I have no idea what BrickLink did on their side. There was no communication at
all about an upcoming change in login procedure towards me.

We have to wait for BrickLink to respond here: either they roll back the change
that broke BrickStore's login or they need to give me a technical explanation
on how this needs to be done from now on.

Robert

PS: Changing the user agent does not help.

Does anyone have the same Problem?

What do I need to do?

Thanks for helping.

  Order downloaded has buyer information, shown by click a button.

After save it and reopen, the button disappeared. Is the buyer info lost or can
be accessed by some other means?

Order information is not saved. The button is only accessible when importing
the order (so just re-import to get the info back).
As to why: orders change and it would be very confusing to have stale order info
data saved in a file.

I couldn't find a trailing line break at the end of the name, but I cleared
it out and readded it. Let me know if it is still a problem.

That seemed to have done the trick.

Thanks!

Brickstore's DB update runs daily at 5am CET (for the last 20 years).

While you are using an "outdated" DB, you might send PG requests for
item ids that no longer exist on BrickLink and that's why BL reports "no
PG data available".

I just ran a manual DB rebuild and everything is working again.

This is just how Brickstore works -- you normally don't notice it because
there's only a handful of changes each day.

TL;DR: Extras → Update database / if this doesn't help wait until 5am CET
and retry.

  As you can see, it's all over the place and it only happens on Bricklink.
I think it's my OS because I used different browsers and all did the same
thing but I could be wrong.

On another note, that icky font is called "Tacoma, Arial" so at least
I know what font to avoid when I go to write something up.

If you are on Ubuntu or Debian, the easiest way to fix this is to remove the
"wine-fonts" package (this package installs an ugly, fake Tahoma font,
because the original Microsoft font cannot be distributed).

https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/wine1.2/+bug/412195

If you do need wine (and thus wine-fonts), you're screwed and need to copy
over a real Tahoma font from a Windows system.

They are working on it now.

UPDATE 2: the datacenter guys were hopeful to get it fixed until this evening

it tomorrow morning...

I'm currently looking into showing all applicable PCCs in BrickStore's
item info box.
Nearly all entries in BL's PCC database are parts, except these 6 Minifigs:

PCC: 6152347

Minifig No: 3899pb006 Name: Chip Potts (Minifigure, Utensil Cup) (6152347)
*
3899pb006 Chip Potts (Minifigure, Utensil Cup) (6152347)
Minifigures: Disney: Disney Princess: Beauty and the Beast
White

PCC: 6212893

Minifig No: 27383pb01 Name: Duplo Figure, Disney Princess, Chip Potts (Duplo Utensil Cup with Stud Inside) (6212893)
*
27383pb01 Duplo Figure, Disney Princess, Chip Potts (Duplo Utensil Cup with Stud Inside) (6212893)
Minifigures: DUPLO: Disney: Disney Princess: Beauty and the Beast
White

PCC: 6212894

Minifig No: 35735pb01 Name: Duplo Figure, Disney Princess, Mrs. Potts (Duplo Utensil Teapot) (6212894)
*
35735pb01 Duplo Figure, Disney Princess, Mrs. Potts (Duplo Utensil Teapot) (6212894)
Minifigures: DUPLO: Disney: Disney Princess: Beauty and the Beast
White

PCC: 6288534

Minifig No: 38014pb01 Name: Chip Potts (Minifigure, Utensil Teacup) (6288534)
*
38014pb01 Chip Potts (Minifigure, Utensil Teacup) (6288534)
Minifigures: Disney: Disney Princess: Beauty and the Beast
White

PCC: 6131197

Minifig No: col339 Name: Baby / Infant - with Stud Holder on Back with Smiling Face and Small Eyes Pattern (6131197)
*
col339 Baby / Infant - with Stud Holder on Back with Smiling Face and Small Eyes Pattern (6131197)
Minifigures: Collectible Minifigures: Series 15 Minifigures
Dark Tan

PCC: 6193930

Minifig No: frnd279 Name: Baby / Infant - with Stud Holder on Back with Smiling Face and Large Eyes Pattern (Baby Ola) (6193930)
*
frnd279 Baby / Infant - with Stud Holder on Back with Smiling Face and Large Eyes Pattern (Baby Ola) (6193930)
Minifigures: Friends
Yellowish Green

These being Minifigs isn't the problem, but them having a color that is not
(Not Applicable) is, as the Minifigs item type is colorless by definition.
I could special-case these minifigs-with-color PCCs and rewrite them as having
no color in the BrickStore database, but I think it would be better to have their
PCC entries match the rest of the BrickLink catalog.

Thanks for looking into this,
Robert

  15 digits are a joke with regard to modern security recommendations

The 15-character limit is an existing limitation on BrickLink passwords and has
not changed. However, we will continue to increase security on our platform and
will communicate about any new security features as they become available.

It seems like you can use more than 15 characters using the "Reset password"
function, which in turn breaks BrickStore that only accepts 15 characters (users
were confused in the past, so I added the same character limitation in BrickStore)
This would also make it impossible to later change the password on BL's account
info page...

See: https://github.com/rgriebl/brickstore/issues/787

Should I add the info in Brickstore in the following place?

Nearly every UI element in BrickStore has a Tooltip, if you hover your mouse
over it. That password field has a quite lengthy one.
Read it, then decide if you want the convenience of a saved password or not.
The choice is yours.

This is now fixed - an up-to-date database was just generated an hour ago.

This time, this wouldn't have helped.

Hi

BrickStore's database regeneration run just found out that set

Set No: 76991 Name: Tails' Workshop and Tornado Plane
*
76991-1 (Inv) Tails' Workshop and Tornado Plane
325 Parts, 3 Minifigures, 2023
Sets: Sonic the Hedgehog
has a few lots where the quantity is 0 (and it didn't like that )

I think that's the first set ever that has this problem.

Thanks for looking into this!

This is a known problem with the BrickLink API, that only BL can fix:

https://github.com/rgriebl/brickstore/issues/675

I had reported it to the BL developers, but have not received an answer so far.
