|
| The pictures and descriptions for parts 33299 and 61408 are reversed in the catalog.
I know this because I have some parts with part# 30299 stamped on them - these
parts have the extra elongated hole next to the pin.
I also have parts with NO elongated hole next to the pin - none of them have
part numbers (but since they're different from the p/n 33299's that have
a part# on them, I have to assume that they are p/n 61408.)
I turned a p/n 61408 over and discovered an elongated "hole" that doesn't
go through and through on the reverse side (i.e. the side opposite of where the
pin sticks out).
So...
Part# 33299 has an open elongated hole next to the pin that goes all the way
through.
Part# 61408 has a blind elongated hole that you can only see from the non-pin
side.
I think my description is a bit confusing, but I can't think of how to clarify.
Feel free to ask questions. I'd really like to get this corrected in the
catalog!!

| Coule someone please explain the difference between these 2 parts? The descriptions'
difference is 'grid small pattern' vs 'grid large pattern'. I
have 3 tiles with these patterns in my possession, and I have no idea which one(s)
they are! The pictures in the Bricklink catalog look pretty much the same to
me. What am I missing? Thanks in advance for your response!

| Thanks for the suggestion, but my other shipping option is Automatic, which means
that the "Allow quote request" checkbox isn't available.
I actually resolved the problem this morning. I changed the 'Destination
& Base Rate' section to look exactly like it does in my 'USPS Ground
Advantage' shipping option (Weight band with a table of rates). Then I logged
in with my alternate Bricklink account, requested a quote, then logged in with
my Bricklink seller account and Eureka! I got a Quote Request!

| Thanks in advance for anyone who can help with this.
I've been a seller for a couple weeks now. I have 2 shipping options - USPS
Ground Advantage and Request for Quote. All orders up til now have been Ground
Advantage, and this option works great. Today I got my first Request for Quote
(RFQ). PROBLEM: when I go to My Store / Quotes, the RFQ is not listed. So I can't
give a quote.
I'm guessing that I haven't set up my RFQ shipping option correctly.
AND I'm guessing the problem is in the 'Destination & Base Rate"
section. [FYI, under Management / Store Inventory Options, I DO have "Accept
Quote Requests" checked.]
Here's how I have my 'Request for Quote' shipping option set up:
Name: Request for Quote
Enabled
Invoicing: Manual
Show estimated fees on:
Checkout page - not checked
Allow quote request - checked
Order Received page - not checked
Destination & Base Rate
Domestic
Flat rate
Rate chart
Domestic / USD 1.00
No Discounts
Insurance & Additional Charges (I created the same table that I have under USPS
Ground Advantage)
Tracking: for Domestic when shipping fee is over 1.00
No handling fees
Restrictions and Adjustments
Min buy 5.00
No package restriction
Package adjustment
Apply weight margin: 5%
Add base weight: 1 oz.

| I DID NOT see the 2nd picture. Thanks.
Dumb question. Since I only sell to U.S., can (and should) I choose 'International/Flat
rate' in that section?

new buyers to seeing only Instant Checkout options, since my 2nd account (that
I use for testing) is a "new buyer".

I have both, this is what the manual one (for intn'l) looks like.
Basically you set no rule, no limit, no rate.
|
You have to set them up separately, one for manual, one for automated.

| What's in the Destination & Base Rate section? (My automated shipping method
is a 'weight band' method.) Which type of method did you choose for your
'send me an invoice' method? - Courier API, Weight Band, Price Band,
Flat Rate? And it looks like I have to have at least one row for rates, otherwise
it gives me an error message saying I 'Please add at least one row to the
chart'.
I feel like an idiot that I can't figure this out! Thanks for your help!

| I'm setting up shipping methods for a new store. I sell only in the U.S.
I would like to have both Automated and Manual methods.
I have set up one (Group 1) (Instant Checkout) automated method for anything
up to 2 lbs. and have tested it (using a 2nd account), and it works.
I'd like to have a 2nd (manual) (alternate) shipping method (a "request
for quote", mainly for people who are buying manuals, so I can quote them
the USPS Media Mail rate.
I have been unsuccessful in getting the manual method to appear as a choice.
What am I doing wrong? Is it even possible to have instant checkout and "Request
for quote" as choices for the buyer?
Thanks in advance for any help!

| Thank you for the response. I'm confused. I thought sales tax depended on
the buyer's address - is that right? I should have clarified in my question
that I'm asking as a new seller, trying to set up my shipping and other policies.
So when I asked about collecting state sales tax & remitting the taxes collected
to the various states, I was asking as a seller. I'm unfamiliar with the
"Marketplace tax rules". Could you direct me to somewhere that explains
it? Thanks so much.

MS, MT, NH, ND, OR. Of these, 5 don't have a state sales tax (AL, DE, MT,
NH, OR). That leaves AL, MS, ND. Am I responsible for collecting & remitting
sales tax to these states, or (I hope) is the Bricklink-collects-tax-for-these-states

I am no tax expert, but...
BrickLink is responsible for all sales taxes in states that are enforcing the
Marketplace tax rules.
Since your business is located only in one state, you would only ever be responsible
for sales tax within that state. But since Maryland is part of the Marketplace,
you don't need to do anything.

| I have a "stretcher holder". Color is probably Light Gray. HOWEVER... It has
no logo and no part number on it.
Would someone be so kind as to look at one in their inventory, and tell me if
this is a genuine Lego part (and not a knock-off or other brand)? Unfortunately,
the Bricklink catalog pictures are not close-up enough for me to confirm whether
there should be ribbing near round "holders" and holes on one side of the cross
piece. Thanks in advance!

The container must have hollow studs because the instructions show tool handles inserted into the studs on the top of the container.
