  Dear BrickLink members,

On June 1, 2023 we plan to implement new marketplace features and settings to
handle Australian Goods and Services Tax (GST). This will mostly affect transactions
where an Australian buyer is purchasing from stores outside of Australia, but
it will also affect all Australian BrickLink members to a degree (both buyers
and sellers).

Here is a summary of what will change:

1. BrickLink will now collect Australian GST for all orders being shipped into
Australia from the outside with a consignment value under $1,000 AUD. As with
other taxes collected on the BrickLink site, this means that all such orders
will require an onsite payment method.

2. When seller invoices go out on June 5th, GST will now be added to the invoice
for Australian sellers.

3. Australian business sellers who are GST registered will now have the option
to upload tax information to their BrickLink seller profile. GST will not be
added to the monthly fee invoice for such sellers.

We plan to send out emails to all affected BrickLink members later this week.
For a deeper explanation of this implementation, please see our new Help Page,
Australian Tax:

Thanks for reading, and feel free comment below if you have further questions.

Please stop by and let me know what you think. I'm sure I missed something.
All tips and suggestions are greatly welcomed here!

Thanks,

Mike

P.S My son called me a psycho and asked if I needed to attend LA (LEGO Anonymous)
for my addiction when he saw me sorting and organizing. I told him I would pay
him to help sort and now I'm not so psycho

It looks very professional and inviting

Messages attached to orders are taking hours to get through on BL, for me at
least, the messages are going into my emails but aren't registering on here
for multiple hours.

Thanks for the great feedback! My time is really limited due to work and family
but I am always trying to design!!

Its great, is that how you're presenting it tho? no minifigs? lego adds tons
of little details to its kits, more animals, vikings werent super tidy, i love
your building but it looks dated like something lego would of done 10 years ago.

Ahsoka if she's legit, but can't find this Boba's chest plate anywhere.
Please tell me I'm not getting ripped off. Seller's feedback is 100%
with hundreds of items. I messaged him after the fact, but haven't heard
back yet. Thanks!

i would imagine BL2.0 would emphasise on making things easier for sellers anyway
and also be able to support a lot more members, coz this lego thing dooesnt seem
to be getting smaller

from a older customers point of view i dont want too much changed, this place
works and work well, super fast now compared to a couple of years ago too haha.

on other sites im on, a lot of them have some form of activity monitor where
you get a notifications, regarding replies to forums you`ve chimed in on or "clicked"
a button to follow.

also a shoutbox, its running all the time, anybody can see it or turn it off,
you can click on the shoutbox and it basically becomes a chatroom....fun

quite a lot of sales were generated through the old chat room, lots of noobies
helped, lots of underaged members removed from the site...these things are still
important...yes?

later

Earlier someone mentioned removing feedback left by buyers complaining about
not receiving accessories for collectible minifigs when they purchase from the
minifig only listing. I've received two of such false complaints in the past
few days. I tried to communicate politely with the buyers about helping them
resolve the misunderstanding but received no responses from either. I'm aware
that others have also experienced this. It would be nice for these feedback to
be removed as they reflect no fault on the seller's behalf.

you're not a special case so just hand out negs and move on.

I have purchased a number of sets and minifigs on BrickLink for one piece out
of the set or off the assembly. This was due to a lack of existing parts in stores.
Usually these parts don't exist in a single store by themselves.

What I have to do now, is to list the part in my Wanted List and check to see
who has the part available in the condition that I want it, and if none exist,
start using the cross references in the Catalog to see what the part came in
and then pair down the options and add those to my Wanted List.

What I would like to have, is an option (a check box) on the Add Part screen
that will allow me to add sets, minifigs, assemblies, gear, etc. that the part
exists in. (Basically desperation mode for a part...)

When looking at my Wanted List, these would show as the appropriate entry (set,
minifig, etc.), but when looking at the item directly, there would be a note
that stated that this item was on the Wanted List for the purpose of X part.

When looking at the By Shop screen, it would list each cross reference as an
available lot, but on the off chance multiple different cross references existed
in one shop, it would list as one unique item.

When deleting items off of a Wanted List, a user would delete the desired part,
not an individual cross reference. And one the screen that you delete items on
your Wanted List purchased during an order, it would show that you purchased
a part instead of the set, to keep things straight.

i voted no because your request is so confusing and most likely a pointless exercise
in coding
