These two bricks are jujst hold together by a sticker. I thought this was against
policy here. I just noticed this when looking through new additions to the catalog.

  I think all battery boxes (and other parts that take batteries) as well as the
sets that contain them should have a statement "this part/set takes xyz batteries"
to let people know what batteries they need.

A few items contain such information in their "notes" but its inconsistent (ideally
it should cover all the items that need batteries and possibly be a specific
field rather than just notes)

I guess you refer to parts like

Part No: 40931c01 Name: Electric, Light & Sound Siren 2 x 6 x 1 with Trans-Dark Blue Lights and White Center
*
40931c01 Electric, Light & Sound Siren 2 x 6 x 1 with Trans-Dark Blue Lights and White Center
Parts: Electric, Light & Sound
or

Part No: 54930c02 Name: Electric, Light Brick 2 x 3 x 1 1/3 with Trans-Clear Top and Yellow LED Light (Glows Orange)
*
54930c02 Electric, Light Brick 2 x 3 x 1 1/3 with Trans-Clear Top and Yellow LED Light (Glows Orange)
Parts: Electric, Light & Sound
which actually include batteries in their respective
sets and have comments regarding what battery is needed.

Other sets like

Set No: 42043  Name: Mercedes-Benz Arocs 3245
*
42043-1 (Inv) Mercedes-Benz Arocs 3245
2793 Parts, 2015
Sets: Technic
don't include the needed 6x AA-Cells. I think
on most sets it's actually printed on the box if extra batteries are needed.
Nevertheless as additional information for customers this might me a helpful
information to be included on the item/set pages so they can gather needed batteries
for their purchases.

Hi Guys.

We have a Count Dooku Clonewars figure

Minifig No: sw0224 Name: Count Dooku - Large Eyes
*
sw0224 (Inv) Count Dooku - Large Eyes
Minifigures: Star Wars: Star Wars The Clone Wars
on a magnet from

Gear No: 852555 Name: Magnet Set, Minifigures SW (3) - Yoda, Count Dooku, Mace Windu - with 2 x 4 Brick Bases blister pack
*
852555 (Inv) Magnet Set, Minifigures SW (3) - Yoda, Count Dooku, Mace Windu - with 2 x 4 Brick Bases blister pack
Gear: Magnet: Star Wars
It's only missing the lightsaber.

However different to the listing the minifig is permanently glued to the base
+ Torso to the Legs. Basically only Head arms and cape are removable. Is there
a plan to include these glued Magnetfigs in the catalog? Or is only the complete
set considered sellable.
Also there maybe should be added a notice to those sets in regards of being glued
or with lose minifigs.

Alternatively (or in addition to the above suggestion), consider developing a

Thank you for your consideration.

There is actually a mobile version

Hello.

Is this trans-clear part:

Part No: 3754pb05 Name: Brick 1 x 6 x 5 with White Rectangle and NBA Logo (Basketball Backboard) Pattern
*
3754pb05 Brick 1 x 6 x 5 with White Rectangle and NBA Logo (Basketball Backboard) Pattern

*
3440-1 (Inv) NBA Jam Session Co-Pack
64 Parts, 2 Minifigures, 1 Gear, 2003
Sets: Sports: Basketball
Because I have
one of this bricks but with the Backboard pattern on both sides.
It would make sense to me to have it on both sides in this set since it is designed
to play against each other and otherwise one would have to aim at a blank board.

Anyway I think the inventory should be updated and a new part be added or at
least a note added to the brick and the set that it comes in different versions.

From the view of a "professional" who basically has seen everything I can't
learn much from it but maybe it helps newcomers find what they're looking
for.
  2. How do you feel about retitling the item type?

Figure is a more general term and it was probably overdue to change from Minifig
which is for me just the orginal standard LEGO minifig in all its forms. Just
take Scala dolls. They clearly don't say minifig to anyone.

Minifig No: old027 Name: Legoland - Black Torso, Blue Legs, Black Cowboy Hat
*
old027 (Inv) Legoland - Black Torso, Blue Legs, Black Cowboy Hat
Minifigures: LEGOLAND

And what about assemblies from LEGO bricks which form characters like

[m=sw028] and

Minifig No: sp070 Name: Classic Space Droid - Hinge Base, Blue with Trans-Blue Dish
*
sp070 (Inv) Classic Space Droid - Hinge Base, Blue with Trans-Blue Dish

Then there are figures with special heads like

Minifig No: sp113 Name: Space Police 3 Alien - Jawson

Minifigures: Space: Space Police III
or

Minifig No: bob019 Name: SpongeBob - Smile with Squint

Minifigures: SpongeBob SquarePants

Those are all in the moment listed as Minifigs (figures) and maybe should be
added for completenes sake.

