It's not a big set at all. Its set 6060 in ziploc bags. Not even with the
original box.

UPS just gave me the following breakdown:

GST - $32.84 (which I expected)
UPS Customs Brokerage Charges - $75.88
Total - $108.72

Can I refuse the set even if the seller states no refunds in his terms? I never
gave or received a negative or neutral review. I didn't want this to be the
first for either of us.

There's a huge difference between $33.35, which I was aware I could be asked
to pay, and $108.72. However you are not giving any advice on what my options
are. When I asked the seller about the cost of shipping he did not mention any
additional charges. If he he told me about all the additional charges I could
be expected to pay, I wouldn't have ordered from him.

I purchased it from the USA. The seller's terms say no refunds so I'm
not sure what to do now.

He did not tell me about any additional UPS fees when I inquired about shipping.
I'm aware that sometimes I get charged taxes when importing them to Canada
but in in about 80 different Bricklink orders, I have never encountered something
so excessive. Taxes would have been $30 at the most.

I recently purchased a set and asked the seller how much shipping would be. He
told me shipping would be $16.00. I agreed and made the purchase.

Today UPS knocked at my door and they want $108.72 to deliver. The set cost me
$186.00. I'm not paying an additional $108.72. What are my choices here?
Can I refuse to pay and get a refund on the set?

Not available in Canada. Nothing to be excited about. I'm just furious now.
Why even show us the pop up store if you're not going to let us order?

Thank you so much.

So simple and yet I never even noticed the All Filters button until now. I must
be blind.

Is there a way to hide the items I already have in my wanted list when shopping?

Every time I go into a store and click on wanted list, it displays every item,
even when I already have some of them. I always have to pay attention to the
quantities I have, but sometimes I still order parts I have and don't need,
by mistake.

I can't for the life of me find an option to hide them.

Thanks

Ok, thanks everyone for the feedback.

Guess I'll just take this as a lessons learned and avoid couriers from now
on.

Hi,

I bought from a store that was advertising 50% off shipping. Total shipping was
only $22. However they shipped over DHL (only option they had available) and
2 days later I was hit with DHL fees for an additional $27. Looking at the tracking,
the package hasn't even left it's country of origin and DHL is already
charging.

There is no way the seller doesn't know DHL is doing this. Looking at his
reviews, he does have a few complaints about shipping costs.

In over 60 Bricklink orders (most international), I've only had to pay import
fees once, for an expensive set.

Is this grounds for a neutral or bad review? I've never given any neutral
or bad reviews to anyone but in this case I feel like he's advertising 50%
off in bad faith. I'm not a seller so I don't really know how it works
from his end. This ended up being really expensive shipping ($47.00) for an order
of only $150.00 in parts.

Lately I've been seeing a lot of sellers with TBD instead of a shipping rate

Can I cancel an order after they send me the invoice if I think shipping is too
high? What is the correct procedure? I don't want to upset any sellers.

They won't be re-opened but instructions are made available online for everyone
when the sets gets shipped out. Your brother can always piece one together.

Brickwest Studios was also showing up on people's carts for the old price
and not the price listed on Bricklink. Many of us, including myself, didn't
buy it because the new price was so steep. Seems like a really big mess.
