From General of the Resistance, Princess in exile, Lover to Han, Sister to Luke,
Mother to a dark son (Kylo Ren) and Hero of the Galaxy... Carrie Fisher made
the complex character work on-screen.

Always liked her as an actress. We’re about the same age and grew up not all
that far from one another. Although our neighborhoods and lives growing up could
not have been more divergent. Her in the privileged environment that fame and
fortune within the Hollywood Elite offers, and me dirt poor in the barrios of
East LA. Ironically, despite her privilege she might’ve had an "unsupervised"
childhood too.

Even looking back on the whole have-and-have-not contrasts, don't think I
would've swap childhoods with her if I could. I enjoyed my childhood, hard
knocks come in all forms

I understand the “Slave outfit scene” is popular, especially with young men,
who can blame them. But I enjoyed her Hoth Outfit scenes more. I mean who can
resist those buns! ~Talking about the hair, guys

~ConstrucToys

I actually preferred the ewok village scenes where she had her long, flowing
hair down.

Lets get an activist foundation to do a survey. Gee, i wonder how that will turn
out.

There is truth to the old adage "Use it or lose it." It goes for the mind and

well they do have to count all those parts but they can also count on not getting
much business with that surcharge.

In Buying, aboyer writes:
Saw this just now in a store's terms:

For orders with a total quantity 10 parts or less there is NO FEE charged.

For orders with a total quantity 11 to 49 parts there is a $5.00 Surcharge

For orders with a total quantity 50 to 99 parts there is a $10.00 Surcharge.

For orders with a total quantity of 100 to 199 parts or more there is a $20.00 Surcharge

For orders with a total quantity of 200 parts or more there is a $40.00 Surcharge

FORTY DOLLAR surcharge for 200 parts. (Not lots, parts.)

Wow.

Of course they do. I'm entitled and they have to listen to me. I'm the
customer. i'm always right.

Ugh, here we go again. It's the rules. Do we really expect that they are
just going to change it for every round. It was modified from 5 - 1, they have
no reason to increase it again.

3 would be the perfect amount, 1 to build. 1 to keep sealed for collection and
one to gift to someone.

Give the correct number of Star Wars Speeder Bodies contained within the vase
shown below...

Contest rules are few:

~ First to correctly answer, wins!
~ Entry must be made as a reply to this contest post.
~ One post per day per member, otherwise no limit to number of entry-days.
~ No clues forthcoming (simpler, which should unfold quicker than previous contests)

We’ll cover the shipping cost (free shipping) domestically. Members outside of
the US (worldwide) are welcome to participate if you can offer a US shipping
address should you win. For non-US based members, any address within the US will
do: friends, family or fellow BL members, etc.

Your contest moderator is Johan, aka jbroman of Big Boy’s Bricks

I’ll give the winning answer to your moderator shortly, he’ll determine and announce
the winner. Any questions, Johan is your man: https://www.bricklink.com/feedback.asp?u=jbroman

Have fun with it!

In Announce, firestar246 writes:
  In Announce, calebfishn writes:

Profit is not only needed for the survival of an individual business, it is essential
for making any type of consumer good dependably available and affordable. Just
think about Soviet Russia in the 1970's where people lined up for hours hoping
to find a loaf of bread and a bottle of vodka on the grocery store shelves. Without
incentive, people are not going to work at making consumer goods available and
affordable. Without the ability to profit from their work, Bricklink sellers
would not be spending hours sourcing, sorting, and listing parts for the AFOL
community to purchase. The variety of parts and sets available on Bricklink would
be much less and pricing would be variable and unpredictable.

For those who think that profit is immoral when it comes from selling toys, let's
all be thankful that Lego doesn't think that way, or we'd have no lego
at all.

This is what I like about (most) of the sellers here: they actually have a head
on their shoulders and a brain in it. You hit the nail on the head.
