I do not know if both versions of the road sign were in this set or if the 30258 sticker parts were mistakenly added as it's not listed in the inventory or as a counterpart. If both versions exist, then would they be listed as alternate counterparts?

| Hi Jen,
My question/issue is how to tell if a stickered part had been submitted to be
added to the set inventory as a counterpart - not as a new entry in the catalog.
Every few months I go through those parts that people have added but then neglected
to add those parts to their respective sets. Basically get them out of no mans
land.
So, in the past I added a whole bunch to one of the mobile technic cranes, must've
been about 2 dozen. All were not in the counterpart section of the set. But
someone had beat me to it but there was no way to tell that until I hit submit.
And unfortunately it doesn't flag every part that has already been submitted.
It's one at a time. So you have to delete it, resubmit. Then repeat for
all submitted parts. I think I spent over an hour on that one set - if I recall
it had identical stickers on different parts so I had to go through the instructions
page by page trying to find the correct quantity of each stickered part. It
was tedious but eventually all for naught.
The link Paul supplied will definitely help in the future.

| One of things I like to do from time to time is to assign those decorated parts
that have been added to the catalog but not added as counterparts to their appropriate
set.
For example:
It was added Dec 8,2021 but it is currently not listed in 75308's inventory.
So an Inventory Change request would need to be made to list it as a counterpart
(I have since submitted the request). Now this is the easiest example as that
is the ONLY stickered piece in the set. Some sets have dozens that need to be
added. I have submitted requests for such sets only to find out someone else
had beaten me to it. Incredibly frustrating as the time I used, which can be
significant, turned out to be wasted. And you don't find out until the very
last step - at submission. And it doesn't flag all the pieces - only the
first one it finds in the list that had been already submitted. So you can have
20+ parts and it turns out only 1 or 2 haven't been submitted. Good luck
finding out which ones quickly.
What I would suggest is something similar to when someone has reserved a set
to inventory. You immediately know if a set has been reserved as it states on
its catalog page under 'Item Consists Of', 'Inventory in Progress'
or something similar. So is there a way to tag or reserve those parts that have
been submitted waiting for approval to their appropriate sets so that when you
go to its catalog page you can see a message like 'Pending Approval'
under 'Item Appears In'?
I know adding stickered counterparts is way down on the list for catalog priorities
so adding such a feature could save lots of duplicate work/time from submitters.
Especially since there is an apparent backlog of stickered counterparts waiting
to be approved.
Of course, if such a thing already exists, could someone point it out to me?
