I'm not 100% sure what you're asking but:
- you can't turn a BL order into an outside-of-BL order
- you can sell items you've listed on BL elsewhere
|
You answered sufficiently. I just wanted to make sure I understood in case a
buyer asks this of me again in the future. Thank you!

| Is there no logo on 4589 (cone 1x1 - no groove)? I can't find it on any of
the items I'm about to load to the store. It's easy to find on 4589b
(with groove).

Thanks. I probably picked up a knock-off but it's a good one - the print
is spot-on the same. Thanks for the info!
|
It might still be a genuine LEGO part. Please post a photo so it can be identified
properly. Older versions of this part from long ago aren't as highly detailed
as parts released recently.
Whenever TLG uses a mold that hasn't been used in a long time, they update
the mold, if it did not previously have identifying information it gets added.
Cheers ...

Do you have any photos of this part? Does it have a molding streak down the back
of the part?
My pre-2011 armor pieces all have this streak. The 2011 chestplate does not.

Here are the best pics I can muster at the moment. Not sure why they loaded sideways.

Today, the 20th, my order still has not shipped although a shipping label was
created on the 19th.
I don't appreciate being lied too. So...
Do I wait to see if they will actually ship my order today?
Do I contact the store again?
Would it be too premature to file an NSS and maybe get the store owner off their
proverbial butt?
I would appreciate your opinions.

As a seller I have run into a situation several times where USPS does not show
the current tracking data online ( "Tracking data unavailable" ). But
when I go to the post office to check the status they have a detailed schedule
of where it is that they can print out. Just consider that whenever something
like that happens - sometimes the online site tracking isn't synced up with
it's actual location. I don't know if your seller is lying or not, but
there are situations where they have no control. Very seldom, but possible.

Do any of you cancel and refund in situations like this when you don't get

Be sure to send a message directly from your email to theirs. Some messages sent
through the BL system get lost in junk folders.
Check to see if the apartment number is included on their BL address if it happens
to be missing from the Paypal one.
Have they received feedback recently from another seller? You could reach out
and see if they solved this issue already.
Good luck,

|
Yes/no.
NO: if they're NOT marked "Retain", there shoudn't be any (assuming you
didn't move them yourself, but then it'd be a strange question).
YES: it happens from time to time, here once every some months.
It seems related to how the Instant Payment works, as items move to stockroom
while the buyer pays (for 10 minutes AFAIK).
Then normally, those are deleted.
Sometimes they're not, but usually deleted the next day (when BL restarts
after midnight EDT), where there seem to be a kind of purge.
Leave them as is and check on tomorrow?
If not deleted tomorrow, simply delete them manually.
There's also an option you could check somewhere in shop settings:
[x] Auto-delete zero qty stockroom items after [1] days of moving to stockroom
|
I think this might be one of those situations. I looked up what Jennifer said
and saw all the items in the stockroom and it just happened that the only items
there were from that recent order. Nothing else was there. Ghost in the machine,
perhaps?

If they are in your stockroom with a quantity of 0, then you likely clicked the
Retain checkbox for those items. Retain means all sold lots go to your stockroom
automatically. It's useful for sellers who restock their items.

Thanks Jen. Would it be the one in Inventory screen or add parts screen that
would cause it? I honestly do not recall selecting it but I want to make sure
it's not checked going forward.

Having said that - what lengths do you go to with your descriptions, if any?
Is it better to have a bit of copy in the terms suggesting the buyers request
pics before buying or do you add description per part/lot? I know there's
no way to please everyone, but I really try to make sure I have nothing but above-average
parts when it comes to used. I would love to hear if you have had to deal with
instances like this and/or what measures you take to avoid it.

When listing used minifigs, any condition issues should be described and detailed.
Of course there will be someone who still finds something wrong, but the idea
is to avoid a situation where a buyer is surprised and disappointed.
Some sellers just have generic descriptions such as "Used minifigs may have scratches"
or they refer buyers to their shop terms. I don't think those are helpful.
When listing, put the information about condition in the item listing description,
so that buyers can see it right away. Even if you include your own picture, include
a written description as well.
"Like New" or "As New" are fairly meaningless descriptions in Bricklink. Or they
might even confuse buyers(Is it "New"? or "Used"?. I think phrases such as "mint"
or "pretty good" aren't much better, as those are very subjective, and it
seems every seller has his own standard. I believe it is better to give an actual
description, i.e., "Left arm has a crack" or "some paint missing from face".
I would certainly avoid a description like this one that always struck me as
ironic: "Face and torso are badly scratched and both arms are cracked. Other
than that, in mint condition."

minifigure parts are held to a higher standard then normal parts. when listing
minifigure parts its a good idea to mention any damage you see on the item