Reorganizing dual-colored molded arms.

My take: I'm good with this and it has been requested before. It will reduce
catalog entries from 23 to 11 entries for straight two-color arms. It will take
some work and I'm not sure about the exact logistics, but it can be done.

Sounds like a good idea to me.

  Adding individual decorated hips and legs.

My take: This is currently against policy. Policies can be changed, though.
My question would be this: is it necessary? Does anyone feel a burning need
to sell these parts? Have your buyers been requesting them? How many support
this and how strongly?

We have a few left overs and spare parts from some decorated legs/hips. Which
probably got lost during the play time in the past or where just broken partly
( we mostly buy unsorted used lots ) So we could sell the hand full of them.
But it's possibly not worth it..? Someone might look for spares for their
orphaned hips without getting a full replacement. I think we're talking saving
pennies here (if relatively common)

  Adding individual Technic figure parts.

My take: currently against policy, a policy which is not adhered to considering
that at least one of these is already in the catalog. I see little harm in it,
but again: how many want this and how badly?

I would like it since

Part No: 2706 Name: Technic, Figure Accessory Foot
*
2706 Technic, Figure Accessory Foot
Parts: Technic, Figure Accessory
is already part of the catalog and we have a box
full of Belville and Technic body parts. Occasionally I can fix up complete figures
to sell. But kids seem to like to tare them apart and some got broken....
tl;dr
Yes, I want this.

  Changing titles of certain dual-sided heads to reflect this fact and splitting
heads into single-side print and dual-side print categories.

My take: I think these are good ideas, but am always willing to listen to dissenters.

Everything that makes it easier to find is a good idea in my book.

  Reorganizing/renumbering certain mini doll legs to reflect a change in production
methods.

My take: I would like to see a detailed explanation of the exact issue to understand
it better. I believe one was posted somewhere, but it would be great if it could
be posted one last time in this thread so that we all have an idea of what this
would entail.

No opinion, haven't really dealt much with those yet.

  Splitting decorated/non-decorated minifigure legs.

My take: This one was not on the list for the original project, but I'm adding
it. There are over 1,400 items in the Minifig, Legs Assembly category and I
find it exceedingly difficult to find non-decorated legs in all that mess. Does
anyone else besides me feel like this would be a good split?

Everything that makes it easier to find is a good idea in my book.

No, I had not planned on changing any item numbers for any minifigures. They
would all keep the gen*** numbers.

  This may mix up our sorting system otherwise.

Please clarify what you're saying here. What exactly would mix up your sorting
system and in what way?

You already answered my question. I just wanted to make sure that the item numbers
don't change. Our minifigs are at the moment sorted by the initial letters
of the item number. (like one box oct*** one box cas*** etc...) and changing
item numbers would have making finding the right figure a bit harder.

Sorry if I brought up a bit of confusion as english isn't my first language
and I may have phrased it a bit complicated.

Thanks for the clarification

  Feedback? Ideas? Comments?

I just skimmed through so someone may already suggested this

May I suggest merging Hero Factory and Bionicle parts( and possible some of the
old slizer Technic Ball parts like [p=bb78])
And maybe split it up in weapons, ball joints and everything else while at it.
At this moment I know where to find stuff but it usually takes a while. We mostly
handle unsorted lots and switching between bionicle and hero factory is inconvenient
to say the least.

I had a quick look through several sides. There are no ebye listings were I could

So, Technic 1 x 4 possibly an alternative to the usual 1 x 4 Brick.

A bit confusing. It's either a "minifig" or a "minifig, utensil" depending
on what it is used in the set. I can see the blank unprinted statuette as the
latter. But the printed ones should be under "Minifig" in my opinion.

- How these were used?

Many early LEGO Base plates appear to be cut to size. Given the many Modulex
letters avialible they might be used as door tags or name tags with changeble
letters. I've also seen huge planing boards with those letters based on modulex.
However I have never actually seen architectual use of Modulex bricks but I can't
see any use for an 8 x 8 square for this use in particular.

Maybe put the item number in italics and then delete the item after like 3 month

sure what keeps items from being deleted after being marked for deletion. Bit

There is already a large list of unreleased sets on bricklink. There is no reason
why more should not be allowed to be added, so that bricklink can remain the
most complete Lego database. (Otherwise, what's the point to even having

And there is no reason why people should not be able to buy and sell these sets

these sets can be fully made from the released pieces).
