Anyone who found one in a battle pack please reach out and speak. I’m pretty
skeptical about it appearing in such a small set, although a few sources say
it has been.

I've heard it possibly had supply chain issues and might be retiring but
haven't seen it on any retirement lists

So probably late next year is what you’re referring to?

When does the MBS Cantina retire? Is it this year or end of next year? I have
multiple sources with conflicting information about it.

I got rich by inventing a time machine, but I've also been a longtime collector

In reality I bought everything in 2018/2019 when Boba was only ~$400, back then
I thought he was expensive, can't believe it now (I don't think it's
worth it at this point)

In the words of Boba Fett himself, “He’s worth a lot to me.” Someday I’ll get
myself one of those guys.

Very jealous.

As for my most expensive item, I have a lot of 4/5 light up lightsaber figures.
Only missing Obi-Wan, then I’ll have them all. Also own some vintage Star Wars/
Indiana Jones sets/figs and Raimi era Green Goblin and doc ock thin smirk, Peter
Parker, Mary Jane, and Harry from the hideout set. So yeah a bunch of expensive
stuff.

There is already an additional note on the entry that states:

"This cardboard sleeve comes in set 4501."

We do not add the cardboard sleeves to set inventories.

Cheers,
Randy

Oh. I just saw on others that it had a “comes in”.and the entry for 48431 doesn’t
have that. I know that they aren’t added to the set inventory themselves. It’s
kind of hard to explain unless you look at 2 catalog entries of cardboard sleeves,
with one being this one.

Is this just an error?

No, you need to be a seller to part out sets under the "add to inventory" section

if you go into the inventory of the advent calendars and click "break sets" it'll
give you an actual parts list; scroll to the bottom and you'll see a list
of the extra parts

Oh I see it now. I know I had done it before so I didn’t remember what I had
done wrong. Thanks

What are the extra parts in 75340 and 75279? Is there a way to view this if they

Hardly a misprint.

Looks like the picture is just distorted and stretched out to me and still doesn't
look like much if any of a misprint.

That’s what my figure looks like. The printing on the head is too low and the
mouth looks weird to me.

So I tried using the compare feature but couldn’t find an answer. What’s the
difference between the speeder bikes in these two sets? There honestly should
be a subsection when comparing for certain models within sets.

No just didn’t want the hassle to sell one

Selling finch dallow should be super easy barely an inconvenience. He’s a pretty
desirable figure and I highly doubt you would have trouble selling a figure of
his value.

These are all good replies! I think my favorite mentioned in this thread has
to be the OG Republic Gunship from 2002. I honestly need to pick one up, but
the figures alone cost a small fortune. Even the 2 Supers are at least $70 each
last I checked. The fact that Jedi Bob is over $100 is just insane!

Yeah, prices are "insane" I remember when I could hardly giveaway the Jedi Knights
from that that set, had loads of them too. Ended up parting them out for chump-change.
Never understood back then why some figures were for years, undesired. I wrote
it off as folks just wanting the popular villain/hero characters, the more black
n'white roles in the movies. Guess I really don't know the consumer mindset.

My son still recalls the set too. "Hey dad, you remember that gunship set?" kind
of thing. It was his first set, but never really got a lot of Lego sets after
his seventh birthday, some here and there. He enjoyed other things more, like
his KTM at eight years-old when we moved to California living in the desert.
After that, it was all about the outdoors and dirt bikes, backcountry trekking,
shooting, etc. I 'americanized' him, the western style

Thanks for the great thread. Some fantastic reading from others.

Castle sets in general are just so fun to build and collect. I’ve got to get
around to getting a raised plate castle someday!

I could guess but probably never be certain. I can say that I 100% remember
getting this set:

Set No: 6276 Name: Eldorado Fortress
*
6276-1 (Inv) Eldorado Fortress
462 Parts, 8 Minifigures, 1989
Sets: Pirates: Pirates I: Imperial Soldiers

I was completely blown away by how huge and amazing it was, that was a special
Christmas. Honestly makes me wonder if I am spoiling my kids now.

I dug out all the parts about 10 years ago and put it together again, I kind
of want to do a search for it again. Its one of those sets (along with the forestmen
ones) that really just bring me back.

Eldorado Fortress was such a great set. I know I’m biased because I’m a huge
fan of raised plates in general but the crane and rest of the build just make
this set so special. Someday I’ll have to get around to buying it. It’s very
expensive on the aftermarket though!

