| To clarify for those that do not know where the "MK" is found (it took
me a little while to find it): The "MK" designation is on the sticker
sheet (though, "MKII" is also on the box for set 42009).

What does MK mean ?

I've been wondering, was there a design flaw or something that made LEGO
abandon the smaller worm gear in favor of older version that used more plastic?
Since making new mold to produce parts can be costly, some thousand dollars
or so.

I remember buying about 100 or so of this part back then. I use them a lot in
Mocs.

Many years ago I drilled a very shallow hole slightly smaller than a stud so
that the stud on a jumper plate would be tight inside of the soccer ball. It
worked very well.

Iid love to have them. Please reply back with details. Phil
1 in red, 1 in blue, 1 in medium azure, 2 in dark pink and 2 in medium lavender.
They are all new and never used but because they are made of soft plastic they
have a little bit of surface scratchings from being moved around. We dont really
have a use for them so they have just been sitting around. They look like they
are getting bummed out because they dont have anything to do here and they would
like to be doing what they were made for, holding someone's Lego.
They retailed for $7.99 each (at least that is what the price sticker on the
bottom says) but we just want them to have a new home where they can be put to
good use. If anyone is interested we will be glad to send them to you free of
charge (providing you live in the US as overseas postage would be killer). Just
let us know if you are interested.
Jim.
