| Most of the lots in my store must be purchased in bulk of 10 pieces. I received
a message from a buyer stating that he cannot purchase any lot from my store
that contains less than 10 pieces because it mandates that he buys 10 pieces
but there's less than 10 in the lot.
I'm not sure what problem he is having or how to help him, because I receive
orders from buyers who have purchased bulk 10 lots with less than 10 total parts
in the lot without any problem.
Thanks,
Andrew

I think it's been like that for awhile (at least for me).

| Does anyone have this set or photos that it could be determined if the skateboard
is stickered or printed, and then have the skateboard added to the inventory?
Or should the minifigure be deleted from the set so that the set can be flagged
as "not inventoried" so that people are aware that this set is not (otherwise
it will never show up as part of the "not inventoried" sets. (It always
irked me that this set got approved with an incomplete inventory... And it's
never been fixed to this day, probably because it never shows up in the "not
inventoried" sets.)

Can you make up your mind please, as a current part it is much better to have
a numeric part number in my opinion.
I have one trans light-blue in stock, will leave it in my database as 41669 for

|
This part did not have a part number molded into it when it was first introduced.
BrickLink’s ‘xNNN’ numbers are temporary designations for parts with unknown
design numbers. This was recently changed back to x346, which is very frustrating,
but there is a reason behind it.
|
Hopefully they retain the real part number when it's known, instead of continuing
to use the obsolete arbitrary X numbers.

Is your collection limited to retail colors, or did you track down all known

If they are a more expensive or higher demand part, I list them on bricklink
for 50% the average price. This is usually minifigure parts or bricks, as lots
of people use damaged bricks for fillers.
The rest, I usually sell extremely cheap, or give away, to familes/children.

| The inventory for
is incomplete. The skateboard piece is not included. Shouldn't this set be
marked in some way, or the entire inventory removed, so that it shows up in the
list of sets whose inventories need to be done? Otherwise, if someone is interested
in helping finish up uninventoried sets, this one is never going to come up,
even if they wanted to help finish it. (I can't do it, because I don't
have the skateboard, nor can I easily tell if its sickered or not.)
Also, should the round backdrop be part of the inventory too? If so, then the
other comcon set needs that piece added too to be complete.

Are these actually the same item? Can anyone verify?
If so, they should be combined.
If not, then they need to be distinguished more clearly by name.
4189429pb03 - should add "(Passage of Jung-Chi)"
4189440pb05 - should retained "(Dragon Fortress)" (rather than the "(China")
that I suggested)

it is (most of the time it is). Because I would like someone to do the same to
me as well.
In Selling, kuschelig writes:
| What can be done with excessive prices on BL?
When listing parts, I usually go by the current and past 6 month averages to
gauge what to list my parts for.
It seems I am more frequently coming across parts that are listed for insane
$ compared to average costs. For example, part 47398 in dark bluish gray. There
is one for over $8K !!!
I looked at the rest of their inventory and I assume this is a typo as the rest
of their inventory seems reasonably priced. From personal experience, I know
mistakes happen. I've had other users let me know when they see something
like this in my inventory, and I just found one today on my own - $70.08 for
a part that I intended to be $.08.
Is there a mechanism BL can put in place to find and either notify sellers of
these instances or unlist them to keep the average prices more accurate?
I often sell music on a website called discogs.com and when I've had a typo
on a listing ($1200 instead of $12.00), the item gets flagged as a violation
until the price is corrected. Would be nice if the same could happen on BL.
On the flipside, I've always wondered if there is something nefarious going
on like money laundering or inflating inventory values for tax situations. I
have seen some of these outrageous prices in the past 6 months sold, so wonder
who in their right mind would spend $20 on parts that usually sell for only $.10.
Maybe that is from watching Ozark for so long!!

company sold it to you, they cannot further control how and to whom you sell

How often, over the course of a year, do poor quality parts sell in your store?
Here are just a few examples:
- Heavily yellowed bricks or plates
- Bricks with heavy scratches or significant bite marks
- Minifigures with cracked torsos, cracks in the arms and/or broken helmets
Usually parts like these are sold at great discounts, but I wonder if anyone
would even want them, let alone buy them.
For me, I throw out parts like this once I get a replacement in better condition.
I certainly wouldn’t buy anything like this even at a big discount.
Thoughts?

I usually sell damaged minifigure parts (unless they are less than 0.10), almost
all damaged bricks, and any part that is expensive. Otherwise most other things
get tossed into a damaged bag.

them for stupidly inflated prices. These kinds of people do NOT love Lego.
They are filth and anyone reselling one of these sets should be immediately banned
from this site as punishment. Not just for this set, but because they do it
with every set, creating false scarcity to drive up the price. Once again, these
people should not be allowed on a site for people you love Lego, because they
don't, they love money. Let them trade stocks like the rest of the parasites
on the planet.
|
Scalpers are not the cause of this issue, TLG itself is the cause. They create
limited edition sets and allow them to be sold out in matter of hours.
Blame TLG for creating limited edition sets! Why do they do it? To boost sales
and profit, no other reason exists for limited editions. They don't love
Lego, the love money.
