when present, but I wouldn’t expect to find two if they weren’t.
|
I think I have to go back to school to learn English again. I really don't
understand what you are saying here
|
I presume that the inventory change to add extra 4073 was correct, but the set
I got a picture of does not have extras. My change request to make the extras
also a sprue is technically a guess. But I think it is a good one, because if
the sets that had extra didn't have the sprue piece, they would have only
had ONE extra 4073. Having 2 extras when there are only 2 in this small set
is a strong clue that the extras were also on a sprue.
|
Without your evidence, I would also think these 2 extra 4073 might be correct
(4 regular were changed to 2 regular and 2 extra). But the source for the inventory
as well as the change is unknown and you delivered evidence there is no extra
sprue ??
Only a small percentage of the sets with these sprues also have an extra sprue,
so I really don't know what to do with your request with the info you gave
me. If you only asked for images, maybe you could send this seller another message
asking for a better image showing all trans red parts better?!
Thanks,
Diana

https://www.worthpoint.com/worthopedia/vintage-lego-set-1580-lunar-scout-3864763650
The set might have been inventoried with 4 as 2 are shown inside one side container
on the box image while getting 4 in the inside bags for the inventory person's
set, but instrucctions show only 1 in each container.
Nevertheless there are also many that just show 2 4073:

Yep. And it seems to be a site-wide issue with quotes. Since yesterday, when
I send a message with quotes to another user on BrickLink, the email copy of
my message shows the quotes like this:
|
They are replacing quotes by HTML entities (“& 34 ;” means “this is characther
#34, the straight quote”) to “sanitize their database inputs” as explained here:
https://www.explainxkcd.com/wiki/index.php/327:_Exploits_of_a_Mom
|
Always fun to read those, even multiple times.
And also using ' instead throws a blank page saying:
The page cannot be displayed because an internal server error has occurred.

Did the buyer actually use PayPal onsite?
Normally with onsite the status should automatically go to paid and then you
set another status
|
That would explain why the seller can't change the payment status
from None
|
If memory serves, even with on site payments, a buyer can FORCE the payment check
box to Paid (but BL shows then a warning).
Maybe it's related?

Don't think so, with onsite only a Pay button appears instead of the checkbox
of offsite.

So, what to do with this new/old mold?
Both 4079 and 4079b have 4 small circles on the bottom.
4079 doesn't show a (c) year
4079b started without a (c) year and 'ended' with (c)1978
This new mold doesn't have these 4 circles at the bottom, shows (c) 2009,
but has the molding pip back on the stud (like 4079) instead of inside this ugly
sprue (like 4079b). This change however was the reason of making a new entry
with center sprue.
Strange use of copy right years btw, using it after the mold is changed.

I unsealed this set a few months ago, but still have all or almost all the pieces. I will take pics of these pieces soon.
|
We have not split the pink color. That is classic paradisa pink, not Light Pink.
|
Why was the cloth part moved back? There is no Light Pink color.
56 Light Pink was cleared out to make room for Paradisa Pink/17 Rose. Sellers
already list that color under BL Light Pink.
|
The main issue is that there is no clear dividing line in the inventory system
between early pink and middle pink. So we would end up with whole inventories
of Paradisa sets where the pink could be either one.
We have that situation in the 2003-2004 color change (Light Gray to Light Bluish
Gray) and those inventories are still compromised, meaning that to accurately
represent the two colors, we would have to have hundreds of alternate lines in
the inventory, which in some cases would nearly double the size.
Until we have a better way of handling alternate colors, we will need to hold
off on separating the early and middle pink.
The Light Pink changes so far were allowed because we found the existing colors
to be in error or there was a closer color. It wasn't because we were trying
to clear out the Light Pink color.
As a company, we actually did a study several years ago to see if people could
recognize the difference between the two colors, and we also collected a lot
of possible names from the public for the new color. So we were definitely prepping
to split the color, but then we ran into the inventory issue.
If you have an idea on how we could solve this, please share it with us.
|
Inventories for the lasts years have up to 1137 unique lots, for the ones in
2004 or before, even doubling (not because only some items would be possible
in two colors not all) those sets inventories would be smaller than the ones
we currently have.
https://www.bricklink.com/catalogStats.asp?v=1&statID=L&itemType=S&inItemType=
Another option is to use the way of LG/LBG, the inventory is done with the earliest
color and a note is added that all parts can be XXX color also, and that just
the unique parts are shown as alternates so that they appear in the known color
lists.

