| Lego have sent me an early Christmas present when my 910028-1 was delivered this
morning but the form wouldn't work to add dimensions ('internal server
error'.
Width = 19.0 cm
Length = 35.7 cm
Height = 5.7cm

| Again, can Bricklink please do something about the way the mininum average lot
value is explained to the buyer? I am getting many messages about it and find
myself explaining the same thing over and over. Please improve these descriptions
in the interface. Maybe by including an example, and by changing the terminology.
As is evident from many forum posts as well, many fresh buyers don't even
know what a "lot" is supposed to mean, let alone they will understand the concept
of minimum average lot value.
|
Minimum average lot value is a massive turn off for me as a buyer. I have disliked
two stores in the last week because of minimum average lot value meaning that
they will no longer turn up on my store filter, and as I usually buy small amounts
I can see me disliking any more that I come across. It's frustrating when
I've carefully built up my carts to find that I haven't met minimum average
and have to dislike the store and start over.

on earth their parcels are.
I've already gotten a neutral over this and I'm sure more are to come.
I know that allowing removals of these negs is a slippery slope so I wont go
there.
I'm suggesting that until the covid crisis is over that BL puts an extra
disclaimer on the feedback area explaining that postal delays are not our fault.
It doesn't even need to be permanent. Just something official. They aren't
reading our terms disclaimers.
Open to any input on this.

I agree with a temporary disclaimer. As a small seller I made a decision to
remove all overseas postage options as I'm nervous of the fragile overseas
postal systems. This may have taken some sales away from me, but with the onus
seeming to be on the seller rather than the postal carrier it seemed to be the
best option for my circumstances (and I'm not reliant on BL to feed my family!).

| Hi,
Looks like this parts:
is taller than described as it is 4 studs high instead of 3 unless there is a
way to measure height I don't know.
Fortunately, there is no 3 studs high slope and I believe any MOCers using the
part just call it by its name and there would be no issue when building.
Strangely, part and all its variants looks like to be also 4 studs
high and not 3 (last pic clearly shows the same aspect ratio as 4460).
By the way 3684 is not marked for deletion yet.
Where was the issue ? "It's not you it's us" or just me ?
Thanks.

I used to think this until I found Tom Alphin's lego ruler and sorting tool:
http://tomalphin.com/2014/02/lego-ruler-and-sorting-tool.html
One stud is 8mm wide but a plate is 3.2mm high, therefore the size of a 1x1 brick
is 8mm x 8mm x 9.8mm. I have Tom's guide printed and laminated and reckon
that it has saved me a load of time while sorting!

Unfortunately it's not that simple. People put instructions and .io files
online so that you can copy their creations and there is a button in Stud.io
which allows you to upload all of the pieces you want to BrickLink which then
allows you to buy them.
I prefer to build the model in Stud.io from the instructions rather than downloading
as this allows me to make changes, e.g. one model called for six sand green pieces
which were around £8 apiece in the UK. I replaced them with green pieces which
were nearer 5p each. I was also warned about the cost of dark orange pieces for
the Shuttle so have made mine in white, meaning that the full set came to around
the same cost as the Saturn V.
If you're after a companion piece to the Saturn V, a small model to start
with is the Apollo-Soyuz 'handshake in space' which is part of the Soyuz
1:110 on Lego Ideas. https://ideas.lego.com/projects/95bdcce7-f7e9-463d-a223-48637b704258/updates
It uses elements of the Saturn V and, if you decide you want to keep it, you
can always buy the extra pieces.

| Hi, few hours ago I have just built my first lego set LEGO Ideas 21309 NASA Apollo
Saturn V it was an amazing experience. I would like to build next, please can
you suggest me some good lego set? Number of pcs 1500 and more and I would like
space theme but When I was searching I did not found anything space themed like
NASA Apollo Saturn. Im not big fan of star wars series but maybe it would be
okay too. Thank you for every suggestion.

I was in a similar place in January after receiving the Apollo Saturn V as a
gift, and my collection now includes a Soyuz, Space Shuttle, Lunar Rover and
a few other models. I can think of three places to start if you're a space
fan:
There's an open Facebook group dedicated to Saturn V scale (1:110) models:
https://m.facebook.com/groups/saturnvmods/374219386316652/
The Lego Ideas website has a few space models at 1:110 scale. Link below is to
the Soyuz:
https://ideas.lego.com/projects/95bdcce7-f7e9-463d-a223-48637b704258
There are loads of MOCs on BrickLink - search for 1:110 or Saturn V and they
should pop up.
Best of luck!

I've found what looks like a 7049b but with a white rather than red interior
and 'Pat Pend' on the bottom. It's from a box of my own childhood
Lego so it's definitely from the early 80's - should I list this as a
7049b or is there a better description?
Grateful for some advice...

There are a few variations of the interior colors.
BrickLink does not separate those variations, so 7049b is correct.
|
Thank you - 7049b it is!
