Dear catalog admins,

part 30388pb015 seems to have extra line breaks at the end of the part name,
which appear in the tab delimited download and break the formatting.

My guess may be wrong but the Parts.txt export file currently looks like the
attached image.

I tried using the Change Item form but the name of the part is too long and won't
fit in the name field.

If you could have a look at this, it would be appreciated.

Regards,
Antonios

Bricklink ought to be keeping a record of how frequently sellers are refunding
a buyer for lost package claims?

Some other places *cough cough* do, allong with a couple of other stats, and
it's visible right there on the order page. If I understand correctly, the
count is maintained automatically when a refund for the order is issued.

It would indeed be a useful statistic to have, not for anything drastic like
stop-listing people but just as a guide on whether to send an order tracked or
not.

For a problem like this, I would first of all start with "standard" coordinate
system with origin at the centre of the circle and 0 degrees are on the positive
side of the x axis and increase counter-clockwise.

I assume that you have (or can calculate) the x,y coordinates of the plotted
point.

The general solution for n number of sectors would require you to calculate the
vector angle from the origin to the plotted point and then decide which 360/n
sector it resides on. One of the first google results here:

https://stackoverflow.com/questions/46387747/find-angle-of-point-on-circle

For your case though, the 8-section circle makes it much simpler. In the first
quarter (positive x and y), x y means your point is below the diagonal, x
y means your point is above the diagonal.

The same method can be applied to the other 3 quarters. First decide which quarter
you are in (positive or negative x & y) and then if you are above or below the
diagonal |x| |y|.

Good luck!

I should have read his feedback as he's got a lot of negative for this sort
of reason

Mixing even the 11 complete ones is already unacceptable. I guess you are talking
about collectable minifigs but there is still no lower limit to the size of sets
a seller should ship mixed.

Unpacking and mixing in sealed sets is just mind boggling.

In my opinion, you should get your money back (or settle on whatever price you
would consider reasonable for what you received), otherwise I would start an
NSS. What you received is not what was advertised. Sellers like this should be
weeded out.

Parts: Technic, Connector {Dark Bluish Gray}
but then with a axle hole instead of a pin hole. Or another solution that gives
me the possibility to connect a central axle to two connectors 90 degrees rotated.

Parts: Technic, Connector

Very interesting, thanks for the example! I'm trying to make telegraph poles
with horizontal bars connected to the pole on which I can build the lines...
Like this (but this has the wrong part with pin hole so won't be stable).

it sounds like you're looking for the double-sided version of one of these:

Part No: 6553 Name: Technic, Axle 2L with Reverser Handle Axle Connector
*
6553 Technic, Axle 2L with Reverser Handle Axle Connector
Parts: Technic, Axle {Black}
or

Part No: 32039 Name: Technic, Axle Connector with Axle Hole
*
32039 Technic, Axle Connector with Axle Hole
Parts: Technic, Connector {Black}

How about this one?

Part No: 53586 Name: Technic, Axle and Pin Connector Perpendicular with Extension
*
53586 Technic, Axle and Pin Connector Perpendicular with Extension
Parts: Technic, Connector {Black}
The horizontal would be off-center but the only "loose" part would be
the part poking out the top.

If before purchase, report and least favourite if you don't trust them. If
after purchase, complain direct, then NSS and PayPal complaint, then feedback.

This! All the right processes are already in place. If buyers would follow the
process, in time, the problem would solve itself. Such sellers would get NSS'd
out of BL or it would become uneconomical for them to try and scam people.

At some point they were marked for deletion from the catalogue because of reproductions
being sold and the a lot of the current listings mention stretched, cracked,

I would expect modern rubber bands to last quite a bit longer than those old
ones because they seem to be made of something silicone like, but time will tell

Starting with the basics, if you don't have the correct rubber bands, the
sets must be listed as incomplete since not all the items in the inventory are
present.

For the slightly more complicated part, according to the rules, you are not allowed
to sell non-lego items so you can not sell the generic rubber bands by themselves.
What I'm not sure about is whether it's OK to include generic rubber
bands with an incomplete set so that the buyer can actually play with the set
and doesn't have to look for a rubber band - genuine or otherwise - themselves.

My only concern are the stickers... How would I go about getting a decent reproduction

It sounds like a fun project but besides the stickers I would check how well
modern yellow blends together with 80's yellow since you can't get modern

Hi all,

I'm trying to send an order to the UK without a business account at PostNL.
On the "Douane" page I can see a "Btw-nummer" field but in none of the steps
can I see an "EORI" field.

Does the EORI go in the BTW field or is the form incomplete?

Customer services couldn't tell me. They never heard of EORI before and suggested
I take it to a PostNL point...

Thanks,
Ant

What shade of grey are the 3 middle clips?

For comparison, the ones on the left are light grey, the ones on the right are
light bluish grey and below are dark grey and dark bluish grey.

thanks in advance.

But only $230, is it too good to be true?

He lives near me so we can meet up, but I have never bought a big or expensive
set from an unreliable source. We have agreed that I will open up the box and
check everything, is there any other advice?

I wouldn't say it's too good to be true and you've already agreed
the most important part (check the contents). €230 is not far off the €300ish
prices here and if the box is in a bad shape, the seller knows they can't
get that.

Of the top of my head, that set doesn't include any valuable minifigs worth
the effort to open, re-seal and try to pass as new. If all the numbered bags,
the plates and the rails are there, I wouldn't worry.

As preparation, you can look up online how many bags of each number and how many
unnumbered ones (rails, big plates etc) you should expect. Some review video
must have all that information

Good luck!

In the US hundreds of people meet their untimely fate everyday due to
vehicles. Are you also suggesting that they stop modeling cars and trucks? You
mention historical weapons, I can't even imagine the carnage that was dealt
throughout history by swords, axes, stones, etc.. Thinking about castle sets
here... If we don't learn from our history we are bound to repeat it. I feel
that banning or hiding things do the human race no good.

In my opinion there is nothing wrong with responsible gun ownership, just like
there is nothing wrong with responsible drivers. Look at Switzerland for example.
1 gun per 4 people compared to 1.2 per person in the US but they seem to be a
lot more responsible with them.

No matter what you do, there will always be some nutjob that decides to run their
car through a crowd and then there are accidents. You have to admit that if we
all rode bicycles instead of driving cars, the death toll on the roads would
be a lot lower. Unfortunately, we can't do without cars...

Gun control is something for the voters and their elected representatives to
decide. I am however fundamentally opposed to toy guns. They make kids accustomed
to them and don't teach them anything about the effects of their use. I don't
have kids but if I did, I would never buy them toy guns but if they asked, I
would buy them a slingshot/catapult in a heartbeat.

They would quickly learn that being in control of a projectile is a great responsibility.
You can break a window, hurt your friends, siblings, parents and pets and you
can break your other toys with it. Before you know it, they would have nothing
to aim it at, other than empty cans. At that point I would be more comfortable
with them handling guns in the right setting as well.

Even though it's ultimately down to the parents, because of all that and
because LEGO is above all a toy, I would argue that gun MOCs should at least
be in an adult section.

How far fetched is a headline like "Child holding gun made of LEGO shot by police"
in the current climate?

Judging by the feedback left and received, this is about an EU order, in which
case you don't have many options. The buyer is entitled to a full refund

is always with the seller, not with the buyer.

Beyond that, you can file a claim with DHL and hope for the best.
