The system that Bricklink uses? I really do not want to use my Paypal account.
Thanks

Hello All,

This is a badly conceived idea that should be reversed.

If a seller files parts under part number some part numbers are going to change
therefore locating the part may be an issue.

It is dumbing down the catalogue buyers will not be able to find the correct
parts they are looking for.

A buyer orders two parts and could be sent two different variants.

Parting out sets is going to create multiple listings of the same part in stores
as the comments field is ignored when combining listings.

Hopefully BL will reconsider before it is to late???????????

Regards all,

Joe.

Stating if the sheet is complete or incomplete would be useful for the price
guide.

Sticker sheets that appear in multiple sets are an issue possibly the number
should be the first set that used that sheet, any subsequent set that uses the
same sticker sheet could be referenced back to the first set or sheet number.

Hello,

Just a thought make it simple keep the answers to yes or no, allow the post to
run for a set time and review the results.

The next catalog project consists of replacing all current photos of minifigures
with photos of the same minifigures on sport bikes. You can see this on the
Catalog Roadmap:

Okay, not really. The (Other) project is winding down and next we're looking
at implementing some, if not all, of LordSkylark's suggestions. We need
to decide together how many of these (or maybe all of them?) we want to tackle.
Let's discuss them.

Reorganizing dual-colored molded arms. YES

My take: I'm good with this and it has been requested before. It will reduce
catalog entries from 23 to 11 entries for straight two-color arms. It will take
some work and I'm not sure about the exact logistics, but it can be done.

Adding individual decorated hips and legs. NO

My take: This is currently against policy. Policies can be changed, though.
My question would be this: is it necessary? Does anyone feel a burning need
to sell these parts? Have your buyers been requesting them? How many support
this and how strongly?

Adding individual Technic figure parts. NO

My take: currently against policy, a policy which is not adhered to considering
that at least one of these is already in the catalog. I see little harm in it,
but again: how many want this and how badly?

Changing titles of certain dual-sided heads to reflect this fact and splitting
heads into single-side print and dual-side print categories.
YES

My take: I think these are good ideas, but am always willing to listen to dissenters.

Reorganizing/renumbering certain mini doll legs to reflect a change in production
methods.
YES

My take: I would like to see a detailed explanation of the exact issue to understand
it better. I believe one was posted somewhere, but it would be great if it could
be posted one last time in this thread so that we all have an idea of what this
would entail.

Splitting decorated/non-decorated minifigure legs. YES

My take: This one was not on the list for the original project, but I'm adding
it. There are over 1,400 items in the Minifig, Legs Assembly category and I
find it exceedingly difficult to find non-decorated legs in all that mess. Does
anyone else besides me feel like this would be a good split?

allow sellers to purchase from their own store.
Thank You.

It is better to test first than have to blunder in the dark on a live site!

The preview site is good to get familiar with new features before they are implemented
in the ‘real’ world, but is always a snapshot of the past. I need to be able
to verify my instant check-out settings at the moment I adjust them. So it would
be nice to be able to shop from yourself, or at least go through the order process
(except the final push on the order button).

I will add this as a wish in our project management software and will talk to
the team about it this week.

I know it's already been hashed over and over that sellers want to be able
to buy in their own store, and, for reasons I still cannot fathom, BL has refused
to allow it. But that isn't why I'm posting here.

The real problem is that I'm unable to test my store settings from a customer's
perspective. This is %$#%@# ridiculous. No store on the planet has a policy
that stops employees and management from taking items to a register and going
through check out process (and then void the sale, or abandon it before finishing).
Now this new instant check out has me setting up a system that I'm barred
from using without going to someone else's store to experience their *different*
configuration.

I guess I need to set up a shill account in violation of BL's terms just
so I can make sure my store works as I intend?

Stuart

I couldn't agree more! Yesterday, I had a buyer tell me the only shipping
option they saw in my store was "Hold Order Open". I've always had two, "Order
Is Complete" and "Hold Order Open". I didn't think too much of it, until
it happened again today. I went to try and get far enough in the checkout process
to see what options I saw for shipping options, but no such luck. I eliminated
the "Hold Order Open" option altogether. I'm hoping buyers can now see the
"Order is Complete" shipping option, or they won't be able to fully checkout.
It would be really nice to see how things work in the flesh rather than through
a friend's account, or a friendly buyer letting you know when things are
going on.
