Nice to see so many 0 feedback user accounts well acquainted with the inner workings
of the BDP. I guess you need 2 (or more) accounts if you plan to buy more than
the two sets you're allowed to buy. Gotta get them up on auction sites for
pre-sale re-sale!

I'm assuming you had a wanted list for the original 3 carts correct?

I would remove the parts you bought from the other 2 stores and then use that
same wanted list to purchase what remains.

Do you have a pro-tip for me on how to convert this cart into a wish list so
I can even find new stores?

My original 3 WLs were spread to different carts and I have already paid the
other 2...

TLG claims to have fixed the issue with brittle issue in 2018. So anything older
will most likely be more susceptible to breaking.

I don't have anything to say regarding your post but I visited your store
and thought your terms were really good.

You might want to include your Postal code so people know approximately where
you're located. I find this useful for local pickup. In years past, I asked
for a "stores near me" feature where people can have their postal codes
or zip codes listed privately and a page where you can search within 10, 20,
50km or miles.

In Suggestions, Hal8472 writes:
I see lots of people trying to sell there entire store. Logically we might all
get to this point at some point. I haven’t gone to the process of creating a
massive lot but frankly that seems like a lot of work. Realistically these sales
are taking place outside of Bricklink. Probably on another social network, perhaps
local. Frankly, without Bricklink fees. Fees and facilitation goes together.

Hi folks. Initially when I set up shop, the software I was using was in USD
so I set my prices in USD as well to make things easier. However, I'm no
longer using that software and I'd like to change my pricing to CAD. However,
simply changing the currency does not adjust the prices.

What's the safest (and hopefully easiest) way to accomplish this? What precautions
should I take, ie backing up store, closing my store etc..

Then there's the task of resetting all my prices at once to 6 month average.
What's the easiest way to do that?

I'll admit I'm more of a hands off seller when it comes to maximizing
sales. For me it's a hobby and there's no difference to me if I get one
or two sales a week vs five, but many more would be unmanageable for me to keep
up with and this is not my primary source of income. Having said that, I'd
still like to easily drop prices on mass.

Please share your tips and tricks! Much appreciated.

That's a lofty expectation to be honest. I think you have just over $1000
in inventory and you want 90% of that? You're more likely to get about
$200-300.

Vancouver is the only province that sort of rhymes with maneuver. Heard in a

I'll be in London for four days from July 7th to 10th and I plan to drop
into the Leicester Square store. For all the locals, are there any store exclusives
I should pick up while I'm there? Feel free to mention your BL stores as
well if you're willing to meet up at the store on July 8th or 9th.

Thanks!

Warped parts are warped parts. Does it matter where they came from? They don't
meet the quality standards. They should be replaced IMO.

Now, if you stockpiled all your broken reddish brown pieces from the last decade
and tried to make a claim, that's probably pushing it.

While TLG technically owns BL I'm not sure parts here bought here would qualify
for a replacement?

Has anyone tried that?

Cheers,

So, I've been eyeballing this part :

*
65803 Technic, Brick 16 x 16 x 1 1/3 with Holes
Parts: Technic, Brick

For some time ...

I build a lot of Classic Space(stations) and since having moved away from baseplates
I use a combination of platelayer + bricklayer + platelayer to create my own
"baseplates" with Technic holes at the ends to make a modular setup

These 16x16 thingies, mostly used in mosaic sets, are pretty close to that so
I've bought some for testing

Since they're invisible (I will put a layer of tan plates on top so the colour
doesn't matter to me), I've bought five new ones in lavender (cheapest
colour)

But they're all very clearly warped!

All five in the same maner

Is this a known problem with this part?

Now, I haven't build anything with them yet so they may straighten out with
some weight on the top?

Cheers,

Ole

Space is limited, so I was hoping to keep it to 1 brick thickness.

This is what happens when you change plans after you're done building something
massive and then adding a detail becomes impossible.

Not many, as has already been pointed out.

You see, the purpose of arches is to create an archway over an entrance where
you would naturally place minifigs and anything that would be good to model underneath
it.

If you want to go for that filled in look, just brick up behind the arch, oftentimes
that is done in real world constructions. They didn't bother trying to fill
the arch, they just bricked it up.

Cheers ...

If the seller uses USPS, most packages come through unchecked for customs so
you don't get dinged 90% of the time. The reason for that is there aren't
enough customs agents to check every package. This is what I was told from a
Canada Post employee.

If you use ship with UPS, FedEx or any other courier, expect your customers to
be very unhappy!

In Shipping, Nubs_Select writes:

implications to be aware of?

None on the seller's end (e.g., you don't have to enter an IOSS number
electronically, etc.) as BL doesn't (yet?) collect and remit Canadian HST/etc.

Do not, and I can't stress this enough, ship via UPS to Canada. In addition
to any customs fees and taxes that might be incurred, UPS charges a brokerage
fee.

Agreed. Ups is the absolute worst.

I think the consensus is that you didn't do the right thing. But, you can.

Remove the negative, say you made a mistake and apologize to the customer and
offer to send the parts to his buyer if he still needs it done.
