but also including 918, 894, 891, 305 and more. All have been opened and built,
have instructions for all and a box in good condition for 928. I’m just looking
for some advice about selling them. What’s the best place to do it and what sort
of a price could I expect?

So are you seeking the sets or selling the sets?

Selling. Typo sorry

The BL price guide can give you an idea of how to price the sets. 928 for example:

https://www.bricklink.com/v2/catalog/catalogitem.page?S=928-1#T=P

You'll have to upgrade to a seller account first though. Since you already
have positive feedback, it won't take as long to upgrade as a brand new member.

3625 Minifigure, Hair Female Pigtails

and I believe it to be fake. It does not have LEGO or copyright symbol. If
I found it in a lot it would go in the fake bin but before I ask for a refund
from the seller I would like opinions.

If you would put that part in the fake bin, then you shouldn't be sorting
LEGO.

Normally I would brush this off but... why is it that I shouldn't be sorting
LEGO exactly?

Because I came to the forum to ask for people's help on a piece that does
not have the LEGO stamp or the copyright symbol? I can show you many examples
of fake hair/headgear that only have a number and have a different looking head
stud area.

With the influx of fake parts it seems better to be overly cautious rather than
not.

Maybe you shouldn't be replying to help threads...

1001bricks is right—MANY LEGO parts don't have the LEGO logo. Imagine if
that 3625 was a white one, and you had thrown out. Those things are rare! The
forum is replete with people asking if a part is fake because there's no
LEGO logo, and the vast majority of the time it's a legit part. It baffles
me that someone with a feedback score as good as yours doesn't know how differentiate
clones from real LEGO more thoroughly.

I realize that I care about this more than other AFOLs, but to me when a LEGO
part is thrown away, it's a mini little tragedy. Like a tiny voice crying
out in terror and then suddenly silenced.

Nice to see so many 0 feedback user accounts well acquainted with the inner workings

pre-sale re-sale!

That's exactly what I was thinking.

I agree with edk and disagree with jennnifer. That inverted slope definitely
IS LEGO, and as edk said, it's an older one. It's normal for that particular
inverted slope to have those hollow studs with the thicker walls if it's
from 40+ years ago.

this nonsense decision!

There is absolutely ZERO change that masks used versus new parts here.

Are the links a problem though? How many people see an obvious spam message with
loads of links in and think it would be a good idea to follow them?

To me, the issue is that the spam exists, not that there are clickable links
in the spam. Stopping any clickable links doesn't solve the spam issue.

Luckily, enough people report them and forum moderators act quickly once they
are reported reported and then the spam disappears if you have the hide cancelled
posts setting selected.

My thought was that if a new user tries to post a message with a URL, BL would
give the user an error (URLs/links not allowed in messages from new members,
or something like that,) and the message would not go through at all. If a spammer
found that he could not post a message with a link, he would give up very soon
(hopefully,) and leave.

You're entirely right about BL members not being dumb enough to click on
obviously bogus links (which makes me wonder why the spammers go to the trouble
of posting them anyway.) I also agree with you that the moderators do a good
job of cancelling the spam posts.

Those are all legitimate parts. I just don't get the hyper paranoia buyers
have nowadays about counterfeit parts. The forum is replete with posts about
parts that people think might be fake because they don't match 100% with
the parts they have from the past few years. As time goes on LEGO makes new
molds and makes tiny changes on most iterations of parts. I suppose the Chinese
clones are to blame. Sigh...
