I bought a Lego bundle a couple of days ago, quite a good deal for a large amount
of loose Lego.

There were a few bits still made up, I've come to take a couple of them apart
and found that someone has glued them together.

Is there a market for a glued set? if not are there any suggestions as to how
to get it apart without completely destroying the pieces.

One of them is a ninjano set which i'm not to bothered about but the main
one is 76052-1

Set No: 76052 Name: Batman Classic TV Series - Batcave
*
76052-1 (Inv) Batman Classic TV Series - Batcave
2488 Parts, 9 Minifigures, 2016
Sets: Super Heroes: Batman Classic TV Series
I'm not sure if it's complete and think I'm going to struggle to
see if all the bits are there as I can't take it apart.

Any ideas?

Frankly, as a LEGO New parts seller I'm very concerned, that'll make
things sooo complicated, to say the least

Interesting. I've had the same problem on occasion listing parts. I get to
the screen to enter values and it has seemingly scrolled on its own and selected
an entirely different part. I've almost listed things I didn't have due
to this, and I'm sure I probably have too, because things come up sold that
I don't remember every having and subsequently cannot find. Ironically the
refund today was for such a part. It also sold in a non existant color, so a
double mistake (had I actually listed something and messed up). No doubt too
big of an error for me to have simply typo'd.

It comes in spurts. Sometimes years inbetween.

Crystal

I’ve also noticed it does it on the wanted lists, I’ve put in an amount of how
many I have, then scroll down the page and enter a few more, when I’ve gone back
to check after saving, the inputted quantities are different. I tried it out
and if you don’t click away from the box it will change the amounts.
I now click away from each input box at the bottom of the screen before scrolling
down so it doesn’t change.

I have also noticed that on listing parts you can’t scroll the screen and you
end up scrolling through the description box until you click the anywhere else
on the page.

I have a copy of the book, along with the minifig that goes in it which is why
I was asking to have it updated on here, I had to google and look at other selling
sites to confirm the minifig was correct as unfortunately the part that holds
the figure has torn and it had gone walkabout but I found it in amongst some
other minifigs.

The book is 9781465466709 and the minifig that goes with it is SW0503

sw0503 (Inv) Special Forces Commander
Minifigures: Star Wars: Star Wars Yoda Chronicles

That would make it appearing in 5 books and not 4 as listed.

Many thanks.

Do you have a copy of the book, or can you at least confirm the contents via
a YouTube review?

I have had 1x8 tiles, 4x6 plates, 2x8 plates, the curved slope 2 x 1 x 1 1/3
with Recessed Stud, to name a few, break even when being super careful in taking
them apart all in dark red, there was a few years when dark red as well as reddish
brown were very brittle.

I broke my first LEGO piece today. I’ve never actually broken one myself, I’ve
just seen the occasional broken part in a bulk brick acquisition. I had heard
that reddish-brown was problematic, but this was a dark red Slope, Curved 2
x 1 x 2/3. It broke in half when I tried to pull it off a 2 x 4 plate! I needed
2 of them for the top of an arch thing I am making, and I only had 3 in my whole
collection! (Only 2 now.) So luckily I had exactly one to spare. But it kinda
startled me because this kind of thing has never happened to me before!

The only Dark Red pieces to break on me were 2x4s rolled over with an office
chair.

Currently sorting through my 2012 collection and only 5 Reddish Brown pieces
have snapped!

Ok, I get they are listed in the alternate section to cover the holes of the
alternate 4x4 double inverted slope, but what do you use to bulk out the slope
when you put them together? I have got all the parts listed have nothing left
over and was short 8 2x4 plates, I'm using the double inverted slopes without
the holes they are the same dimensions.
Or are we meant to use the medium blue 1x2 plates that are put in the middle
of the block for no reason at all!!

Yes.

In the old version, they used the slope without holes and the 1x2 plates on the
ends, below the bricks with side studs.

When they added holes to the slopes (or did they remove the holes? ),
they had to fill them because they show very much.
So they added the white 2x4 plates and moved the 1x2 plates in this useless position
(add, never remove).
And they needed 2x4 because there’s 3 holes to cover in white and the 1x2 plates
are blue.

So, if you have the old version: don’t use the 2x4 plates there, use the 1x2
plates instead.

Does anybody have a copy of the other version of instructions?

Nope, new one only here.

Thanks for the reply, I did wonder why they were putting the blue 1x2 plates
in there.
I have just found another set of instructions and it does show the 1x2 plates
being used.
I've just printed that page which I'll put with my copy.
It would be nice if Lego had made a mention of that in later copies to save the
confusion.

