Since we, as sellers, can't control buyer behavior, and refunding payments
like this costs us money and hassle and possibly a lost sale, there should be
a way we can manually submit the tax payment to BrickLink.

I know, very complicated... but an obvious solution.

Can the seller issue a credit for the amount already paid, then send an invoice
for a nominal amount? I realize this wouldn't get the full tax amount but
it would (in theory at least) allow the payment status to be paid, and the order
to be marked as shipped.

Can I cancel an international order if the shipping and handling is out of my
price range. It is not shown with a purchase.

You can request to cancel but ultimately only the seller can actually cancel
the order.

most stores in and out of America that I visit. I message the sellers but usually
don't get an answer back.

I honestly wonder whether these stores are still active.

Thanks for the kind greeting! I'm not sure what you mean by intent. I assume
you meant intend in which case I do intend or at least hope to sell all the sets
in my store!

I think he's suggesting that your prices are high - at least one of your
sets is listed at the max price, which is a bit unusual for a new store with
a very small selection.

I was parting one this eve from a friend's set from 2012, #3315. The
set has Light Bluish Gray in it. However, some of the 2x2 plate and 1x2 tile
were clearly different from the LBG. So, I pulled a piece from the older Light
Gray, it a shade different but closer to LG than LBG. Would this have been possible
during that year?

There definitely would not have been any light gray in a set from 2012, only
light bluish gray. And there are definitely color variations there - additionally,
there are some LBG elements that have a hint of translucency, I guess because
not enough dye was added to the plastic.

I just checked out the new a-frame cabin (I know, it’s been out for a while now
lol) and I for one think that it is a complete disrespect to the original. I
supported it for the amazing design with the big pine trees, and I just thought
the whole design was awesome! And then TLG comes and ruins it and makes it look
like a creator 3-in-one set….. what do you guys think?

I like the production version better (although the trees look a bit spare).

Hi. Kind of new to the world of designing unique Lego models. I am designing
a Lego model that includes a large change in elevation (a large hill, basically).
Although I could build the substructure of the hill out of Lego bricks, it would
take a massive number of them and am trying to keep costs reasonable. I am thinking
of building a sub structure out of bass wood that would go underneath that section
of the model, with the ground in Lego bricks above it. (so from the outside,
it would look like it was 100% Lego). Is that considered cheating? Or is it
commonplace to build foundation supports out of non-Lego material?

There are models at LEGOLAND parks that use steel for support so why not wood?

Do you show estimated shipping at checkout? That would probably clear up a lot

The confusing part is often down to tax and should it be included or not. If
a US buyer buys from a US seller, they will have a tax based on the buyer's
state. If a UK or EU buyer's buys from the same seller, a different tax rate
is paid. These then lead to different prices for the same parts at the same base
price. Which should I see? Prices paid or what I would have had to pay - their
tax rate or my tax rate.

Prices shown to US buyers don't include tax - I guess that's one difference
between sales tax and VAT

Anyone who knows how BL treats shops with a lot limit when it comes to buying
from a wanted list?
I get the impression that shops that have a lot limit are not selected or included
in the the algorithm "Buy All".

BL Admin answer preferred.

No one who can shine a light on this?

I didn't answer because you said you preferred an admin answer. I'm not
sure what you mean by "lot limit" above. Do you mean *any* lot limit,
like 600 or 1000? I can confirm from my own buying that shops with a lot limit
that is high are not excluded from "Buy All". I just tested with one
of my wanted lists and not only were stores with lot limits not excluded from
"Buy All", they were not excluded from "Auto-select" either.

  Hi folks,

I just checked out the reopened pick a brick shop on LEGO's official website.
They reopened after winter break and increased the amount of variety a lot.
Still not every kind of part available, but quiet a lot.
Looks like LEGO become a serious competitor in selling individual bricks.
I compared some prices. Some are way cheaper, some more expensive than BL average.
Gonna be interesting future for BL sellers I guess.
What do you think about? Do Lego offer this service also for US market?

Yes, we also have access to pick a brick

Aside from adding up each order, one by one, is there a way to discover how much
in sales I had last year? I'm just not seeing anything.

Easiest way is to download your orders (next to mass drive through button) in
CSV or Excel format and it is totaled at the bottom.

https://www.bricklink.com/orderExcel.asp?orderType=received

Then do this and click "Download My Orders"

This seller has EVERY part that PAB offers, for a very small price, in huge quantities.
He sells nothing else, no sets, no minifigs, only parts available right now on
Pick A Brick section.

He has in his terms that orders will take 10 days to process, 2 days to invoice
and so on.
It is obvious orders for parts that he gets, he will turn around and buy on lego.com,
wait for it to get to him and THEN he will ship it to the buyer. He does not
have these parts on hand.

Is this something BrickLink and its community should allow?

What do you think?
