So I just had an NSS filed against me. buyer said I sent the wrong part said
I did not ship part number 75038 there is no part with that number but its a
set. I did ship panels from that set 2 of them.
I have the Tracking number showing it shipped and was received.
this is my first NSS do I give bricklink the Tracking Number? I replied to NSS
in comments with the Tracking number and information pertaining to the order.
not sure if I need to do more?

Yes, the emails from seller, Paypal and Bricklink might be confusing. Not sure
what to suggest.

... I would like to see your childhood home built in LEGO. It sounds great.

In Suggestions, joshlobe writes:
I'm in my mid 40's and recently designed my childhood home on stud.io.
Super amazing software. As a cad/cam engineer and software developer myself,
it was a delight!

So, my house has over 8,000 pieces, which resulted in numerous orders through
BrickLink.
After placing over 20 orders, I receive multiple emails.
One from Bricklink for each purchase.
One from PayPal for each purchase.
Another from BrickLink once the order has shipped.
Another from PayPal once the order has shipped.

Each of these emails use various names, or email address, or store names.
It's confusing to identify which email goes with which order.
I often find myself scrolling through emails, looking for a store username, so
I can match it to my BrickLink orders page.

MY SUGGESTION:

Please add the sellers store name (perhaps under the username?) on the buyers
orders page.
This would seriously help with identifying which order goes with which email,
without having to physically click into each order, and find the store name.

Alternatively, if maintaining a single row on the orders page is preferred, could
we maybe add the store name as a "hover" when mousing over the store
username?

Thank you for the consideration.

My apologies.
I just saw the last bit about seeing the house.
That's really awesome that you asked!
I haven't shown anyone yet, so you're the first

I still need...
1) Extend the back yard.. we had over 4 acres, and I'd like to make the wooded
area.
2) Add a street along the front of the house. We played on that street all the
time.
3) Put the entire model on raised plates that can be joined together in sections.
4) Add the roof, chimney, etc.
5) put all the branches and leaves on the tree, but I wanted to leave that until
last. I have nightmares of the trees breaking apart while trying to redesign
the model onto baseplates.. lol.

That looks Awesome! Really nice job, be sure to post pictures of the completed
house.

Anyone else having a problem not being able to scroll down all the way on the
pop-up and see all the parts and pieces (last line).

I click on say the heads to choose, and I scroll down, but it's the last
line of heads or parts I cannot see. I try to scroll on the side to move the
whole page and the pop-up of the heads or parts disappears. I cant figure out
how to see the last line.

I'm wondering if anyone else received a similar email?

Yes, mine was from blservice@bricklink.com, warning about the phishing email.
Reminding to be careful.

Same over here. Plus (tho I may be mistaken) in general simply opening an email
dosnt expose you to danger but only if you open a link or download a file that
does so it’s best to open the email and check the sender and if it’s from “@bricklink.com”
exactly with no weird spelling or ending or anything then it’s real

Correct, just reading the email will not cause harm the opening of links in an
email is what will open a person up to harmful malware, Trojans, viruses and
such.

Emails can be blocked from the sender and the ISP they are sending from by going
to your email online and choosing to block them. It will not block your legitimate
Bricklink emails because you are blocking the spam ones only.

I just block those pesky spam emails and move on with my life. Most of us have
been with Bricklink long enough that we can see fake emails from good ones and
if questions then ask and be sure to use the 2 part Authentication.

Also if you feel you have been compromised then change your password immediately!

to break/amputate other sets. Pity ... live and learn as they say. Sometimes
you gotta learn to take a loss as there is no 'clear' solution in sight.

I am a bit confused, is this a used set, and you did not check to make sure that
it was complete before you listed it? Did you know it was complete, and the buyer
is saying it is not?
seems very fishy that the buyer is wanting replacement parts that are the expensive
ones that sends up red flags.

I would offer a refund as the other member suggested, try that first then if
not get the parts from bricklink dont break up a bunch of sets that will cost
you more in the long run.

