I had a couple of these this in my inbox this morning. They looked completely
legitimate. I did login in to BL from my work computer yesterday. When I have
logged in from work before, I have never gotten an email like this, but I thought
that maybe it was a new security feature.

Anyway, with a very official looking email in hand, I clicked the suggested logout
from all devices link and had just about entered my credentials in the new window
to log back in when I noticed two minor things that seemed just a bit off. I
won’t mention those things in case the fraudsters are reading. I looked at the
URL and it was very close to BrickLink’s (it was not the .net one that was mentioned
before). Needless to say, I immediately changed my PW and reenabled the one-time
PIN (I had turned it off because I was being repeatedly prompted for a new PIN
over very short time spans even when I hadn’t logged out). I’ll also be downloading
my inventory

BE DILIGENT! I’m a pretty suspicious person when it comes to online activity,
but, in my groggy state when I woke up this morning, I almost fell for a phishing
scheme presented as a very authentic looking email.

Had the same about one week ago and also placed a warning in the forum. These
warnings cannot be repeated too much and I think there must be a permanent warning
for this on the welcome page. it certainly will prevent a lot of trouble. Not
everyone reads the forum and not everyone is aware of this.

I don’t know why BrickLink has suddenly become such a juicy target. These people
have no hope of accessing any of my monetary accounts. I assume the goal is
to gain access to a legitimate shop so they can list high-dollar items to scam
other members.

I don’t envy the task that management has ahead of them, but they need to take
some substantive action soon. This is not a primary income stream for me, so
at some point, when all the gummy spam, phishing attempts, and slow helpdesk
response times become too much, I may simply close my store for a while. I don’t
need the extra headache of worrying about online security for a part-time job.
Had I fallen victim to this phishing attempt, I’m really not sure how much effort
I would have put into trying to recover my account. BrickLink just feels like
a dicier selling proposition lately.

Hi

This below may be a duplicate warning.

We got an e-mail that ' someone logged in to my account', 'contact
support' and then "Log device out of your account'.

Sender: support@brickslink.org

So is this the way accounts are hacked? If so, Bricklink should place a warning
to prevent this!

Regards

Hi

Yes it is the brick in the lower left corner. So it was a clearing of old stock?
And stock of old and newer times have been mixed, since the set also contained
the later version of the 2x4. (bho4).

The 2 x 4 is an unlisted variation, it’s a bslot04 of some sort with the added
hollow studs.

I believe it to be the transition to the normal hollow stud hollow bricks from
the original slotted bricks.

Does it have ghost slots at the ends or even on the sides, slot lines still visible
but filled with plastic ?

I believe I also have these with Lego logo on the studs and underneath on the
same bricks.

Thank you for ther identification of the bslot vricks. No, the 2x4 do not have
a ghost slot. There are inly two of them in the set, the other ones are the bhol04
type.

  Hello Friends at Bricklink!

I have a suggestion for the "Orders Placed" page. Please allow for a
longer history of orders. I (as well as other professional builders) get to write
off our Bricklink orders on our taxes, and it doesn't help that my orders
expire from the page. If I need to reference them for tax season, they aren't
there. Currently I only show orders up till September 2023, but not before. It
would help to have access to orders *at least* going back to January 2023.

Thank you for considering this. It would make a huge difference to see this change
take place.

Bruce

Agree. On all other platforms I sell and systems I use for selling, transactions
are kept for many years. For tax purposes 5 years would be the least. The '6
moth's is from a period that data storage costed a multiple of what is cost
now. And in some cases it is practible to an overview of transactions with a
specific buyer. I now have to print all invoices out.

is.

geval was.

Maybe I am wrong...the same set was offered from two anothe Dutch dealers for

as well.

https://www.acm.nl/nl/verkoop-aan-consumenten/consumenten-informeren/prijzen-vermelden

You are absolutely right, I think it is for the whole European market. When you
buy you need to see all costs as soon as you buy. I did not mention it, because
dealers who do not chooses automatic checkout will not see the postage and other
costs. I do not mind if the extra costs are reasonable costs for postage and
paypal. I am adding these costs myself in my oswn shop. But when someone simply
adds a % to its prices it is undoubtedly \agains European rules, even when mentioned
in the terms.

Formely I copy/pasted adresses, but for some years now I have to fill in an online
formular to ship abroad.

But addresses are unclear in some cases, especiallaly from South Korean and Chinese
customers.

So I often have to ask what-is-what, sometime building names, room numbers, steet
names and numbers come in one line - too long anyway to put in the formular and
in many cases impossible to untie.

This often gives a lot of extra communication and delays. The english language
or let me say my english language- is not allways understood.

It will also cause improper addressings.

So what I suggest is making a fixed format for addresses according to the standards
postal administrations use for their online fomulars.

So a line for street, a field for streetnumber, a line for building name, city,
provibce/region etc.

This would make it much easier to ship, avoid a lot of communication and delays.

regards
Erik

Incorrect.

Best regards Daniel and stay healthy.

I allways exclude shipping costs from the CN22 formular. However, when I ship
goods to the UK all other costs are added up to the value by Bricklink and the
VAT is calculated for the total. Sorry I did not check the whole thread for this,
but this brings uo the question to me: Is this correct?

Every year we ship a lot of parcels to the USA, but recently we had two problems
with shipping upholded by the US customs for 4 weeks and arriving after 6 weeks.

The most recent case is a parcel of about 400 euro, send to Colorado.

order paid 08-12
order shipped by us 09-12
order received in dutch sorting center 10-12
order reached the US 17-12 (So it took 7 days..)
order under inspection sinnce 17-12.

Our buyer is very upset about this and asked me for action. But what else can
I do than just wait?

All papers are correctly added to the shipment, I supplied the tracking to the
buyer.

Someone told me that the custom handling in some states takes very long. Does
anyone has similar experiences?

After receiving the shipment I was contacted by the buyer that he wanted to return

" I have a question about the Grima minifigure you sent. Your shipped Lego figure
will not have as rounded shoulders as most other Lego minifigures. They are sharper."

As I am very sure I shipped genuine figures, can this be explained?

I offered the buyer to return, because I want my buyers to feel comfortable with

Erik

In fact I feel a bit sad about this. Despite his post buyer still wants to shop
back. I pointed him to my privat website where I offer 5x the sticker and the
manual for the set grima came from. It is his right anyway to return so i have
to accept it and I think that a buyer should feel satisfied with his order, But
in this case i don't understand. Costed 14 Euro to ship it...And for the
buyer 14 Euro to ship it back...

Buyer may be trying to return a fake and keep the genuine figure that you mailed.
See what you get back.