So what sort of age is that, the set I was building is around 2009 so the plates
are more than likely that age as they were in the bulk lot I bought, what surprised
me was the tile breaking whilst in transit, I would expect that to be a bit newer.

I had test built a set that was going to be listed on here, built it fine and
as I started to dismantle it I had parts of the edge of a 2x4 plate break off
and a 2x12 plate shatter into 4 pieces.
I had also ordered some 1x8 tiles and as they ended up loose in the box (the
bag had split) one of them was in 2 pieces by the time it arrived!

Any ideas as to why it seems to just be the Dark Red that is this bad or does
anybody know of any other colours to be extra careful with?

Reddish brown and dark red are the biggest offenders but some other colours like
blue also have had that issue during that lotr/potc era

There should be a link at the top of the order page for the order in question
to get the IOSS form.
I can't find anything online about standard international large letter, you
may have to go into a proper post office and ask them as it just keeps mentioning
about tracked etc.

There is no link nothing on the order page for the IOSS, I will pop into a proper
PO again for advice last time she just said try doing online. I wanted to try
paypal like you said but Without IOSS I'm going nowhere defiantly nothing
on order page

Not sure why you've got no IOSS number they've been up and running since
Jan 2022, if the order didn't produce one you may have to contact the help
desk in order to get one.

where did you print and pay, I'm going round in circles I filled in a CN22 online and it just downloaded it, no payment surely it must be paid online for the PO to accept it. I am checking the RM website every day hoping I can post it, now I'm trying online with no joy!

I print the postage labels and CN22 forms using Paypal, it's easy enough
to do just select how you want to send it, all my international orders get posted
out as tracked, once you select the service and enter the weight it'll ask
you to fill in the CN22 and then pay, once paid you can print everything you
need, the only other thing you will need to print is the IOSS which Bricklink
email to you or is accessed from the order.
Up until the issue that royal mail has had I would not print the CN22 (you still
have to fill it in) and hand write a sticky one as I got a roll from a post office,
it's just to save paper as Paypal prints the CN22 in the dead center of a
sheet of A4 paper and I thought that was a bit wasteful.
You should be able to fill and print labels from royal mail as well. https://send.royalmail.com/
It does look like it is only international tracked and signed or international
signed that they are letting you send. Were you trying to send it as international
standard?

Royal mail are accepting international packages only if they have been printed
at home, I had a large letter last week going to Germany, I printed off the postage
label and the IOSS receipt and to save paper Filled out one of the CN22 sticky
labels that I have, the post office at the local co-op rejected it as I hand
written the CN22, I then printed one off and stuck it over the hand written one
and it went straight away.
According to the royal mail web site they are now taking international parcels
as well but they have to be printed and paid for online, either on their site
or through Paypal or similar.

Don't even bother!

Nowadays, e-mails are rejected and the user doesn't know about this.
They don't appear in ANY box.

https://www.bricklink.com/message.asp?ID=1389918
https://www.bricklink.com/message.asp?ID=1390284

One temporary solution on your side would be to find another e-mail provider
which is less strict and rejects less.

Avoid the big ones (gmail, microsoft, yahoo...) - which are also not very cool
with our data.

Ok, I have just tested the email, my registered email address on here is a domain
that I pay for which forwards all emails to my yahoo account, I have just logged
into my domain hosting site and changed the forwarding email address to my gmail
one and sent myself a message. gmail received the message even though it thought
it was spam.
I don't want to use the gmail account as I don't log into it at all it's
just there as I have an android phone.
Is there any settings in yahoo I can change to get the emails, preferably in
simple terms as I do not understand any of the SPF, DKIM or DMARC jargon.

For the last 2 weeks I have not received any email notifications from BrickLink,
these include buyer making a purchase, buyer wanting a quote, buyer has paid
for the order and today BrickLink want me to pay my fees.
The only email I have had was about 4 days ago saying that the design studio
was looking for submissions, all of these emails come from the same email address
blservice@bricklink.com so it’s got nothing to do with yahoo preventing the email
from getting through, it’s got to be an internal issue somewhere, there is nothing
in my spam either as I regularly check that folder. I have not changed any settings
on my profile, store etc
Whilst it’s annoying not knowing whether I have to pick an order, package an
order without logging in to BrickLink every day, I’m sure if I fail to pay my
fees on time because I didn’t get an email notification I would be suspended
without a second thought!!
Anybody else having the same issues?

Many thanks

So after a few days of no emails from blservice@bricklink.com I get an email
from the Bricklink team about the designer program selecting submissions. Great
I thought they've fixed the problem! Alas all is not fixed I have just got
an order in and no email saying I have an order even though they come from the
same email address.
Seems the emails from admin get through but nothing about orders!!