I'm sure I received a few $5 to $10 Castle/Town sets for my birthday in 1991
or 1992, but the first set I have a memory of receiving and building was in 1993:

Set No: 6056 Name: Dragon Wagon
*
6056-1 (Inv) Dragon Wagon
97 Parts, 2 Minifigures, 1993
Sets: Castle: Dragon Knights

It's still one of the most nostalgic sets for me, despite how flimsy the
build is. Also one of the greatest names for a Lego set!

‘93 was such a good year for Castle. Fire Breathing Fortress is still one of
my favorite ‘90s sets of all time!

I've got a copy of

Set No: 10123 Name: Cloud City
*
10123-1 (Inv) Cloud City
675 Parts, 7 Minifigures, 2003
Sets: Star Wars: Star Wars Episode 4/5/6
that unfortunately has several cracked minifigs.
I've been trying for a bit to sell it, but I really don't know how much
the imperfect minifigs devalue the set.
If you've got any feedback, I'd love to hear it.

https://www.bricklink.com/store.asp?p=Classicsmiley&itemID=307730878

Thing is, the main draw of the set is Boba & Lando; if the Lando and Boba minifigs
have damage, I would argue that it would deter people from buying the set due
to it being a little lackluster outside of the minifigures, especially with a
price of $3k

I think it would value around $1900 - $2200 due to the damaged minifigures, and
even if you replaced the parts for the cheaper ones, Boba and Lando are the 2
that NEED to be in great condition for the set to sell

You could always list Boba separately and then put the Cloud City up for a lower
price, might get you more money in the long run as well

Good point @Utif. The boba on his own is selling for at least $1500 even if he’s
beat up. I’ve seen him selling for $1700 with chewed up/yellowed legs and dents
on the arms.

Seems like 3k is about what a really nicely preserved copy goes for. One gently
used with some imperfections would likely be a bit under that. The only imperfections
really affecting your value are the cracked Boba arm (~$300), cracked leia torso
(~$100) and torn box.

I'd say somewhere in and around $2500 would be right in range for a fair
value.

Thing is, you might as well buy a new Leia before you sell it. The torso is the
only part of her that’s worth anything. She’s also the least expensive exclusive
figure going for ~$200-$250 Last I checked. The legs came on lost of figs (Chewie,
some figs from adventurers), hair was on the original Padme from ‘99 and the
head was on all the classic Leias from 2000-2004)

Same here. The poll is very much biased. I will be buying many more. In the past,
I've bought some (actually very many...), only to fend bend items, like spears,
swords, most likely damaged not in production buy by "feelers". Knowing that
the quality of parts is now more guaranteed, and the good ones are not all gone,
I'll buy more in stores.

Honestly TLG’s recent changes to things are so pointless. This change is the
literal definition of “ If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.” They make changes that
make no sense and yet they won’t do things the ENTIRE FANDOM wants. Same goes
for the Slave 1 name change in August.

But as you've zilch transactions on BrickLink (and tens of threads about

It’s so I can gather info. I’m trying to eventually get a complete collection

So I’d say no.

By "can I" I mean is it good to buy like this or risky and buying the full figure
at once is safer and better?

Depends on the fig I think. I’ve seen Commander Wolffe, for example, being sold
as a complete figure for $100 when you can part him out and spend half that amount,
maybe even less on a good day.

I am a new-ish store, and I just don't know that much about Star Wars (please

stores devoted to Star Wars Lego. Is it pretty much a requirement to have Star
Wars as part of my inventory in order to get a lot of sales? Or is it overly
saturated already? Just wondering If I have to learn a whole new thing...

Thanks for any advice,

Upstate_Brickz

Of course you can be profitable without Star Wars. The reason why there are so
many stores devoted to it is because you can hardly go anywhere and not see something
Star Wars-related. Star Wars has such a big fanbase and so does LEGO, so people
know that if they put any LEGO Star Wars product up for sale they know that they
will have buyers. I myself am a huge Star Wars fan, so I mainly buy Star Wars.
I feel like Star Wars is one of those themes that “fills your plate” so to speak:
from what I’ve encountered, LSW fans usually don’t buy other themes because of
how much LSW products there are. The same can go for LEGO Harry Potter or LEGO
Marvel/DC.

It’s surprising to me how hard some are to find, even for sets within the last

Please, save them and post them for sale!

I feel like the only instructions people would by would be from a rare set, like
10123. I see the instructions sell for at least $80. You can view the instructions
online for free, but I think it’s the feeling of having something from that set.
Nowadays people will want anything from set 10123.

do you think it should have its name changed??

