Just out of curiosity, how frequently do you, as owners of large stores (I'm
thinking 1,000+ orders) get messages from buyers informing you about missing
pieces or broken pieces in their order. I have had to send multiple of these
messages during my time on BL (I really hate doing it) and I wanted to know how
irritating it is on the receiving end.

--Claude

As a small store (550 orders in 2023), we hand 2 orders that were missing an
item or there was an error and we shipped out a second package.

We also had to credit about eight other transactions for a missing part (minor
10-15 cents here or there), which was spotted before shipment.

With 2900 orders to date never recall someone stating a part was broken, discolored
or that there was a quality issue.

Larger stores (50+ transactions a week) running brick sync are surely averaging
2-3 each week if not a lot more.

Sadly it has now happened to me too.

A happy customer has posted neutral feedback.

Couldn’t expect to keep 100% forever but hate to lose it this way.

Messaged them asking why a neutral, explaining result of a neutral on my score,
awaiting a reply.

Oh well, it won’t affect sales as buyers can see the customer was happy with
items.

This was bought up in earlier post this week...

I guess all we can do as sellers are blocking them until they learn how the site
works.

This would be easy with two orders:

31 US stores have all four torsos
8 US stores have both the soccer ball and net

Instead of reporting them...

Why not just choose to purchase from stores where you are in agreement with their
Terms and Conditions.

Just had a general question. At which point in terms of pieces and lots did you
begin to get daily or 4-5 orders each week?

Thanks

In the past it was 5k, now its more like 10k and lets not forget spring through
summer things slow down.

Thanks, direct link works.

I was looking for the clickable link at the bottom of the Orders page, where
did it go?

It's at the bottom of the "Orders Placed" page

Not showing on my browser, but glad I got the workaround. Thanks

Hello. I don't know if this is the right place to ask about this. I was
working on setting up international shipping plans for my store, and worked through
the list of countries. However, I saw that while many other countries in Africa
are available to ship to, Nigeria isn't one of them. This seems very strange
to me, as it is one of the most populous countries in the world, with over 200
million people. Is there some reason why it's not included in the list of
countries to potentially ship to?

I don't personally ship international, but I got the impression most stores
are only shipping to the 55 countries on pirateships list as including tracking
/ simple export rate.

Really strange how so many people believe there is so much fake Lego out there
with Lego logo.

Seems that we have these questions or statements most weeks, sometimes more than
once a week.

Op : Other markings underneath will usually be part number / mould number and
position in mould / copyright / pat pending / pending Pat / both the previous
two obscured etc.

However, better to ask if unsure.

I have bought some lego parts, but i believe they might be fake.
The bricks do have 'lego' written on the top of the studs, but on the
back side of the brick there are no 4 or 5 digit part number. Anyone can tell,
if these are real lego (maybe older parts only had the logo)?

Real. If it has the lego lego it’s real. Some parts don’t have the part number
and some don’t have the logo and some have neither but if it has the logo it’s
real

And most are ZERO feedback buyers that I guess are new to Bricklink, sky is aways
falling in this forum even with all the millions of successful transactions.
Like they say, negative views get the attention...

There are two issues that keep getting voiced here in 'Suggestions':

- Nobody actually uses 'easy buy' because you can't select Country

- You can't save a default location on 'Items for sale' tab.

This is the first time this has happened to me in a lot of orders on here.

I ordered what was supposed to be new Lego pieces.

I received used Lepin or other off-brand pieces. One stud on each piece is indented
where the Lego logo would go.

These people should not be allowed to operate on here. Go sell that junk on
fleabay.

Help the community by leaving them negative feedback.

Others will be able to see the store name in "Show me feedback that you left

How many mistakes in an order do you all tolerate before contacting a seller?

For egregious cases the decision is easy, but I just received yet another order
leaving me with a frustrating decision to make. I understand quantity errors,
but what gets to me are the missing lots that occur in roughly 50% of all orders
that have missing lots that bother me.

In this case, I probably will not say anything, because only 2 of 60 lots are
missing, they are not minifigures, and because I can get them from Lego.com for
$4 total. However, the decision is still annoying because one of the lots is
for right wedges to match left wedges that did get included.

