The documentation says it should include all extras etc. […]
|
Minifigures should always be complete. That means you should get the parts listed
in their inventories.
Handheld accessories are not in the inventories.
Also, if you’re talking about collectible minifigures, there’s two different
entries in the catalogue:
1. the set entry, with all the parts (tile, handhelp accessories, Extra parts)
and instructions and polybag or box,
2. an entry for the minifigure that says “minifigure only” in its title.
If you order the minifigure only, you only get the minifigure.
So, to be able to answer your questions, we need to know what “extras” you’re
talking about, what you’ve ordered (catalogue ID) and what you received.
|
It was the Set for a CMF. So it should have included 4 extras per. With 10
CMFs, thats 40 missing parts. A total of about $5 in value.
|
In your original post you said that it was an "order for several minifigures,"
but just now you said that it was "the Set for a CMF." Which did you
order, minifigs or sets? That would definitely make a difference in this case.
I realize that a packaged collectible minifig is a set, but they are often referred
to as just "minifigs" since that's mostly what the set is. However,
here on Bricklink there's a distinction. For example,
is a set, but
is a minifig.

When you say "split payment," do you mean where you pay part from your
PayPal balance and part from a bank account? I have done that on Bricklink within
the past 6-ish months.

| Hello,
The Bricklink administration removed one of my selling listings. The reason was
that the parts were listed in a non existent color.
The part was actually a genuine lego part, listed in the correct color. Only
was it never released in an official set, so it does not show up in the color
guide in any set. Is it no longer allowed to list such parts? As far as i know
this type of parts could be obtained in a legal way from a pick a brick wall.
|
Please tell us which part it was that was removed. It could have been a mistake,
but it could have also been an unwritten rule that we have had to enforce because
of the problem of fake parts. Unfortunately we do not have a log of deletions.
|
I have an idea. If you're going to enforce a rule, then write that rule
into the Bricklink Rules and Policies. That way people will actually know
what the rules are. Enforcing unwritten rules will just create chaos and resentment.

2X6 plates, and they're spread out over 20 lots, I'm not shopping that
store.
|
Doesn’t that filter (pic) work for those stores?
|
Yes, but let's say I want to buy 50 of something, and a store I'm shopping
has a lot of 40. I will buy the 40, and then I can change the 50 to 10 in my
Wanted List. However, if another store also has 40, but they're in 20 lots
of 2 each, I won't buy from that shop. I would get the same amount, and
let's hypothetically say that the parts were even the same price as the other
store, but going through so many duplicate lots is tedious and annoying.
Additionally, if a store has a large amount of duplicate lots, it really makes
me think that that seller is quite disorganized; disorganized enough that he
could make other errors such as being short on some of the parts in an order.

The assumption is bricklink is the best possible sales interface and inventory
management system. I couldn't imagine amazon running a successful business
using this inventory system. How many inventory locations does Amazon have for
one item. The difference is Amazon has an independent inventory for stock room,
reciept of goods, shipping, order processing.
|
Okaaay... I wasn't comparing Bricklink to Amazon. I certainly don't
claim that Bricklink's inventory management system is the best possible,
but it does let sellers eliminate duplicate lots and even warns a seller when
creating a new duplicate lot.

Any logged in member can submit a change request, unless the site has a glitch

Big maybe on that. I thought everything came out of Illinois. Mos Eisley's
were 9+ pounds and came with the GWPs in the same box. The Orient Expresses
were 7+ and came in the "ready to ship" boxes that are custom sized,
but the the GWPs came separate. Where else do they ship from in the US?

I have received Shop At Home orders from Kentucky.
