I can’t post pictures taken on my iPad or iPhone to BrickLink due to the size
of the file..

Is there a way this can be fixed at bricklinks end?

Is it possible to add 'keep order open' as a status on order screen..
As a reminder that the customer doesn't want an invoice yet?

Simply adding it to the drop down list for manual use would be good, but adding
automatic functionality and a button at the buyers end to request an invoice
would be ideal.

This would help me with putting away stock and a failsafe if something goes wrong
with power or Internet connection during the part out...
Plain text format including remarks would be amazing!!

Can we please have a print button/feature within the part out function as those
of us who keep records outside of Bricklink have to spend a great deal of time
recording the values set for each of the elements of a set - this is both time
consuming and sorely out of date.

There are ways around this using emailing filters on recipt of the mail.

That's not what this section is for... This section is for changing the master
parts lost of the set permanently on bricklink's system...

To remove it from your store inventory

Simply part out " -1 " of the set in the same way that you added it to your inventory...

In Inventories Requests, pwd4400 writes:
Please make changes to the following inventory:

Set No: 75004 Name: Z-95 Headhunter
*
75004-1 (Inv) Z-95 Headhunter
362 Parts, 3 Minifigures, 2013
Sets: Star Wars: Star Wars The Clone Wars

* Delete 1 Part 75004stk01 (Not Applicable) Sticker for Set 75004 - (12970/6022784)

Comments from Submitter:
Please delete ALL(the entire set) the parts from set from my inventory, the set number is 75004 Z-95 Headhunter. I didn't mean to part this set out.
Thank you and please advise once this is completed so I can reopen my store. Thank you.
I didn't know what to put of the "inv item id" so I just added a number so the form would submit

I noticed eBay have implemented a system of pre-paying import taxes on international
orders..
The person who was a bit disgruntled about the charges would have got charged
the VAT plus the royal mails 'handling fee'
If you use eBay you do not get charged the handling fee..

I assume the buyer was a new member to bricklink- it can be a bit of a shock
getting a package stopped by customs and tax added... The simple disclaimer you
mention is the MINIMUM that should be implemented, bigger sellers on bricklink
might even appreciate something like eBay's system to provide customers worldwide
with a 'what you see is what you pay' checkout system.. I don't know
if there is a website available to manually to prepay customs fees on parcels...
Removing the £8 or whatever fee that is added as a 'processing fee'

I posted an associated topic a few weeks ago.. To be able to enable tickboxes
on any given page and then a droplist of options to manipulate the selected items...
Somehow applying this function to any page on brick link would enable a whole
lot of applications of the function

In Suggestions, nfwego writes:
Just went through trying to buy a few hundred pieces for a project. First...there
really should be a function to be able to show what pieces you need for a certain
part of a set...rather than the whole set. ie...some sets have multiple buildings
and maybe you just want to buy the parts for one building.

Also, once you have selected what pieces you want from that set to add them all
at once to a want list instead of one at a time.

Also...there really should be a function to show you your best buying options.
for example...most of my parts could be bought at one store. the last few pieces
at another. But maybe if I could have split the order differently, it could
have been cheaper. There doesn't seem to be much for shopping search options.

Just some thoughts. If there are already answers to these questions and I have
just overlooked them...feel free to let me know. thanks.

Just to elaborate... These functions would be really used full for adding used
parts from bulk...

For out of the box parting out sets the traditional method is great...

I'm not sure how to describe in words what I am thinking about:

I think it would be good if when searching part of the catalogue there could
be a button to add tick boxes to a few items at a time...

For example...

Click on minifigures, series 3, click 'add tick boxes'

Then from the 16 different sets you could tick a few of the sets, then presented
with a set of options (list, add to wanted list, part out, maybe other options)

For example:

This could be good as if you click on minifig parts, minifig heads... Then add
the tick boxes...

A pile of used heads could be sorted in a very short time using the picture
guides...

Then: bricks, 2x4

Once you click the tickbox on something with a selectable colour it could add
a drop list of colours...

So you could add a few of that item...

I'm imagining the output/editable section coming up pretty much exactly like
a parted out set... Verification then bulk list....

I'm aware there is software that can do this already... But I use an ipad..
And I really do want bricklink to be self contained for stuff like this....

Easy to solve...

More moderators, a few from each timezone, with the ability to delete posts...
(Or hide them from view for a higher up level mod/admin to review)

Also these moderators should have the ability to put a temporary hold on stores
and a private email address or phone number for emergency use...

Bricklink is great, but isn't as effective against this type of stuff as
other sites I use for other interests...

Just under my post you will see about 15 cancelled messages. How about considering
blocking new buyers to so many posts per day in the forums too? Maybe not, if
someone is in need of a fake passport

That was ridiculous.
Chris

Just like how admin recently implemented limits on newer buyers sending messages,
I am not saying impose anything that would restrict actual buyers from posting.
Only a restriction that would limit the spam posters. So a delay between posts
or better yet, the spammer used the same title over and over again. Maybe make
it so a person can't re-post the exact same message over and over again similar
to how Craigslist combats spammers.

That must be different in different countries, if I click on the original payment
from a buyer, I can send a refund back for any amount, they refund a proportionate
amount from the fee I paid to receive and from the amount I actually ended up
with... There isn't a 30cent/pence difference as they calculate that as the
first part of the payment and refund from the last part of the figure... If that
makes any sense?

It's a shame that PayPal keeps 30 cents of any refund, regardless of the amount

How many times a week would our multi-billionaire owner take a trip to the bank
to pay in is stack of $10 cheques?

It would cost more than the PayPal fees amount to monthly to start up his helicopter.

Your naive conclusion that they care about the PayPal fees seems to be fuelled
by some kind of anti PayPal attitude..

Anywhere online that creates that much traffic through PayPal probably gets a
discount anyway..

Parting out a new lego set can be good if other people need the parts to use
in a model they are making.
You need a bit of spare time, a few plastic baggies and a clear work surface

Parting out brands like best-lock sets can be good if you have spare space in
your bin.. The easiest way to part out generic brand sets is to take a large
bin to your local toy shop and put the boxed sets directly into the bin..

Parting out a megabloks set is more complicated,,.. You have to individually
melt each piece before you throw them away, thus rendering them slightly more
difficult to connect together if anyone finds them later on...