Notes:
-Yes, I have tried ordering fewer lots, but it seems you have to keep it under
20 lots in order to prevent most seller mistakes. Those smaller orders are usually
not cost effective for me after factoring in shipping costs.
-If you receive an order containing a printout with a hand-written check mark
next to each lot, consider favoriting that seller. Those sellers are rare and
almost never make mistakes.

As a seller I encourage all buyers to make contact with an order mishap (overage
too), because a lot audit needs to be conducted to keep store inventory straight.

In regards to errors we have found close to 100% pulling accuracy upto about
100 lots (our lot limit), and a single error occurs about every three months
or 100 orders.

I guess you proved your point about the variation controversy, would it not just
be better to find a store that has an exceptional feedback score and states they
differentiate part variations in their store terms.

It's really no different than picking to shop at a store with tons of negatives
then posting of your horror story here on the forum, or not choose a store with
instant checkout or one offering flat rate shipping then complaining on the forum
that shipping charges on Bricklink are way to high.

Their are tons of really good sellers here on Bricklink, but you are required
to spend
the time to search them out.

It's part of the marketplace - its not always about who's got the lowest
price.

  Hi!

I didn't get a response from the help desk, so I'm asking here.

I noticed that I can part together some official sets using 100% new parts. Am
I allowed to list those sets as "new incomplete" if I mention in the
comments that I parted together the set myself using new parts and am missing
box/instructions/stickers? Or are you only allowed to list a set as "new
incomplete" if you only took items out of a NISB set?

If you are not allowed to list it as "new incomplete", could you list
it as "used incomplete" and say in the comments that you parted it together
using new parts and am missing box/instructions/stickers?

Given that:

"Custom sets or instructions may be listed, provided they do not infringe
on any intellectual property rights, including those of the LEGO Group."

I do not believe I could list it as a custom set instead?

Thanks for information and if possible would like clarification from an admin.

Not sure if you will get an answer from the team, but you "can't put
the genie back in the bottle". I don't think you are the first with
this idea, but I think anything along these lines is not going to be viewed as
new. Since most set pieces come in sealed bags, I think that is what allows
them to be considered NEW.

Has anyone else had their postal address change but you didn't change it?
I moved and changed my address in September of last year. Placed an order on
Feb. 11th no problem. Placed another order with the same seller on March 4th
and my address popped up as a combination of my current address and my previous
address. The log doesn't show any changes in this time frame. Anyone else?
Jason

You are making allegations of a possible major problem, but without detail other
than the comment "address popped up as a combination of my current address
and my previous address" is no help. Where and how, screen shots would help.

After 10 years here on Bricklink I may have been a late adopter, but I don't
ever want a printout (business card, sticker, or any advertisements) with my
order.

All my orders get a simple 1/2" x 2" sticker on the plastic bag with
a hand written order number for reference.

When I first started selling I bulk ordered plastic deli containers from a wholesale
restaurant store. Great for small stores

I quickly moved to the plastic baggie

Each part has it's own bag, and then within that bag are the separate colors.
Each color has their own bag. Then all similar pieces go into one of those 18
gallon storage tubs. Example: all normal bricks have 1 bin, the modified bricks
have their own.

The problem is, it still takes me forever to go through the bin to find the correct
part bag, to then go through that bag for the color bag.

I can't afford enough drawers to have the drawer system I want.. but do yall
have any suggestions on what I can do now without spending a ton to help with
storage?!

I think the key is to both slowly evolve creating different solutions to meet
your needs, and also slowly investing in those solutions.

I started with Ikea toy storage bins (about 6 plus and kept finding them at garage
sales for pennies on the dollar), sectioned into 4ths with ziplock snack bags
for storage. This was a cheap creative option to start.

After 10 years I current have a variety of options to accommodate differences
in both quantity of items, size of item, or rareness of items needing pulled.

Currently have a variety of storage methods:
20 x 60bin organizers
20 x 39bin organizers
20 shoe organizers
30+ Large pickabrick cups
60 small dollar tree organizers (smallest parts)
25 medium dollar tree organizers
8 - 3 drawl sterile type organizers
30+ bead orgainizers

Most seller still use the 60 drawl type system because it just works best for
legos. The one pictured includes dividers saving on an additional purchase.
