Please give 3001special access to all colors in the catalog, including Modulex
colors.

Often when uploading test bricks, it is hard to find the exact color, so having
all colors available is a must.

Also, some test bricks actually come in Modulex colors.

It would be great if this can be added.

Thanks,
Maxx

Moved to suggestions because this requires a code change. We can't do anything

Thank you 👍

See pictures, recently found this plastic wrap.

No idea what it was used for, I think it is to expensive to use as packing paper.

1985 Belgium.

Any ideas are welcome, I will add it to the catalog if needed.

70 cm wide.

Maxx

Does anyone have any idea yet or found a picture of it being used?

The transparent bricks with the different coloured tubes are very cool. Are they
painted or did they dual mould them back then? I wonder if they did it manually,
molding just the orange tube first then filling the rest in trans clear.

They are painted after the molding.

Don’t think they could do double molding back then 😁

I have some of those trans-clear bricks with a dark green colour in the tubes
(IIRC). I thought the person that gave them to me had done it.

Would love to see a picture and if real, would love to have one (or more) 😁

Almost complete, just a few blue bricks and a blue 700e baseplate on the box.

Received from Germany, the house and box, thank you Thomas!

Originally received in 2012 (second picture) now with original buildings.

Third picture is an original picture of the board in 1958 taken from a toy shop
folder.

————————————————————————————————————————————————-

LEGO: OLD WOODEN BOARD

(2012)Finally in from Germany, my own wooden board, thank you Kurt(c:

This board is from around 1958, introducing the then just new bricks with tubes.
The board was used by toy shop owners to show to their customers how to use the
new brick with tubes.

A few builds were gluid on there and people got to build on it, feeling how this
new tube system made for more building fun.
See here for the original:
http://www.flickr.com/photos/maxx361/11051928904/in/photostream//

The board is build up of a wooden back board, on it lay 7 thick baseplates 10x20.
The wooden plate is screwed onto the baseplates.
The bricks are all glued in place to the baseplates, so no other pattern can
be made.
The red bricks originally on here should not be there and have been put there
sometime in the past.

It is my understanding (from the text and new picture) there came more loose
bricks with this, so the shop owner could show his buyers the possibilities.
These loose bricks sat in the container on the right.

The text reads in German:"Please, build for yourself with LEGO and tell your
buyers too, how easy it is."

The black part is cardboard glued on the baseplate.
The bricks are glued onto the cardboard, a nearly identical one was used on the
patent application (4th picture).

It shows the different colors available at the time (no black bricks yet), the
top and bottom of 2 bricks and a few cut bricks to show the inside.

Very special also are the 4 transparent bricks with one orange tube.
Showing how the new tube system works.

It was also used on the 1958 small box:
http://www.flickr.com/photos/maxx361/4976859687/in/set-721576274..

The wooden plate measures 60 x 19 cm.

It is funny to me how people are willing to pay such prices for such a crappy
set…

Besides the “rare” minifigs, this is a bad set, the Death Star is a much better
set for instance.

But to each his own, I pay stupid money for a single 3 gram 2x4 brick

You can start your downsizing by not getting married.

Was gonna say the same and he’d better start saving for his divorce, much more
expensive than marriage

  Thanks Maxx

I have certainly had a bunch of problem orders -- especially in a few concentrated
periods of time, and almost always due to my own personal failings. I struggle
with ADHD which is an enormous super-power in some aspects of this job (sorting,
storage systems and order processing) and also an enormous challenge to in the
"last mile" of a lot of critically important tasks.

As an illustrative example: picking and packing orders in record time and then
walking by them for days, fighting with myself to take them to the post office.
That will sound crazy to most people, but I'm sure there are some of you
who either find that familiar in your own life, or in someone you care about.

I'm working hard to put in place procedures and back-ups with support from
family and staff to safety-play my own significant issues.

This -- was not one of those.

Mike

(I remember a time Maxx when you were ill and unable to respond or pay for an
order -- I hope you're all better)

Thank you Mike, yes, I am better from that luckily.
But I do understand your ADHD problems, your superpower and your weakness.
The trick is to not let your buyers be hurt by that, great to hear you are implementing
backup support.
When I have trouble with my depression, I close my shop, or when I get to much
orders at ones, I close my shop.
I don’t have backup support anymore since my divorce.

About the original story/question, it is ofcourse not nice for a buyer to not
respond.
So as you say, the first order should have gone to a npb.
But, their request on the second order isn’t that weird, yours isn’t either of
wanting the minifig back.
Why did you both not try and meet in the middle, him keeping the fig and you
refunding say $6.50?
It sounds like you both quickly escalated to war?

You as the seller should try and de-escalate the situation and see if you can
come to an agreement.
Maybe this was a situation where your backup should have stepped in?

Or, you simply could never have won with this buyer, some people can never be
helped.
Glad to hear you are taking precautions, sometimes chips just happens.

Good luck,
Maxx

Hmm, looking at Toronto’s negs and neutrals, I would give the buyer a little
more leeway.

Having a neutral or negative every 100 orders isn’t the best seller.
Not saying the buyer did nothing wrong, but…

My two cents,

I’ve been going through unused parts that I’ve had boxed up for a while, and
I’m really stumped on figuring out what color these 1x1 plates are. In person,
they look light mint green, much like the “Light Green” I found on BL. It appears
that color plate did not come in any sets, and I can’t recall purchasing these.
I lived in Scotland for several years, and shopped at a few LEGO stores abroad,
so I may have picked them up there. I can’t seem to take a photo that captures
exactly what the color looks like in person (it truly looks light mint IRL),
but this is as close as I got.

Thank you all for suggesting I take comparison photos without making me feel
like a total idiot for not doing that in the first place.

Ok, I took several photos of green tiles next to each other (before reading the
excellent advice about not using all green in the pics), and all the colors looked
off. BUT, I accidentally stumbled upon a part that appears to match my mystery
tiles. I may have dismissed some suggested colors prematurely bc now that I’m
seeing it on a much larger part, I think there’s more yellow than I had thought.
If I could only read the part number on this thing I could put this to rest.

Very unlikely, but still interesting.

Hmm, to me it got more of a Trans-Grayish Brown feel….
