I have no direct experience with packages from Russia, but I will say that DHL
*seems* to use more local carriers to complete hops....and there *seems* to be
blackout periods in the tracking. I've seen this same thing for packages
I bought directly from Lego (all pick-a-brick orders) that were shipped DHL from
Europe to the USA. One of my pick-a-brick orders, for some reason, ended up on
a freighter...and got handed off to USPS. It made it here...weeks behind schedule.

Have you called DHL? Their website isn't super useful. Their reps seem to
know what they are doing.

My Moscow order is a little overdue (6 weeks), but more disturbing is the package
location and scans. Tracking shows my package (42055 set) at the Russian/German
border since 4/1/21 and, obviously no scans.
1) Anyone have experience with our brothers in Russia?
2) Does anyone know if tracking numbers change at the border?
3) Is DHL really pissed at Russia, and delaying their shipping.
4) Never order from Russia.

I'm trying to check out from a store that reviews orders and sends invoice.
When I hit the paypal button I get a popup with:

"One or more items have changes (e.g. new price, sale amount, etc.) that affect
your order total. Please review changes and proceed to checkout again!"

But, I can't get back to checkout? And not sure what to review?

Any thoughts? Thanks for any help at all

Hopefully you also have notified local police and the USPS. Porch Pirates unfortunately
have learned that there's a lot of Ring doorbells out there, and cameras....if
your packages are going missing from a mailbox, my bet is your neighbors also
are missing / losing stuff, and maybe they have camera footage or filed complaints
as well.

I guess you can't just reship a new order, and maybe give the buyer a courtesy
coupon or something, and hope down the line some thief is caught with a bunch
of Legos?

What's somewhat puzzling to me is taking a package from a porch is pretty
much everywhere petty theft, but taking something out of a mailbox is a federal
level offense

Imagine 2 guys in federal prison. One says "how much time are you doing?" answer:
"10 years". first guy "so am I...I assaulted a federal agent...what did you do?"
other guy: "stole some Legos from a mailbox"

I have discovered that 7 outgoing orders have possibly been stolen from my residential
mailbox. I have security, but the camera doesn't cover the mailbox area.
One customer in-particular is being very belligerent about not receiving his
order (over 400 pieces!).

I will have taken a big hit to my bottom line by the theft of those 7 orders,
and through no fault of my own, should I have to be the brunt of negative feedback?
He's already filing for a refund through PayPal, which is his right. What
are my options in this case?

I'm certainly not doing anymore business through my residential mailbox!!
I'll drive out of my way to go to the PO from now on!

Sorry for a basic question, but I'm starting to use the Wanted List" for
a couple of projects.

Is there any way as a "buyer", I can upload or input my entire extra parts inventory,
and that autofills into the wanted lists?

Or just fill out a form of what I already have?

If there is a way, I'm not finding it

I'm actually shocked that the feedback ratio is so high on Bricklink...that
indicates the buyers are more active/sensitive to "relationships/service" and
less sensitive to "transactions/product"....what I mean by that is purely transactional
buyers rarely leave feedback. In Amazon's case, and Ebay's case, it is
less than 10%.

That being said, based on Bricklink's "feedback system", you need about 9
"atta boy!" to make up for one "uh oh" and my bet is most Bricklink buyers probably
look at that feedback rating as they buy, given they seem more relationial.

Unfortunately, those buyers with a bad experience (whether the sellers fault
or not) are more likely to leave feedback, whether they are transactional or
relationship oriented.

There's plenty of academic research out there that indicates "couponing"
and "frequent buyer programs" aren't very effective. If the buyer is relationship
oriented, he/she is buying again anyway, and if transactional, he/she is hopping
around to start with. I saw a case study on Starbucks that basically said the
results of the "punch the card and get your 10th free" was a useless giveaway
as the person that had bought 9 times before was going to buy on the 10th time
anyway.

I think a better metric for evaluating "happiness" is repeat buys.

In Feedback, MrPetovan writes:
I have received 16 orders so far, and got 9 feedbacks out of them. Is this ratio
feedback/orders close to 50% usual? I'm feeling like I don't do enough
to get feedback, but maybe I already do and it just is how it is?

What's your ratio if you don't mind indirectly sharing the number of
orders you received?

I don't have any inside knowledge of Lego operations, but NASA actually has
a page on their site discussing the relationship between NASA and Lego. The Lunar
Lander and Saturn V are both in production, and I think those go back 4 years
for the Saturn V, and 2 years for the Lander, both of which still seem in production.

The new Discovery Shuttle is one of the best kits I have built.

Lego probably doesn't have as much "royalty/licensing" overhead for NASA
items as they would with Marvel/DC/Potter/Star Wars, so I'd say you have
some time

*just my guess*

I’m not a fan of the May GWP, and wanted to wait a months. Too risky? I know
it’s not the typical blockbuster set, but I’d be sad not to get it. On the other
hand, he’s recently discovered Hot Wheels, so I don’t want to have too many sets
in hand.
