Hello,

I have the following problem:

A buyer bought a minifigure from my shop that was still sealed in the bag and
also received it.
Now the order has been set to "Received" for days and the buyer does not respond
to the request to close the order.

I know what he is pushing for: He wants to force me to give a valuation first
and only then does the buyer set the order to "Completed".

This is clearly against the terms of BrickLink.

What should I do or who from BrickLink can help me?

Best regards Daniel and stay healthy.

Its a wider problem, I`ve had it across all platforms I sell with.
writing the IOSS and amount of VAT paid does not seem to have any effect.

Its frustrating.
David

The IOSS has to be sent electronically, by you to your shipper/postal service,
by your shipper to Customs.

Customs won’t read the papers, they only read the electronic data.

THX for all replys. 👍

I doo write the IOSS number in electronic way when I write the CN22.
That is the normal way in Switzerland & swiss post.

Best regards Daniel and stay healthy.

Hello,

I send (from switzerland) a order to a client of belgum & write in the place
for the IOSS number on CN22, the correctly IOSS number from BrickLink.

The BrickLinkVATReceiptEU12345.pdf is printed out and clearly visible on the
back of the package.

Now make the customs problems about the order, that the custom dosent found the
IOSS number & will take again the payed VAT from the client.

Are that not for every customs now after nearly 1 year clear how it functions?

The client send already again the IOSS number & the BrickLinkVATReceiptEU12345.pdf
to proof it, but again dosent accept the belgum border this.

Best regards Daniel and stay healthy.

1. Cancel the order and

Which status options do you have available right now? You have to change it back

Hi & THX,

The order is not yet set to "Completed" (is still "Shipped") but I can't
select anything at "Order Problem".

My post office will refunds me the insured amount and so I can refund the amount
to the buyer.

Its better to contact Paypal for that?

Hello all,

I am having a problem with a CZ seller who is not filling out the cn22 Value
goods correctly.

He takes the total amount of the complete order (goods + shipping costs + paypal
costs) as Value Goods and not only the value of the goods as required.

He does not respond to Cancel the order.

What can I do?

Best regards Daniel and stay healthy.

There is nothing that does not exist.

I live in a non-EU country (Switzerland) and a buyer from the EU (Italy) has
placed an order.
So far so good.
Since BrickLink automatically calculates and indicates the VAT with the order,
it started.

The buyer tell me, he is a professional seller and he already pays VAT in Italy
and therefore he does not pay any additional VAT for this order.

The buyer doesn't pay twice, just once.
Then you ship it to Italy with invoice included as proof fot Italian customs
that VAT is paid by the buyer.

Maybe the buyer means that they are VAT registered in Italy and thus want a B2B
(or C2B, but with the marketplace laws, that’s the same) without VAT?

I’m not sure if that works correctly but BL should not collect VAT for VAT-registered
buyers.  That means that BL needs to be informed the buyer is VAT-registered,
with a valid VAT-ID… so the buyer needs to have a seller account and give their
ID to BL.
https://www.bricklink.com/help.asp?helpID=2517

Anyway, as it’s BL that collects the VAT, it’s a problem between BL and the buyer.
As a non-EU seller on BL, you can’t do anything here.

THX a lot for your answar. 👍

Best regards Daniel & stay healthy.

I should remove the VAT as this was not OK.
Well understood for something beyond my control.

He says, he had already made several orders worldwide and had never had to pay
additional VAT.

Fortunately, there are also serious buyers.

From the EU website: https://europa.eu/youreurope/business/taxation/vat/cross-border-vat/index_en.htm#outsidetheeubuygoods-1

Explained here: https://www.s-ge.com/en/article/export-knowhow/20203-c4-import-vat-ways-manage

Basically either BL collects the import VAT or VAT is paid at the point of import,
before delivery to the customer. The customer claiming he is already paying VAT
in Italy doesn't make sense. Anyway, if you (BL) collect the VAT, than this
needs to be made clear when shipping the goods, so that the buyer is not hit
with VAT again.

For this reason I am only selling within the EU.

Thank you, that's exactly what I explained to the "professional" buyer, but
without gaining any understanding from him.

Best regards Daniel & stay healthy.

  Hello all,

is it possible to set not by "Order" but only by "Quote" in my shop?

Since the change of the VAT law in the EU, I have too many buyers who order and
then withdraw because the VAT still has to be paid additionally to BL.

The buyers are obviously not able to read the Terms & Splash pages.

Best regards Daniel & stay healthy.

Deselect the checkbox for instant checkout on the shipping methods page.

Even then, buyers can still place orders - just not pay for them. I think he
is after forcing quotes before the order is placed, so he doesn't have to
continually cancel (unpaid) orders and do the return stock process (even if he
hasn't physically picked the parts).

If anything, implementing IC with international shipping rates is better, since
the buyers will see the VAT and postage costs before placing the order and checking
out.

As a buyer, I am all for this. I don't understand the way it is implemented
now, you have to commit to buying without knowing the final total.

Hello,

THX for reply.

I actually don't want to do without good settings (like VAT indication).

It seems to me that I have to live with this inconvenience.

Best regards Daniel & sstay healthy.

Last question I have anyway.

How does customs know if the tax has been paid or not if there is no mention
of this tax on the CN22 paper or the invoice?

paid with the Paypal-Onesite button.
The invoice also includes tax sales of US$ 5.45 and is also shown as "partner-fee"
on Paypal.
I received the amount without this "partner-fee", but where did it go? To BL?

Now, on the BL order page, there is neither the VAT invoice-file nor the IOSS
number to found out.

What is going wrong, because when the goods arrive in the USA (Ohio), the tax
sales is charged again by the buyer.

Hi,

I`m on the same problems at least.

I do all on my orders with swiss post account electronique way.
On the Page where I have to write the name and address (from the buyer) its a
place on bottom to write the IOSS number on.

That was also for me very complicated to find out.

Same here in the U.S. I asked the clerk at my local USPS. They had no idea what
I was talking about. I was asked to put the number on the package, however, BL
also states specifically to not put that number on the package, so i declined.
I did include the VAT form showing that the buyer has already paid VAT. We'll
see if that is enough.

Hello,

On the article page of "TLS095 LEGO EMPLOYEE, MALE WITH Apron, Lego Store at
Kidsfest 2013" is a wrong picture where the Minifigur shows in the blister.
The picture with blister is from the "Creativity Tour 2014" and not from the
Kids Festival 2013.

The right picture is attached here.

Where can I report that because the user who does make the changes on the page
can not be notified by mail, as this user has blocked the mail?

Best regards Daniel.