That doesn't sound right. If he had a paypal transaction, then the seller

The PayPal transactions for IC orders don't have the order ID because the

the best is to contact admins and see if they can track what happened.

You offer 2 Paypal payment options:
Paypal (onsite) and Paypal
Did they choose the first one, the pay button should be there.
If they choose the last one, they manually have to make a payment via Paypal
to your account.

Anyone can explain?
|
What they state is correct, CBP does not collect state sales tax, but BrickLink
being a Marketplace has to collect state sales tax on goods sold to USA customers.

BrickLink needs the payment to be made onsite (i.e., through PayPal or Stripe)
in order to collect VAT on EU orders under 150€.
|
But they do offer PayPal Onsite, I still see the banner:
|
I was just about to say the same. Could it be that they have only micropayments
onsite for international or something like that (IDK as I don't use it).
Or maybe no postage methods that allow an order over 150 euro?
|
I don't know, 8 EUR orders lets me until place order and 120 EUR also lets
me until place order, maybe the banner dispersar after a few hours or the next
day after allowing PP onsite?
Tha thing is that the payment I see is just paypal, not Paypal onsite...

Indeed, I would recommend keeping your inventory if you can. I don't foresee
the value of lego bricks going down anytime soon.
|
Uhhh excuse me, but it's the exact opposite.
For years (until now anyway) price of the LEGO parts have dicreased.
Right now you can find zillion of parts on BrickLink under the dollar cent or
euro cent.
LEGO PAB show parts at 0.04€ while it was at a minimum 6 or 7 euro cents couple
years ago.
In short, I don't foresee what you foresee - of course, I'm talking about
parts, not Boba Fett or ISD Sets

Plus at least 2 new factories...

Parted out 15 of the set in 2018, still have 1 remaining part in my inventory that has part number 18744 molded.

cames only with magazines?
And is it safe to buy and can it be fake or used condition?
|
Sellers with huge quantities tend to be in the country where the magazines are
produced. So I imagine they are foil bags produced by lego then not used, and
disposed of by the magazine publisher.
|
The foilpacks (now paperpacks?) are actually produced/packed by the publisher
BlueOcean, or so it states on the back.
These are distributed by different companies in each country to quioscs and so.

You can try to import the XML file to the program BrickStore 2022, it tries to
fix those errors automatically, then save as BrickLink XML and then you can upload
it here.

No, not while copying a full e-mail on forum.
This is just propagating.

Why not just remove the link instead of just completely deleting the OP? It makes

Excel - Open - "All file types" - file.bsx - Accept - Accept.

Brickstore makes it easy to do this and more.
|
Agreed of course (and it's free and open-source).
In BrickLink you could in the Inventory page, but only by Categories (Bricks/Plates...)
|
You can within Bricklink, go to this page and select these two:
https://www.bricklink.com/catalogOptions.asp?viewFrom=P
Show Items in My Inventory
Show Items for Sale as number of ITEMS
|
Ah yes but then it'll always show you this until you unset it back.
|
You can leave it as so and if you want to know how many lots you have it is a
click alone and the results page of your inventory shows that info:

| Ahhhh dont worry mate, you got enough to keep you going!!
As do I, I am a newbie to the whole "catalog identification" thingie but I'm
getting used to looking for specific defining features, like it looks like a
boat hull, so I look in the boat hull section.
Or maybe a modified plate, so I'll look in this section.
https://www.bricklink.com/catalogList.asp?catType=P&catString=27
It doesnt take too much time unless its a head with printing, then you have to
search for more details, there is like 200+ pages worth of lego heads.
|
But when looking (at things like heads), you can generally cut that count by
half+ - 50% of those will be male/female. You can the reduce significantly
further by colour and features. That 200 pages can then end up as just 50...
As for numbers not being visible to the naked eye, at the right angle, in the
right light, yeah, that is a real problem.
|
Don’t forget to also type hollow, blocked, solid, or vented to narrow it down
more
For example
Yellow head hollow dual female glasses
|
Or better filter out by using exclusion words -beard -lipstick etc
