I highly recommend building MOCs in studio before buying the parts so you can
get an idea of how the build process translates into real life; that way you
can avoid wasting money (outside of spending $5 on instructions)

What MOC is it?

A walking panda

Ideally it would indeed be the best way to proceed. But it would take the fun
out of Legos definitely for me.

There's a comment section for the MOC, yes. But I saw he deleted it again...

Sadly it's not on bricklink and there is no such thing on the website.
But I'm really pissed. He didn't even change the instructions. It's
as crappy to read and follow as it was.
He just optimized some parts of the build (instead of putting a 1*3 next to a
1*1 now it's a 1*4 for example), and put "I recommend to start at step
13, build up, and then come back and do the first 12 steps".
So lazy. So greedy.
Oh sure, he has over 40 MOCs. Easy when you only do them on computer. Can't
imagine how many people he scammed with that.

A quick update: after 2 months waiting for a re-designing, the new version would
cost me an additional $400 🤣 I already paid over $500 in the first place
So no. This guy shouldn't be allowed to do paying MOCs.

Hi

Just finished the Hogwarts Icons build and I can not figure what to do with the
2 little podium-like things that I build at the very end (pages 396 & 397).
The only moment I saw them was on the picture at the end of the book (the picture,
with what I'm talking about: https://i.imgur.com/JQGGHTw.png), and it's
just sitting there.
On every video or picture I found other than that one, it doesn't appear.
It has an axle coming out, so it must go somewhere, I assume.

Am I being blind on that one? Anyone knows?
Thanks

Hi

I'm really confused about quite a few things when trying to find the parts
I have in my wanted list.

First question: is there any way to switch "lots" to "parts"?
When I search stores to get my parts, instead of telling me "434 parts",
it tells me "102 lots" and that's just annoying. I know how many
parts I have in the MOC. Not lots. I've never seen a MOC saying how many
lots there are.
At least a way to know, in a wanted list, how many parts there are.

Second question: I selected a store, and it was telling me I had 104 lots (I'm
supposed to have 102). I counted every item, and it adds up to 491. Instead of
434. What the hell is that?! Those things aren't in my wanted list. Is it
trying to sell me stuff I never asked for, hoping I wouldn't notice?!

Third question: if I buy stuff from a wanted list in a store, do I have any way
to know how many parts are missing AND what they are? I tried with a store, I
put the items in my cart, and when I went into my wanted list nothing had changed
and I could find anywhere what was missing. You'd think that if I bought
it I'd know, but I did buy something in the past and my wanted list hasn't
changed, so I just assume the wanted list isn't linked to the buyings you
do.

Thanks

Good to see most go my way. I bought (yes, bought) a MOC that I’m 99.9% sure
wasn’t built. Too many things don’t make sense, are unreadable, and there’s no
picture (and the seller told me: “send me a pic when it’s done!”. I thought “ok,
why not”, now I understand why)

Hi

Building a MOC I found, I got to thinking. Do generally people build their MOCs
in real life before uploading them? And do you think it should be? Not as a rule
per say of course (I mean, it would be possible).
Kind of like in romhacking, some people do not playtest their games, and it's
obvious, and I don't think this is right.

What's your opinion/experience on it?

Thank you to all for your answers!
Actually, I thought PLG was a color for regular bricks back in the day, I saw
it in Stud.io. I saw it in the list of colors on another Lego website and thought
I could get it!
So brick yellow (tan) turns out to be the closest, definitely

Hi

Pearl Light Gold is the perfect color I'd like for some tiles. Unfortunately
it doesn't exist anymore.
I found brick yellow, which is pretty good. Maybe a bit light though.

Is there anything better?

Thanks

Have you contacted the seller? Some sellers take a few days to ship the package
or to mark it as shipped. A good seller will let you know the status of the package.

I only sent them a tweet, because I don't want to be that guy "harassing"
the seller after a couple of days. But I'll definitely consider contacting,
thanks!

I've ordered from DDBricks many times and never had a problem. They are
one of the top 10 shops on the site in terms of sales volume so they may have
a backlog of orders to pull before yours. But they are a legit shop and one
of my go to stores.

Thanks! That's reassuring!

Hi
I recently placed my first order on the website, to DDBricks.
My package was quickly said "packed", but there is no news for the past
4-5 days. I would imagine preparing the order can take a long time, I definitely
imagine it will take a long time between "shipped" and delivery from
Thailand to Europe, but when the package is done and closed, I don't really
know what can take time before being shipped.

Is there nothing to worry about? Can it be that it shipped but not arrived in
Europe yet? (doubt it)

Thanks
