| Can we please get a field in the my inventory page for a minimum stock level
for each item and can that please be used to trigger an automatic entry to a
dedicated wantlist as soon as the re-order level is hit?
So for example what I would want is say in red, I would like a minimum
inventory to be in my store of 30. I have 60 at present. An order comes through
for 40, and immediately that part in that colour gets added to my dedicated
wantlist for inventory.
The benefit would be that it is simply a wantlist that needs to be checked daily
and not inventory levels in brickstock or some other off-site inventory management
system. Also obviously easier to re-order as needed, especially for sellers like
me with very long lead-times.
Of course, the best would be if there could be a complete inventory management
on BL as to which this would just a small part of because I really find it frustrating
that inventory management on-site is essentially just the selling price and quantity
available, but... baby steps

are at present listed in the catalog as the minifig with headgear in the case
of the first two, and a backpack accesory that is built up from parts for the
third.
As the minifigs are used interchangeably in the each of the three sets they each
come from, should the catalog entry not rather reflect the minifig without any
headgear or accessories? The images below are from the instructions in each of
the sets, where it is shown that the minifig is used as a base entry without
any accessories or headgear.
It is my understanding that the figs were originally listed to reflect only the
minifig as it appears in the first of any of the three sets that it will be used
for.
Alternatively, if the catalog is meant to be showing a minifig complete as per
the instructions, should all the accessories from all three sets any one minifig
represents, not then be the complete catalog entry?

| Can another problem order category be created? We've got NRS, NSS and NPB. Seems
we also need Order Not Complete. There is already an order item removal request
for sellers that don't, for one reason or another, have all the parts that may
be on a valid order. It has been my experience that this is a little used function,
sometimes much to my dismay, and that some sellers merely prefer to straight
refund or issue a coupon, however, there appear to be some instances where sellers
do nothing, including not communicating with the buyer.
In such cases, buyers should have the ability to make it a problem order with
the same provisos as NRS/NSS. Clearly buyers can't underpay, they can either
pay the whole amount on the invoice or nothing at all, there is no middle ground
or 99.9999% payment. Wouldn't it be more fair if buyers can be placed in the
same position as regards the actual physical items they order? Is it really fair
for a seller to continually not have a few dollars worth of parts not shipped,
for which payment was made? Think of it this way: if a seller habitually do this,
it can turn into a nice profit center by itself, with hardly any recourse for
the buyer.
Sure, paypal chargebacks, SNAD claims and criminal action can help, and there
seem to be a concerted effort from Admin to weed out the scammers, but that type
of recourse does not help the buyer when the seller merely ignores a request
for small amounts or few parts until the time to take the above actions have
lapsed. The idea is to be fair. If buyers are willing to pay the full invoice,
surely full 100% value can be expected? If the seller does not have all the items
in stock, that in itself is already problem (see the ToS). It can only get compounded
with small value missing items. I know the frustration of not getting what you've
paid for, and your complaints, nice requests, e-mails and eventual neutral or
negative feedback, disappearing into the black hole of blissful ignorance.
Obviously, a fair and reasonable buyer would not expect a seller to ship 1 little
part halfway around the world. But, a fair and reasonable buyer can at least
expect a seller to communicate or in some way acknowledge that there is a problem,
and not just be ignored. If and when this happens, sellers should be penalized,
as it is just plain not fair to the site and its members. There might not be
a great many of these occurring, but the maxim for potato chip manufacturers
always holds: one glassy potato ruins the whole batch. BL and our experience
should not be ruined. Besides, I want bricks, not money!
Please forgive an old grumpy if this has been previously discussed, beaten to
death or generally just ignored.

| Since 1 January 2011, the new set of international shipping terms have been in
place for use (these are known as INCOTERMS 2010, see the link below for full
detail).
In essence, these terms are now applicable to domestic as well as international
shipping, and is furthermore also applicable to all modes of transport, whereas
in the past it was used solely for international shipping by sea.
As with the standards applied on the site for currencies, shouldn't some standard
be adopted for shipping as well? INCOTERMS have the following benefits:
1. The point of where the risk transfers from seller to buyer is clearly defined;
2. The point at which insurance becomes applicable to the transaction is clearly
defined;
3. The party responsible for insurance is clearly defined;
4. The party responsible for costs is clearly defined.
5. Each party to the transaction's duties are clearly defined insofar as shipping
is concerned.
All that needs to be done is that site standardizes the shipping terms. There
should in reality only be two terms that need be used - EXW and FCA (DDP might
be of use where local taxes are an issue). Those terms can be expanded, but it
leaves the entire choice as to how shipping should occur, the insurance, carriage
cost, delivery and duties solely in the hands of the buyer.
As we should all be careful in dealing with scammers and other assorted misfits,
we should at all times be aware of where the risks in our transactions lie. This
could be a help in cases where buyers disputes the veracity of sellers' claims
as to shipping. Surely if all the options and choices are made by buyers and
the risks are clearly defined according to internationally accepted best practice,
this would reduce the overall risk both buyers and sellers face in dealing with
non face to face transactions.
A sample store term would be: We ship FCA from our named post office. Should
you require proof of shipping and/or tracking and/or insurance on your order,
please indicate your preference on the checkout page.
On the checkout page, where the radio button for insurance is, add two more,
one for proof of shipping and one for tracking.
Obviously some of the terms would not ever applicable, but again, it leaves the
choices to buyers and sellers as to what should be included in the transaction,
based on a standard that can be used throughout the site and is easily understandable
and easily incorporated into the help pages.

| This might mean nothing, and might be just a personal pain in the ass, but can
the Bricklink ToS please be revised to force list prices to include paypal and
other payment processing charges?
Example - Search item, find store with correct quantity and reasonable price.
Go to Store, item listed at EUR1.00, find terms page, store only accept paypal
or IBAN, so far so good, little bit further down, store charges 4% paypal fee
and IBAN fee is for buyer. WTF!!!  Climb screaming down from the
wall, close store window, restart search etc etc.
On a more serious note, if a seller is never going to charge the price he lists
at, surely it makes no sense to allow sellers to list at that price? Some might
argue that its the sellers prerogative to add whatever he wants, and the payment
charge is the same as shipping and handling. Its actually not, as the paypal
charge refers to the entire order and will make the shipping also more expensive,
same with IBAN and other payment processing charges.
If seller A lists $100 with a 4% paypal surcharge that is never disclosed except
for the store terms, and seller B lists $101 with no surcharges and other funnies,
surely seller B is not only the more honest, but his price is actually the price
that is going to be charged, whereas seller A is actually going to charge $104,
which makes him more expensive than seller B, makes a mockery of the price guide,
gives him an unfair advantage in the listings, makes the term "only charges actual
shipping costs" utterly stupid and is generally a waste of my time.
Try to think of the list price as an advertised price - if that is the price,
surely you would expect that this is what you would pay upon visiting the store?
Does this practice not skew the price guide and sales histories? And shouldn't
the list prices give every seller a reasonable chance of his store being visited,
without the possibility of some back-door charging actually leading buyers astray?
I've seen sale items being listed at higher prices than normal listings, until
you visit the normal price stores , add the 4% and then realise you've been had.
Can buyers please have the expectation that they pay the price they see, not
some back-door inflated price  ?