It is because the person that did the work to add it to the catalogue added the
search terms, maybe to help searching or maybe in case they do another version
in future.

You can submit a change request if you want to, but you'll need to give a
reason why you think it is better to remove the extra terms.

You think that’s bad? Check the names for the Spider-Man 2 Doc Ock figs. They
don’t describe the figure at all. The names make no sense for the particular
figures.

On the original shadow trooper minifig, I noticed that there are variations on
the back of the torso print. One version has a short line and one has a long
line. Is one of the versions exponentially rarer than the other or are their
values similar in price? Mine has the short line if that helps.

Three sw0107s and one sw0107 torso. Luckily I had an extra set of legs at home.

Sorry for the late reply, but have fun with your new car! These cloud city bobas
are getting too expensive!

  Hello Fellow Bricklinkers,

I have got some cheap second hand sets from a seller. I got the Lego Tower of
Orthanc 10237. Th set has a lot of elements on add angles angles and this has
resulted in dust gathering.

Some of the 16 tooth peices have gathered almost half a centimetre of dust. Others
like the floors of the building, (namely the basement) have gathered LAYERS of
dust and even after washing the baseplates the dust is still there.

I have also tried swabbing them with cotton balls.

I really need a way to remove the layers of dust. Anything help will be much
appreciated.

Thanks,
The Cute Giraffe

When I receive a used set, first thing I do is completely disassemble and put
in washing machine. Put all parts in a delicates garment bag and place in washing
machine on delicate setting. Place them on a towel to airdry overnight. Ive washed
several sets this way and the pieces come out looking new.

I have the same problem. My temple of the crystal skull has been sitting on a
shelf for a while and it has a lot of dust on it. It is absolutely covered in
dust. Still trying to figure out the best way to get rid of the dust without
damaging the parts or stickers.

Maybe. But a lot of the pictures LEGO makes of flat silver and pearl gold look
a lot shinier than the real pieces do.

Looks to me the binoculars are flat silver from the picture, which would make
the lightsaber either metallic or chrome in my opinion.

There’s no way. It would cost TLG way to much money to do that, and considering
they NEVER make new molds for Star Wars anymore (phase 2 Cody, accurate clone
pilot helmet, etc.) there’s no way they would go the extra mile to do that.

You can use

It has just enough friction to keep a figure upright and hold it into place without
putting pressure on a stud. You probably have one in your collection to test
out as it's a fairly common piece, in the snowtrooper battle pack as well.

Unfortunately I don’t have that piece, but I’ll try to get one next time I go
on a minifig shopping spree. That’s a really good use of that piece Elkenwood!

No, it was much longer. M&RProductions mentioned it a few months back in one

For those two use a tractor beam to hold them in place.

We designed a custom display case using all Lego parts. Originally designed for
Collectible Minifigures. No dust, no missing accessories. Glass on the front,
door on the back.

The photo is for one of the custom flower vases, but you can see the display
cases for minifigures.

Plan to offer both in our store ...

I just stick mine on a flat baseplate. I have so many figs that I don’t have
the funds to buy 100s of specialized cases for them.

I spent some time for you...

Infos/facts:

I've got the list of the 1261 (as of 06 MAR 2022) Minifigures of the BrickLink
Category Star Wars.

The most expensive for sale is Yoda NY sw0645a, Avg price curr invent: 8341.33$

8 have no price, either not for sale, or marked for Catalog deletion.

Apart those 8:

* Avg price of current Inventory (for sale): 53 229.34$
* Min price of current Inventory (for sale): 31 628.53$

Those prices (espceially Min) won't include:
* taxes,
* seller's fees (PayPal...),
* conversion fees (3/4% if not your currency),
* the fact some of them are sold cheaper because they're in a Super-Lot (with
the other ones more expensive, it's a common disgusting trick),
* AND shipping.

About this, count that a minimum of 100 of them would need tracking+insurance
which will add an important extra.

Add maybe 1000$ of money/envelope lost, PayPal lost battle, lower quality received.
Plus hundreds of hours, not counting running after the "last bits".

And a nice showcase to build that'll probably take a full wall, and a nice
price also.

Now you know.

Thanks! Honestly I might just buy Minifigs from now on. There’s so many Star
Wars figs and I wouldn’t have the money to keep up with sets and all the Star
Wars figs.

