A refund in the beginning would have eliminated all of the trouble.

How did you get these? This is only one set, how likely is it that a bulk purchase
would have had 3 of these sets included?

Can I please have some clarity from the community if orders are in fact legally
binding contracts, and if so which legal system governs them, and how are they
enforced?
Thank you kindly,
CBS

Sure they are legally binding, but lawyers are expensive and likely the fee for
1 hour of a lawyer would be more than the value of your order.

So enforcement of the contract is highly unlikely. The typical recourse is handled
through the non-paying buyer section of BrickLink.

Can I search for shops that don't have limited lots?

You can contact the stores and tell them what you need and ask if they will give
you a bypass password if they are willing to allow you to order more than their
limit.

Good to know, I didn't know the bypass password worked for lot limits too.

Send a message to the seller asking to remove the lot limit temporarily.

Or

Place an order under the lot limit. Send an email to the seller stating you
want to purchase more. Have the seller mark the order so that no further orders
can be combined with the first order.

Place a second/third/fourth... order under the lot limit.

The seller may requirement payment before an additional order is placed.

Have seller send you an invoice for combined shipping.

i dont feel that I have any obligation to refund or send duplicate parts to the

If you ordered a package from Amazon/Best Buy/Target and you never received it,
what you would expect of Amazon/Best Buy/Target?

You should do the same.

I expect to get my package and would request a refund or another package sent.

Saw this article pop up on reddit and thought it was interesting. Who's
up for the challenge?

https://www.bbc.com/news/magazine-20578627

Ugh so is this the state of science writing?

"The average maximum force the bricks can stand is 4,240N. That's equivalent
to a mass of 432kg (950lbs). If you divide that by the mass of a single brick,
which is 1.152g, then you get the grand total of bricks a single piece of Lego
could support: 375,000."

Bricks have mass, of course, and technically speaking grams and kg are units
of mass, but weight is the issue. On the moon a brick could support many more
bricks.

Really? Why be "Ugh" over this article, I thought the article was neat and interesting.

Why discuss building on the moon when only a handful of LEGO pieces have even
been to space? Why didn't you mention Mars? Appreciate the point of the
article that LEGO bricks can support a lot of force, instead of finding problems.

Look hard enough and errors will be discovered in anything written.

Older arms have no logo

In general, arms from minifig key chains and other gear have extra imprints than
non gear arms

  Hi all,

A new user/buyer with 2 reviews ordered from me and has annoyed me every step
of the way, with new emails and questions.
1)shortly after ordering, I was asked on my personal email when he'd get
the invoice.
2)he then sent me a message through BL asking the same thing.
[I shipped and added tracking info on PayPal and Bricklink]
3)he then sent a message asking for the tracking number on BL.
4)then he emailed me asking for the tracking number.
[Then I sent it]
5)he again emailed me asking what service i used.

He paid quickly but I am annoyed with the questions. Is a neutral review too
much for this? Because I know he will then leave a neutral/negative review.

Thanks for your opinions

Setup instant checkout.

Put the tracking in the order
https://www.bricklink.com/message.asp?ID=1266341

Use drive through messages to let the buyer know the package was shipped.

Finding BrickLink is exciting and a little nerve racking, don't kill the
joy with negative feedback. I was nervous on my first several orders this site
was a scam, so I understand why they wanted to know a lot of information about
the package.

Maybe I have something stashed away that people really want. Also, it would
be nice to filter the list to average price or category. I probably don't
need to know that black technic pins are on 581291 Wanted Lists.

Does this feature already exist?

What you are really requesting is a report of how much more an item is wanted
than for sale.

wanted list to items for sale
or
wanted list to lot for sale

Wanted 3212 / Lots for sale 14 = 229.4 times more wanted than lots for sale
Wanted 3212 / Items for sale 108 = 29.7 times more wanted that items for sale

I have discovered that 7 outgoing orders have possibly been stolen from my residential
mailbox. I have security, but the camera doesn't cover the mailbox area.
One customer in-particular is being very belligerent about not receiving his
order (over 400 pieces!).

I will have taken a big hit to my bottom line by the theft of those 7 orders,
and through no fault of my own, should I have to be the brunt of negative feedback?
He's already filing for a refund through PayPal, which is his right. What
are my options in this case?

I'm certainly not doing anymore business through my residential mailbox!!
I'll drive out of my way to go to the PO from now on!

If you have more than 5 outgoing packages, the mail carrier is not supposed to
do an acceptance scan. 5 is the most they will scan, and none get scanned if
you have more than 5. Once they get them back to the post office, they will not
be scanned there either. They should begin appearing on tracking once they pass
thru an NDC sorter.

You have two options, one is to generate all your postage using PayPal Multi-Order
Shipping, and generate a SCAN form. The mail carrier will scan the SCAN form,
and then click YES, the number of packages is correct. Doing the SCAN form indirectly
causes all the packages to be acceptance scanned. The other option is to take
them to the post office, and ask a retail counter clerk to do a 'Pre-Paid
Acceptance Scan'.

Nita Rae

This is great information, I never understood the purpose of a scan form until
now.
Thank you!

Incomplete sets are an exception that we tolerate
for some very specific reasons, such as vintage stickers.

Please explain further what is meant by "very specific reasons"

To me it means that BrickLink does not want incomplete sets and an incomplete
set is the exception and should be a low percentage of the lots for sale.
