Obviously there are many others which need aligned over time, but currently Dark
Green should be an immediate priority.

Please, please, please NO. BrickLink color names are not perfect either, but
they make way more sense.

I second this.

Plus, to be honest, I'm not interested in relearning new names. The nougat
thing is already wearing on me.

no offense, but it sounds like you may have some colorblindness issues that you
are not aware of. Red/green blindness is very common especially in men

The dark red tile is nothing like brown. At all. The only thing that can explain
this is your eyes.

yeah well if the sprue ain't attached to the item it is no good when the

You are pleasant aren't you?

Lets start over. Hi, I don't agree with you. Respectfully.

I'm not saying I care about sprues, I don't. But people out there clearly
do so I should be considered.

Crystal

yes they care about using them by themselves in MoC's just like there were
other sprues I used in MoC's like the ones for the gold coins, but like I
said this was already tried before to get that sprue into the catalog and it
was denied. when you are on this site long enough you see many suggestions come
and go and come and go and come and go. the best suggestion given at that time
for selling them was putting them into an unsorted type lot. but that was it.

Again, no skin in this game, was just making conversation. I'm always surprised
how seriously some of this catalog stuff is taken by people.

I know I personally would just sell them on ebay if it was a big deal to me.
I usually try to work within existing frameworks rather than change them, just
my personality. I understand that others are different

NEVER find yourself with 300+ sets to restore all at once. I did this too.
It complicates the process unnecessarily. If you have a pile of 1000 parts that
contains 600 you need to finish 8 sets, you have a manageable problem. If you
have a pile of 100k parts that contains the 600 you need to finish 8 sets, you
have a long, long slog ahead of you.

You can not store all of the parts ever produced. Holding odd bits for the day
that they are needed is a bit like waiting for Godot.

Every set has one or two parts that are unusually expensive. If you can quickly
identify these and determine whether you have them, you will be able to decide
if it makes economic sense to spend even one minute restoring this version of
the set. Ditto for Minifigs.

Took the words out of my mouth. This is primarily what I do, and I don't
have 40 sets in progress, let alone 300. I usually finish one lot at a time.
If the set doesn't have the figs, I usually wont bother saving it depending
on what it is.

I try also to buy lots of similar themes, so I have easy spare parts without
having to have "everything that ever existed". I just need "most" of what was
produced 1980- 2000 in my case.

I guess none of that is helpful really to the OP's question. I personally
wouldn't bother trying to set up my situation to operate this way, I would
work on getting the number of sets I intend to sell in my possession waaay down.

  Hi,

I would like to suggest that "Date Listed" information be made available to a
seller on each "Item in Order" listed on an Order Summary. This is particularly
helpful when an entire lot has been purchased. Allow me to explain:

On several occasions, I have found the "Date Listed" information to be quite
useful when looking for a part that I am unable to locate in my inventory. For
example, when I see that I listed Part X last Tuesday, I might remember that
I put Part X in Tray Y, in preparation for storage. However, "Date Listed" information
is only available when an item is still in stock or in a stockroom. Once the
lot is sold, the information is no longer available (to the best of my knowledge).
Which puts one in an unfavorable situation if they have misplaced a part and
are on the clock for shipping an order out!

Such a feature might look something like the attached image.

Thanks for your consideration.

K

I vote yes. I've misplaced some things that I uploaded when I first began
and was figuring out storage. There's been a handful of times this info would
have been helpful.

I've said this elsewhere, it boggles my mind that buyers simply do not, can
not, or will not, comprehend this simple logic.

People buy from BL with the idea that it's the same as ordering from Amazon.
"Free" shipping, delivery times of a couple days, no-questions asked returns
etc. are all now expected when ordering anything online.

I am on the Lego sub on Reddit and people there ask questions about ordering
from BL at least a couple times each week. The questions make it abundantly clear
that many new BL users do not understand that they are ordering from individuals
rather than from a giant company called BrickLink.

Thank you

You know what, you're right. I've seen the same thing on reddit and never
realized that the posters just aren't understanding its a bunch of different
sellers.