Sliding window where *all* feeeback older than the window falls off. Ebay does
this. Also, neutral feedbacks dinging the feedback percentage also needs to be
done away with. A neutral shouldn't count for or against a store's feedback
percentage.

Totally agree with this! ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

  Hey

I would like to hear some opinions or advice how other sellers handle those situations:

As i sell many used minifigs as well, i check them before shipping even if they
were stored nicely. I make sure there are no cracks and no marks that i did not
had disclosed before adding it to the store. Sometimes of course you find something
or there is a new crack happening after long storage. Then i just refund before
shipping or check if i have that part/fig as well as dublicate somewhere.

But i had now twice the situation, that i checked the minifig i shipped before
very well (cracks, marks, scratches etc.) and shipped them and then got a complaint
that the "there was a crack".

I know its not true. But i can't proof it. So usually i make a replacement
or full refund, because its not worth the trouble. But its always only happening
on minifigs that are in the higher price range.

Sometimes i think someone just had a crack in his collection, ordered from me,
then repalced his cracked part and send his broken part back to me.

Anyone had such experience/thoughts and how you deal with them?

If it is a high priced figure I will take pictures of it all sides and up and
down. I even offer to send the pictures to the buyer so that they know I have
taken pictures and the figure I send will be the one received.

I have a fairly large collection, spanning over 20 years, and stored/sorted in
200+ boxes, including Technic, City, Ninjago, Bionicle, Friends, and many many
more. These include over 300 minifigs, and many unique/rare parts/sets (eg. Scorpion
Pyramid, Village Market, ...). I have little time to sort through and rebuild
all the sets. I'm looking for input as to what is the best way to sell all
at once. My initial investment was over $50k.

1. Any thoughts on how to liquidate everything ASAP?
2. Would selling everything by the pound on eBay be an option? - Not very attractive
I'm sure.

Thoughts are appreciated.

Spend hours and hours sorting the bricks in to each piece and color, check pricing
on Bricklink, then list them part by part on Bricklink. Wait for others on Bricklink
to purchase orders slowly, pack them up, send them out, wait for acknowledgement
that they arrived and get "Some" feedback and return said feedback and
then do it all over again.

I mean, why should we all have the fun!

  Hello,

I spent £25 on an order which is a fair bit of money to me, and never received
the item or any communication from the seller on this website or given email
address. I was advised on here to open a case with PayPal as they will handle
everything, but they closed the case in favour of the seller.

Again no communication from the seller and PayPal won't give me any information,
their response was for me to go small claims court in my county??? PayPal won't
let me reopen the case.

Has anyone else encountered this? My understanding is PayPal would be useful
and help in these scenarios, but this just totally now feels like I have been
scammed on bricklink despite using the recommended channels and methods.

Anyone have advice for me here?

Like infinibrix said, it probably went to the wrong address and was accepted.
Unfortunately most people will not go out of their way to contact the Post Office
or try and find the right person, they just throw the package in a corner and
ignore it. You will have to track it down through the post office to find where
it actually landed.

One good suggestion is to learn to be a good buyer first. Buy some small orders,
see how the buying process works, get some feedback then work your way up to
selling.

Always take small steps and learn how things work, it will save you having problems
and frustration.

Perhaps the better way to have handled this is to report suspicious activity

Based on your definition of fishy I might have to be careful when I open my store

Someone might think a new store with 200 sets, 100k parts, and 500 Instructions

Where do you buy such sets or has this seller accumulated those sets privately

Seems to me, if you want those questions answered, you could just email them
directly. They might have been buying sets for some time now, and they had a
lot of bills come up, maybe they are in divorce proceedings and their mate is
wanting these sets out of the house, etc.....
You would not find this out by asking other here, only by asking the seller directly.

Email them and find out before calling them out.

I do know sellers who buy low and sell high. This seems to labour intensive to

But is this a thing, sellers vetting customers?
If a seller refuses an order simpley because the buyer happens to have a store

Thoughts anyone.....

Does not make any sense at all??? If you are buying the Lego at the price they
have them listed then once purchase you can do whatever you want with them! spread
