The links can indeed get me what I'm after but the point was that I would
find it helpful if I didn't have to use the links and could just go to the
main thread and read the full chain of replies without having to leave the page.
This can be done even now but as I pointed out earlier the replies get clipped
off after they get too long and thus you cannot stay on the main thread to read
everything. Instead, you end up having to go chase down the replies one at a
time to read the whole thing.
In a typical forum, you would click a topic/post to see the original post and
all of its replies. You can then read the entire reply and all that follow it
till the end of the thread. Everything is available on that one page unless paginated
In this forum, you click a topic/post, get to read the original post, and then
get what amounts to a preview of each reply with links that can take you to the
reply so you can read it. Here only part of the thread is available on the main
page and the rest gets secreted away into "reply" pages that you have to go dig
through individually to get the whole picture.
I would just like to see all of the replies made viewable and readable by way
of the primary post/thread similar to how a normal forum would as outlined above
There could still be "reply" pages as they have them now. I just want to see
the character count restriction lifted for the replies on the main thread so
that the full reply is visible instead of the current partial reply with a link.
Hopefully, this makes sense

correct item is 2412b (with bottom grove), there are also the same item no 2412b for white and black in the same set already listed

I disagree. The yellow ones are found at least until 1997 in sets. The b type
is already as alternate part in the inventory.

The high-quality images replace the low-quality images. There is no either/or,
just one image (i.e. no high-quality and low-quality images stored separately).
Therefore, there is only *one* image *per* part *per* color, whether it currently
be low-quality or high-quality. If the code sees a color image for a part for
a color, it grabs the color image unaware of the quality of it. How would it
know to grab the generic large image of the part if a color image *is* available
for that part in that color that you clicked on?

It is annoying *right now* due to the quality of the images. And I think it is
*meant* to be annoying so users will help to move the site to high-quality part
images. I am doing my part to do this.

As a sidenote, these new images are better but still not really "High-Quality".
Even if you improve the quality (color, contrast) of the images grabbed from
the Lego Server, their size still remains 192x192, regardless if you fill them
into a 320x240 blank space (you) or if you just upload them in 192x192 size (Jen).

I am a proud owner of this set since 1980, I still have the original box, manual and catalog. Recently I acquired another set, in very similar shape, and by checking it against BrickLink's inventory I noticed that some pieces, physically present in both sets of mine, are still missing from BrickLink's inventory.
The four blue pieces (2 bricks and 2 slopes) are not used in the main model, but were present in the original box and used in the alternate models. Also, there were 4 red 1x2 plates, only one is used in the main model but all the four are used in some alternate models. Finally, the yellow round 1x1 bricks in my original box have an open stud, so this must be an "alternate" version.

Interesting find. For 1980, the round brick with open stud would be expected.
The other pieces, especially the blue ones, are a bit unusual, and I'm curious
as to which alternate models you find them in. Can you post pictures?

the wanted list specified in the wanted settings:

When hovering over the flags in your orders received list you'll see the
country names.
Set up you your invoice template by using conditional macros to differentiate
between domestic and international orders.
If postage to NZ is different from other international destinations, you can
also set up a special shipping option for NZ and use it through conditional macros,
too.

I'm not sure what the help desk process looks like on Admin's end, but I would
expect that tickets can be (at the very least), marked with status updates, and

of this structure -- when a ticket is closed, the autoresponder could send the
ticket status update to the person who opened the ticket (any anyone else whose
tickets were merged).
Think about the timeout issues we've been seeing lately. It's fantastic that
Admin has come on to the forum to give us some updates on the status. But only
about ... what ... 1/20 BrickLink users reads the forum? Less than that do it
regularly, and we know how fast posts scroll off the first page.
If status updates could be sent at least to the people who mailed the help-desk,
I think that would go a long way toward keeping those frustrated users "in-the-loop",
in case a significant portion of them are not forum readers.

with my 15+ years I will say this. The fast and easiest way to fix this is to
goto an already packaged software OUTSIDE of BL. For them to fix the system that
is here will take more man hours then its worth for the reward that something
already out there in the wild will already do. BL just needs to make a jumping
point from various places on the BL site to get you to the ticket system. that's
by far a much easier way to add a little code to get a better solution then what
is being used now. The current system of (Send an email) is Unacceptable with
the scale of problems that come in. Not to mention an analyst would love this
so they can see WTF is going on.
Come on guys.. need to be in this century.

Whenever I reported a bug or technical issue in the last months, and got a reply
on one of them, they had assigned a ticket number such as [22A-1FB0E900-0124]
for example.
The issue BrickLink has is that after sending the report, the sender does not
get an automated copy as e-mail to refer on if a reply is not received after
a reasonable timeframe.

Yeah this pissed me off last week when I went to close my Store. Honestly, Its
None of BL's Business why I want to close my store. What if I simply want
to close my Store because I feel like it.
They NEED an "OTHER" option with NO explanation or just remove that section all
together. I don't see why its even needed in the first place.

I was told it's just for statistics, because they want to learn why sellers
close their stores. They're also considering adding an "Other" reason.
Until then you can still select the last option from the list
