Please make changes to the following inventory:

Set No: 8486 Name: Mack's Team Truck
*
8486-1 (Inv) Mack's Team Truck
341 Parts, 1 Minifigure, 2011
Sets: Cars: Cars 2

* Delete 2 Part 3245bpb23 Red Brick 1 x 2 x 2 with Inside Axle Holder with '95' Pattern (Sticker) - Set 8486 (Counterpart)

Comments from Submitter:
just built this set and the BL inventory says there are 2 x 3245cpb187 and 2 x 3245bpb23. These are actually mould variations and there are only 2 of one or the other, not both. The other two 1 x 2 x 2 red bricks do not have stickers.

This request will not be accepted.

It is correct that there are four red 1x2x2 bricks in the set and that two of
them use stickers. However, since the four red 1x2x2 bricks in the set can be
either of two variants (3245b or 3245c), then the two of them that use stickers
can be either of two variants (3245b or 3245c). The Counterparts area shows that
both variants of the bricks with stickers can be found in any given used set.

Cheers,
Randy

Wouldn't the two 3245cpb187 stickered bricks go in the alternate section?
Thats where they put the 4 3245c bricks. I accidently said "delete" but
meant "moved to alternate". Sorry for the confusion.

The piece is definitely Lego and the sticker seems Lego, too but not sure how
to tell for sure...

So close! I'm thinking it might be to new to have been inventoried or something.
This latest batch of Legos I bought from Goodwill had some surprisingly recent
sets. Thanks for helping!

OK it finally dawned on me that a clear sticker would look like it had a black
background if it was on a black piece. Sure enough the sticker itself has a clear
background, not black. Mystery solved. I am a little slow but thanks for helping
me get there.

Sorry about that my bad This is the first time I haven't been able to
figure a piece out even with the help of the bricklink community. Its on a clip
so hard to tell if its even actually Lego. Starting to think its a lepin (or
similar) knockoff. Thanks again for the help!

Thank you for the help, but notice that the sticker itself has the Arctic logo

Comments from Submitter:
I have a set that came with 2413. Not sure if it matters, but the box picture also shows 2413.

Box images are not a reliable source to change / add variants.
Did you buy this set sealed, do you still have the box and are you sure the parts
aren't mixed with parts from other sets?

Diana

No, it was not a sealed box when I purchased it. However, I got this set from
a garage sale with a bunch of other sets that were all meticulously inventoried
and packaged. It seems likely that this is the original inventory based on the
overall context, but I guess its not 100%. This is my first inventory request
so I apologize if change/update requests are supposed to be based only on sealed
boxes.

No need to apologize. Of course we would prefer evidence based on sealed sets,
but it's not always possible and not always needed. In this case however
I would like to see more proof that this set came with the old variant 2413.

This set was released May 29, 2013 and the new variant 14181 was added to the
catalog June 21, 2013 by the same submitter who completed the inventory of this
set June 26, 2013. The reason I would like to see more evidence, is because the
inventory is based on one of the first sets sold and it's not proven yet
when the switch exactly took place. All we know is that the new variant was approved
to be added to the catalog June 21, 2013. The last old variant 2413 white I saw
in a set 2000414 packed mid July 2012. Which means the switch took place somewhere
between mid July 2012 and June 21, 2013.

So unfortunately for this parts I prefer not to add the old variant to this set
based on a used set.

If you want to submit change requests for adding alternate items in the future,
please add the alternate item, with a match id and change the existing item by
giving it the same match id. This request shows to add the new variant that is
already in the inventory.

Thanks,
Diana

Thank you for the detailed explanation. The detective work that goes into this
is fascinating to me! Take care - Scott
