The two-clip saddle started production in 1990. The instructions were never changed but the saddle was updated because the set ran for several years after the one-clip saddle was discontinued in 1990.

I just purchased a brand new set and built it yesterday. I noticed that it came with two extra black hoses of both lengths that aren't used anywhere.