I dunno. I wouldn't be heart broken if you couldn't sell them, but lots

I grade all my parts to some extent. Down to the cheap ones. It takes a massive
amount of time to do this. I don't think sellers should have to do this if
they don't want to. Also, what happens to existing lots? Sellers would have
to go back and grade everything?

That said I would like an additional feedback system similar to ebays star
system. So people can leave an opinion on service and quality without posting
a neg over something small.

Otherwise buy new and read feedback. Sorry you've had a bad time.

Sorry, SHOULD NOT have to do this is they don't want to.

I'm suggesting that until the covid crisis is over that BL puts an extra

It doesn't even need to be permanent. Just something official. They aren't
reading our terms disclaimers.

Open to any input on this.

Having the same issue - all my tracking is not being scanned anywhere in the
last week- the post office insists all packages are being scanned at multiple
points - all i see is priority mail is getting scanned and First class is ending
up in the Black Hole of the postal system. So today, I have started getting acceptance
scans - means standing in line with a mask in a post office. Am waiting for the
negative feedback and impatient buyers who cannot wait 10+ days for the package
to be moving from "pre-shipment" into a post office. I'd like to just offer
Priority Mail but the costs are still much higher than First Class , even for
Flat Rate. Not sure what the solution is but I have heard that the postal system
is like Christmas with much more volume and scans they would normally do are
not happening at all.

I am still getting scans on First Class mail. I am thinking is a transport delay.
And with the protests it may be adding another delay on top of the COVID delays.
Amazon has spoiled everyone with their own delivery fleet.

Same here, the packages scan, move once, and then sit there for 5-10 days. Of
course not every parcel, just a few, but those few just...sit...there.

My internationals were taking over 6 weeks so I turned it off.

Yeah, I don't recall if I saw it on EBAY or AMAZON, but I have for sure seen
checkout or tracking number warnings somewhere. Also I've gotten
emails that my parcels arrival dates have been bumped.

I think its a legit concern, esp if the big platforms are doing something about
it.

There is a bright red banner on the USPS tracking page announcing that there
are delays in transporting the mail...

I've been following several packages that just seem to get stuck in limbo...
Taking 2-3 days to get from one facility to the next - in the SAME city...

So buyers should know it's not you, the sender...

What they should know and what they do seem to not be the same. I've gotten
many messages.

have come across some Technic stickered assembly items, which are not in the
catalogue under the counterparts section.

Is there a reason for this, or is it simply no-one has been brave enough to
do it?

I don't mind having a go and try and get them entered, but I am not very
good with coming up with good accurate descriptions for the stickers. If it
was a plain number, I'd be fine, but when it comes to a SW figure, I don't
wish to describe it as one thing and upset the SW fans who know it should be
something else.

Also is there a limit to the number of characters you can put into a description?
As some Technic entry's are quite long before anything else is added.

See the photos for the items which I am referring to.

Any help/advise I would be most grateful for.

I noticed when I was working on a similar project that yes, the counterparts
were missing to some of the older, smaller, technic sets.

I think just no one has bothered to work on it.

Thanking you all.

The parts on the left are LEGO Light Reddish Violet. The parts on the

Rose is commonly called "Paradisa Pink" and is often sold as "Light Pink" on
BrickLink.

I am not sure if BrickLink's Light Pink actually exist. I suspect many are
misidentified.

The pink on the right in that photo looks uv damaged to me. Particularly the
fence. I know paradisa pink gets discolored very easily. Which I'm sure adds
to the problem.

Without having both parts to examine, I cannot say. But any differences would
likely be extremely minor.

Also, how do we go about numbering in such a case in general? 62575 is the LEGO
design number for the marbled version, 23714 for the plain version. Is the former
really seen as an assembly (cx1)?

I would suggest 62575cx1 renumbered to 23714pb01 and 62575 listed as an alternative
number. Before making such a request, I'd like to be sure about any differences
and guide lines.

And yes, Robert, I know the catalog team has different priorities right now,
but this one just came up and I wonder.

I have both of these. They look different in person. I don't have them in
front of me at the moment but one sits taller and one looks longer.
