| Dear Bricklink Admins
I am worried and hope you can help me.
I have just visited the new Bricklink R3 Website and I have a few questions about
this future website.
Altough it looks visually very pleasing, I hvae two concerns / questions.
What happenes to the other 3 Categories Gears / Catalogs / Books? Are they going
to be
deleted? Will it be not anymore possible to buy old OFFICIAL Lego catalogs on
Bricklink?
Secondly, are you going to delete the Sub-Themes /Sub-Categories?
There is only castle and all castle sets cannot anymore be divided in sub-categories,
which was very handy in order to find certain sets?
Is this just an early version of the upcoming website or are these the final
changes?
I really hope Bricklink won't lose that much of information, possibilities
and content!
With the kindest regards
Barthon

| Forgive if this suggestion has already been made. (I've not had much success
using the search function on this site, to see if it has already been suggested.)
It looks like it is a fairly recent feature to be able to put a checkbox on multiple
wanted lists on the left side at https://www.bricklink.com/v2/wanted/buy.page
.
I use some of my wanted lists as a sort of recipe of submodules I build. It
would be good if the checkbox could be augmented to be a count or a multiplier.
Imagine looking at a recipe and wanting to double it or triple it. Instead of
just searching the stores for a combination of List A and B and C, could I search
the stores for a combination of 2 copies of list A and 3 copies of list B and
1 of list C, etc.?

| Hello, I love Bricklink, but I'd love to be able to search for a minifigure
and see them in chronological order by release date, or the Bricklink Item
Number. For example, when searching for "Nya" or "Lloyd", and then ordering by
Bricklink Number, it would look like:
njo012
njo054
njo126
njo378
etc. I hope you can add this feature! Thanks for the response.

| The Problem:
It currently takes me hours to "plan" my trip to the PAB wall. First, it takes
me a while to research what's on my local wall (which for me is a 6 hour
drive to Auckland), and then it takes some considerable time to match up my Wanted
Lists to what's on the wall. Wouldn't it be great if I can just "hit
a button" and check what's on my local PAB wall that I want? Is it worth
popping into the LEGO store this trip? Wouldn't it be even better if I could
get an email notification that my local PAB has parts I'm interested in?
I could see this feature, which would be a small project in and of itself (in
Scrum speak, this would be the Epic), rolling out in these kinds of steps:
1. Provide a way to submit the local of a PAB for approval to list. (I'm
not sure if all PAB's are LEGO owned or just licensed)
2. Provide a way for either PAB store staff, or community members, to be added
as gardeners of the wall to be able to keep them up to date.
3. The PAB wall is just a register of a part, a colour, a notional quantity(In
Stock|Running Low|Out of Stock), and the date the wall manifest was last updated.
4. When viewing the PAB wall, also show the number of that parts that is on my
wanted list where need qty
5. Add an option to email me when a new item on my wanted list gets listed.
I think this would be a fantastic addition and generate a lot of interest amongst
LUGs as well as generating more interest in BrickLink in general (rather than
it happening off-property on Facebook or other Social Media sites).
I've already written most of the code for this myself (Node.js, SQLite) but
it's extremely cumbersome to keep my wanted lists up to date (would love
a BrickLink API for that). The software itself is not particularly hard to write.
I would be more than happy to code this feature for BrickLink if such a think
was even possible (if so, reach out to me at https://www.linkedin.com/in/andreweddie/).
Thanks in advance for your thoughtful consideration.

| This is probably more of an end user thing, rather than something that’s going
to help anyone sell anything, but I’ve always thought it would be handy if I
could create a collection of the sets I own. Then being able to ask things like:
whether I have have a particular part in my current sets, which of my sets does
this piece come from, etc.
I’ve had a search through past suggestions and can’t find anything quite like
this, but can’t imagine this hasn’t been thought of before. Or maybe it’s yet
another feature that’s buried in the interface that I haven’t found!

|
| I imagine I'm not the only one to be aware of this grammar mistake. When
searching a store's inventory, there's a drop-down menu that says "All
Filters." Once it's been expanded, it can be minimized by clicking "Less
Filters."
Properly, in English grammar, when there is a countable noun, we do not use the
quantitative adjective "less". That's flat-out wrong. We must say "fewer".
We can say "less milk," but not "less cookies." We must say "fewer cookies."
So here, English grammar demands that we say "Fewer Filters."
I do think that correcting this error will enhance the site's professionalism.

|
| Can it be considered to change the date/time stamp placed on orders & messages,
etc. from the system time (US EST) to the users local time, as this would allow
accurate information to be captured for accounting, tax & auditing purposes.
I know that BrickOwl & other platforms already do this.
As an example, I physically receive an order at 3am (BST) on 23rd May in the
UK, but the order itself shows and records that the order was received on 22nd
May at 10pm (EST), some 5 hours behind reality.
Note, the date & time format is not an issue.
Thanks.

| It took me sometime to figure out that bb1153pb01 is now 67156pb01. We had trouble
in the past for a few other parts. Like looking for 28895 after it was sold,
and found in the drawer marked sailbb66.
When I opened my store inventory saved early last month, I got message that "39
outdated item or color references in this file have been updated according to
the Bricklink catalog". So there are a lot other items I don't know yet.
It would be helpful if search of the old item # returns the item with new number.
Thank you.

|
| Today I ran a Wanted List Buy Auto-Select search, and I was surprised to see
that it picked a store I know has stoplisted me. It even created the cart, but
then I wouldn't have been able to pay for it because they put me on their
stoplist.
Please exclude from the list of available stores for a given set of parts the
ones that stoplisted the user.
The workaround is to add these stores to the Disliked stores for them to be excluded
with the corresponding option, but in this case I knew in advance I was stoplisted,
which isn't always the case.

| Just adding this suggestion for members to vote on.
I have been told in the past that BrickLink does not like to inundate users with
excess emails so they may be hesitant to overly communicate with members, sellers
specifically with this suggestion. I believe this is false and users would prefer
more communication.
My suggestion is that BrickLink management will message sellers via email directly
prior to any scheduled downtime. If estimates for down time are extended, further
communications should be sent. If there are bugs that are discovered during post-install
testing that effect ecommerce, the API or inventories, it should be openly communicated.
Not a banner on the top of the screen and not a post that will be buried on the
forum. Actual communication that is intended to reach it's audience.
Thank you for your support.