Download BrickStore, make you a complete list, get the avg prices, see what it
makes, take decisions on what you want, what is available.

No one can help you really if you don't help yourself

I tried the brickstore method to get this info, but it really does not work well
for the very hard-to-find ones. Some are so hard to find that maybe only a very
few, or even none, sold in the last year or two. I did a very recent manual analysis,
looking on BL and other sites, and found the hardest ones to get are the two
I love NY Yoda figs. For a genuine ones, prepare to pay $3000 to even well more
than that. Also hard to find and expensive are the Chrome Gold C-3PO (~$2000),
and some of the first cloud city ones (Boba, ~2000$, Luke, ~$800). Finch Dallow
(~$700) is also hard to find.
If you want the AT-AT driver with complete triangle helmet, these are super hard
to find, probably also a few $1000, if not way, way more).
By my analysis, if you were to get all figures (~1250) even in used condition,
it will cost well over $30000, plus shipping, to get them all. Tip, for some
of the figures, the prices for new are cheaper than used, so in those case I
used the cheaper price to calculate totals.

At-At pilot with complete triangle helmet? Never heard of that one? What’s the
difference between that and the other versions?

[P=57467c01,22]

Pretty sure removing them from the sprue changes the condition to used, whether
or not the chrome finish is still there and not worn off. I’d recommend selling
it still intact on the sprue.

are the figure will never be rereleased.

Maybe they will go up in value but after all these years from production they
haven’t moved upwards much.
The 2003 version with yellow head may never be very popular due to the non skinlike
color.
I see the Leia with long hair from the second sailbarge is doing really good,
that’s a better version.
So yours aren’t the ones I would bet on.

I know the Slave Leia is one of the only figures where the newest one is the
most valuable. The 2013 version is sometimes upwards of $50, while the other
two are usually around $25 each.

I put in 100 minifigures today which were mostly Star Wars.

My entire store is 10% off until Sunday at midnight central!

Check it out before it sells or the sale ends!

How do you have 21 Mandos?!! Are they all from the microfighter?

I’ll be sure to check it out! Star Wars is my favorite theme and I’m currently
trying to collect every minifig from it so now is a pretty convenient time for
me! Good luck with the sale!

Cheers all.

I see all the time things with an increased price due to some sort of misprint,
marbling or defect, not just in LEGO. Bank notes, coins, stamps.

How many times do you see them ACTUALLY selling for the high prices? And the
condition of the item is still paramount. You can ask any price you want, it
is the final sale price that makes the difference.

Like any collectable, if the misprint is on something no-one collects in the
first place, then it probably won't be worth much more if anything.

Value in the eye of the beholder is the way I would put it. Some people don’t
feel comfortable paying $2,000 for a cloud city boba, so they settle for the
$200 remade version from 75159. Some people think that version is better and
don’t think the original from 10123 is worth it. Someone might think a $10 figure
is better than a $100 figure. Different things suit different people.

A mis-print on a basic Town minifigure for example.

If you had a misprint on a rare Star Wars minifigure such as

Minifig No: sw0105 Name: Lando Calrissian, Cloud City Outfit (Smooth Hair)
*
sw0105 (Inv) Lando Calrissian, Cloud City Outfit (Smooth Hair)
Minifigures: Star Wars: Star Wars Episode 4/5/6

just as a random example, yes, you may be talking some extra money.

Personally, I pay *way* more for things that have flawless prints rather than
misprints. To me, misprints are worthless.

I agree. I have never known the obsession with misprints etc. Wouldn't
you want a perfect minifigure than pay more for one that is not right.

Prototypes etc i understand fully. And marbled parts are cool to collect for
their uniqueness.

Value is in the eye of the beholder i guess.

Then again, it’s a figure who is already very valuable and the misprint is one
of a kind for that particular figure.

Well, I’ve got a light up lightsaber Vader with a misprinted face. The print
is printed way too low on the head and as far as I know it’s one of a kind. That
could definitely boost its value.

You can probably get a better printed head for less than $5. I don't think
your misprint is worth much of anything. Alignment errors are very commonplace.
If the print were completely mirrored or on a different color head, then that
would be something. As it is, the value of your figure is in the rest of it,
not the head (misprint or not).

Hi everyone! I’m trying to round our my collection of Indiana Jones figs and
I was wondering if anyone had a full collection for sale. I have most of the
Crystal Skull figures ( only missing grave robber) and own the rarest figure
( Mola Ram) but I’m working towards a complete LEGO Indiana Jones minifig collection.
