I just found out my oldest cat Sammi has cancer. She follows me around, sits
in my lap and sits on my computer desk when I am doing things. She sleeps in
my arms all night along with the 4 other cats that sleep on my legs and feet.
I cannot move for most of the night because I do not want them to leave. I
care for my cats, especially her, more than anything else except my family and
country. She helped me deal with the death of my 18 year old cat in 2008 by following
me around and insisting on being with me and has always been very vocal when
I am not home. We have a very special bond that is much stronger than I have
with my other six cats that I also love dearly.
I do not mean to use Bricklink as somewhere to lay my ills, but I am not on any
other social media and have a very small family, none of which are in El Paso.
I know that there are many cat lovers here and other pet lovers. This is the
only place to try and share my grief. For all the members that have beloved
pets cherish them as much as possible while they are with you.

So sorry to hear this, John... A pet is a special kind of love... After too
many years without one, we have recently welcomed a rambunctious puppy into our
hearts... She is such a part of the family now... Give Sammi a cuddle for us...

Hi. This is meant to be like a game, or like for fun. So if the amount of

you have at home h. number of tries to get a job or i. something other, then
what? I hope at least 1 person could answer, thanks. Mine is closer to my shoe

Mine is roughly the number of times I have been to Disney... Which is ironic,
since I'm sitting in a Disney hotel writing this... First visit back in two
years...

that Duplo bricks are large and compatible with ordinary LEGO bricks so they

And I know that many things when they are long out of production can shoot up
in value but not everything. Duplo sets can collect hefty value; Primo sets don't

thrift store years ago for a few dollars and the thing's worth over a hundred

aren't compatible with ordinary bricks any more than Primo.

Over the next number of years (currently undefined), I will be closing up shop.
My view in that a quarter century is a good time frame for what I’ve done here,
and have tried to achieve.

As such, I will periodically run sales/offers/donations, to physically move inventory
out the door. This will be done intelligently, and if no takers appear (after
a number of attempts) I will donate to a charity or (in some circumstances) send
to a landfill.

Because of the volume/weight involved, and what with shipping being what it is,
some transactions (whether monetary or not) will involve physical transfer to
the person(s) receiving. I.E. I’m not shipping, got it ?

The first in this sequence will be empty boxes. I probably have 20-50 empty boxes
from sets, all of these are 15-25 years old. When I find the time, I will compile
a list and post it against this message. They will be free, but you will be required
to drive to a location which is roughly described as one hour west of Gainesville
FL to receive them. If no one sees a reason (or value), then out they will go.

I'll be sorry to see you go... I've learned a lot from your presence

Yeah, I don't recall if I saw it on EBAY or AMAZON, but I have for sure seen
checkout or tracking number warnings somewhere. Also I've gotten
emails that my parcels arrival dates have been bumped.

I think its a legit concern, esp if the big platforms are doing something about
it.

There is a bright red banner on the USPS tracking page announcing that there
are delays in transporting the mail...

I've been following several packages that just seem to get stuck in limbo...
Taking 2-3 days to get from one facility to the next - in the SAME city...

So buyers should know it's not you, the sender...

What they should know and what they do seem to not be the same. I've gotten
many messages.

You're right, unfortunately... It seems that BL could post some kind of
banner right now acknowledging the shipping difficulties... But some buyers
probably still won't 'see' it... Hang in there!

  Hi All,

Thank you for sharing your feedback and reporting issues with the Wanted List
upgrade! Due to some filtering issues which were carried over from the classic
version along with some other bugs and feature requests, we have decided to push-back
the removal of the classic version for now. I will post an announcement on the
forum once a new date is set for the classic version to be deprecated.

If you have any more issues with the upgraded Wanted List to report, please email
bugs@bricklink.com.

Thanks again!

Thank you! I haven't commented in this thread but I am glad to see you're
taking a little more time before the roll out. Surprisingly, I actually prefer
the newer version for creating/modifying a wanted list. But I still prefer the
older version when shopping/comparing with my wanted lists. I hope all of that
functionality is retained, specifically the "By Shop" function.

I'm the type of person who would not use the easy buy function--I prefer
to browse and compare manually, not have everything handed to me. Sometimes
simply browsing is part of the fun. There are lot of factors other than price
and availability that come into play when I'm shopping (do I like the store's
terms, the seller's general demeanor, his feedback, the item descriptions;
are there any other items in the store--impulse buys--that weren't
on my wanted list). Frankly, I just don't trust a one-click solution.

The newer version still has several problems that need to be addressed (that
I think have all been addressed here already).

Anyway, I probably got of track a little bit, but I think I got my concerns out.
Thanks again for being receptive to the Forum community.

-Chris

Agreed! I shop in a similar manner...

  Hello Everyone,

In June of last year, we introduced a new Wanted List upgrade. This upgrade came
with a newly-designed buying experience which focused on the necessity to compare
and plan out multiple carts at once, as well as make it easier to manage multiple
lists.

Since BrickLink's Wanted List is a core feature for most users, we currently
provide the classic version for members to use as a backup in case there are
glitches with the new version. This is intended to be a temporary solution.

The classic version of the Wanted List feature will become unavailable on
June 5, 2017.
At this point, we have ensured that the new version of the
Wanted List covers all desired functionality (plus more) from the classic version.
If you have any issues with the new version, please let us know as soon as possible.

Thank you for the continued support, bug reports, and helpful feedback as we
continue to roll out important changes.

Sincerely,

Jaclyn

This is very disappointing news... I don't know if it is my browser or because
I am on a Mac, but the new wanted list pages don't work correctly for me...
All I get is a list of stores selling an item on my list (and my filters are
never saved so must be reset EVERY time I go to it) in no particular order, without
even the price showing. I have to click on each item as if I were going to buy
it to even look at it... I only use the classic version to do my shopping.

I wish you would reconsider...
